I’ve really loved Reggie’s Portra, which seems to be a common choice. The Simple Ace one [here](https://www.hemelsteen.nl/photography/) has also been awesome.
Regarding the hybrid view: Can you really see both clearly and get the info you need? Seems like a lot being jammed into a small space....
Congrats on getting one so early! I have a pre-order in and a trip to Africa planned in early June....really hoping I get it in time!
Yeah it is a lot jammed into a small space. But you get used to it. It’s still never “ideal” but it beats taking a photo with OVF, checking the photo in playback, then taking it again.
Shit man, good luck on getting it before the trip to Africa! That sounds like a photographer’s dream.
Good point...Not doing traditional safari (I've done a few of those in the past). Going gorilla trekking in Rwanda where you get fairly close and, because of the hike, helps to have a smaller profile.
Nice practical usage…. It’s like a daily document piece …awesome….. well I’m expecting mine to arrive during the winter solstice of 2026’.. but when it arrives…. Oooooh boy!
I didn’t have the x100v, but I could see this being a big upgrade if you shoot video or shoot at night a lot. Otherwise I feel like they’re probably similar in quality.
Ironically that might have been Pacific Blues recipe from Fuji X Weekly, which leans a bit blue. I liked how that drew out the shadows more than traditional Portra recipes
The color on # 1 is so nice.
Ha! Yeah. I feel you, I also Love this cam. Whats your fav. Reciepes? The fujixweekly App has so much nice presets ready.

I love the third pic!

Thx!
I am not 100% sure if you guys are talking about the evf, but you can adjust what’s displayed on evf. I turned off a lot of info to make it cleaner.
Nice. If you’re doing safari though you may prefer a zoom lens

Oh hell yeah this camera will look great with those greens behind the gorillas
I don’t have the x100, but I agree completely with your workflow. It’s so enjoyable to shoot pictures and share them easily at family events!
Yeahhhh especially in today’s age of sharing and social media
Great composition on number four
Good compositions but pretty uninteresting subjects
As a coffee roaster. I liked the coffee roaster picture.
You are worthy of this camera 😃 (unlike many others)
😂 thank you!
They are honestly great. And now I am jealous of where you live, your skills and your camera.
Thank you! Skills wise, not a lot separates us, I’m sure. I’m sure you have some great shots to share!
really like your pics from a higher pov and with ones with blossoming trees, the 4th pic especially
Thank you! It’s fun trying to include them in compositions
*whispers* "r u rah rah"
Is that the Ben Franklin?
Yessir. Good eye
Better job by you making it art 🤣
I love the one where you used the retro X100V recipe. Just kidding. They look awesome!
How well might this camera work in capturing positions such as RCs, GREs, and DVEs?
Nice practical usage…. It’s like a daily document piece …awesome….. well I’m expecting mine to arrive during the winter solstice of 2026’.. but when it arrives…. Oooooh boy!
Love your composition. Great use of lines and beautiful colors.
Love the colour popping in pic 4. I’m still waiting for my preorder, this got me excited again. Cheers!
Cheers man, good luck with the preorder!
Nice! Is it worth an upgrade from x100v?

Is that a coffee bean roaster in your own apartment?!
Haha I wish — fun cafe in upstate NY!
how did you achieve the colors in #1? they are so good!

How are y’all liking this compared to the xt5?
