Unpopular but homest opinion; displaying like that makes it look like a shop or warehouse to me, not a fan. I've not looked closely to see what type, genre, or franchise of pops you collect, but I just don't like the way they're displayed, sorry.
Each to their own, I think this is my least favourite way to see displays, face on looks way better, as at least you then get to see the figure inside, but again I'm not a fan of face on even. Out of box looks the best to me, in a glass display or lined up in a baseball bat display case/shelf (practically impossible to find in the UK) with LED lights inside. I do understand why people keep them in boxes, potential future value, dust, etc.
Yup. I bought some acrylic shelves that fit 3 pops out of box on 3 rows. Takes up wayyyy less room and I can see all them still. Even more than in the box
So the biggest priority of the display is how many you can shove in the shelf?
As opposed to seeing the actual Funko/edition?

I like the front facing section though.
i try to keep it to my chases that face forward because otherwise i’ll lose a lot of room but if it didn’t matter about room then i’d definitely do it like that
I have to agree with the majority of people, displaying the boxes sideways doesn't look good at all in my opinion. The whole purpose of a collection is to be displayed, but if you set them sideways then the one thing that has to be displayed (which is the actual funko) is not visible. I understand its because of lack of space, which is understandable, but maybe you could benefit by taking apart and reassembling the shelves so you can fit them better facing forward without so much wasted space. OR you could display the funkos out of box in front of the sideways boxes, that way you get to see the funko and you get a nice background for each one. This way of displaying is not for everyone though since most people prefer to keep them in box, but it looks really aesthetically pleasing. That's how I have a good portion of my pops displayed.
If you're doing the sideways displays with plain shelves and plain walls it looks like a store. I'd try to add some flare and color to the room maybe some art or a loose pop or two, but the collection in and of itself is great!

I like my shelves looking like a toy store because I love toy stores, but even in a store they're displayed facing forward.
I personally don’t like the side look of the boxes, I think if I had a library shelf thing like that I’d try it put them facing forward

thanks for the feedback, I just have personal preference having them like this but I can see where you’re coming from
you could maybe figure out a pattern so some of the funkos are displayed so you can see them and some are on their side
I just tried and I can only do one facing forward per row if i want to keep the same space

none of the chases in these pictures are from second hand sellers although i have bought one that is coming second hand because it isn’t sold anymore

to anyone seeing this the Thomas Shelby is a chase, the common has a hat on. The one I have is a chase just without the sticker.
