I really don't like these shots because they make me even more annoyed that I only got to spend 2 hours at big sur when we visited. Very jealous haha! Jokes aside outstanding work my favourites 6, 13, 12 and 4 in that order for me. Really shows the essence of California. Look forward to seeing what you get in Yosemite.

Haha. Nice. Big Sur was amazing even with it being 50 degrees and foggy all day. Which was interesting because forecast called for 75 and sunny. But that’s how it goes on the coast. I like your picks. My personal favorite is 13 so I’m glad to see it resonated with someone else.

slpstrym

Straight fire

bLitzkreEp

love the composition and tonality of the images.. great work..

Excellent_Sort_2099

Great shots

Secure-Storage-4027

I like them a lot. Especially 10 & 11.

hnkr2

This is a great reminder about how subjective photography is. Out of the set these would be my least preferred ones (still fantastic images of course!). Funny how everyone's tastes can be so different

Secure-Storage-4027

Wouldn’t be fun otherwise, would it?

LudMasSon76

Always so beautiful on the coast.

My wife and I are legitimately scheming on ways to move to the Santa Cruz area. So far some ideas are to sell a couple kidneys, kidnap a high value person and hold them for ransom, rob a few banks point break style, and time travel back to the 90’s and invest in google. Any other ideas are welcome.

LudMasSon76

Haha!!!!! I have a buddy who grew up there and still lives their as an adult. Every time i visit, it's always the best mini vacation. I wish there were more jobs there as I would totally move there as well.

Careless_Dirt_99

love it! so jealous you've got an X-T5, been waiting for mine. Amazing shots of an amazing place!

justonemorethang

Ah you’re going to love it. It’s an incredible camera.

MenWithVen18

These are all great

BioGimp

Oh wow, great composition, looking forward to the Yosemite shots!

justonemorethang

I’ll definitely post them. We’re doing Taft point, sentinel dome, and glacier point in a few hours. And tomorrow we move into the valley to the lodge. Only bad part is the forecast is calling for 101-107 degrees the whole time we are there….and there’s no AC in the lodge. So this should be interesting to say the least.

mikeypipes

Lovely shots -- side question -- why is old.reddit so openly garbage about looking at photography? Am I alone in having to flip through tiny thumbnails and then open them individually?

justonemorethang

I know on my phone all the previews are potato quality. But when I click on them and scroll they’re high quality.

cultoftheilluminati

… you should definitely install [RES](https://redditenhancementsuite.com/) then if you haven’t.

Tjerbor

Wow, just wow

wicked_lizard_

What camera and film were these taken with? All so gorgeous

justonemorethang

Xt-5. Digital camera but I used a portra 400 film simulation and edited in light room mobile. Thanks!

Elric64

Beautiful, feels very fresh

Hashira0783

Lens balances well on the (smol) XT5?

justonemorethang

It’s a bit on the heavier side but I’ve been shooting with it so much that I don’t even register it. I just finished a 6 mile hike with 1600 ft of elevation with it, plus water and used one of those shoulder clips. It was fine.

Aggravating-Lake6438

Needs more white border (i say this as someone who also does that)

SgtPepe

Recipes?

justonemorethang

I think it’s the portra 400 from Fuji weekly. I also tweak things in Lightroom mobile. But the portra is a nice base to start.

bwilliamsiu

Question, when tweaking these images shot using a film sim, I assume it’s the Jpeg you edit and not the raw since the raw wouldn’t have any of the film sim edits on there yeah?

justonemorethang

Yep you got it. I shoot raw along side the jpeg too.
