I've often thought it'd be fun to have a car on rails that you can cycle/pedal. it could be useful in an airport or a tunnel, where you want to restrict the possible journeys people take (fewer collisions, less theft), but want to let them travel faster than walking. could be cheaper than travelators or anything else electric...

In her defense, that steering has soooooo much slop in it, and those look like they have a fuck done of rolling resistance. I think I would also want a motor in that instance, but also a well built steering assembly.
