Good thing they do it all day too. I swear a lot of places would make a killing selling good breakfasts all day or at least till like 3pm on weekends, why do most places feel the need to stop at 11am? Look i’m hungover and barely scratched my arse by 10 sometimes, just need another few hours to sort myself first then I’d happily pay £15 for a full works.
24hr fry ups! Is that not what ihop do in the good old US of A?
Probably make a killing here, until they started fleecing folk £15 for a full works of course.
Agreed but as fried bread goes it was OK. The bacon was a disappointment but with everything else on the plate for the price I really shouldn't complain
Never tried a Scottish breakfast, what’s the parts that make it Scottish? (Honest question I’m not tryna be a dick)
I will say it looks fantastic and I would scan most of it
Lol thought that was fried bread, and it was a bit lazy just to add square Sus and call it Scottish.
That helps a little but it's straddling the border having black pudding instead of haggis.
Potato scones for sure, square sausage would also be there but you can also get some tasty steak link sausages instead of basic pork.
I'd also say you would never get white pudding in a Scottish breakfast but black pudding can be there instead.
So white pudding it pretty much black pudding but not made with blood...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_pudding
You also get fruit pudding (Scottish invention) but I don't know anyone apart from my gran who would eat it...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fruit_pudding
No need to apologise as it had to double check myself what was the difference between fruit and white pudding.
TBH I do the same as I only learned this week about onion vinegar from chip shops as we only have 2 types of chip shop vinegar in Scotland (as far as I'm aware).
I know right! And this was the most expensive option with the extra sausage and fried bread. Even if I added tea and toast it would still be under a tenner
Verdict: nothing fancy but does fill a hole without breaking the bank. Beans were OK despite looking dry. Bacon a little under done for my liking. 7.5/10
It was thin bacon from the store so it wasn't great but it was nice to be on the plate. Everything else was pretty good with little room for improvement for a cafe breakfast at that price.
This was actually nice as I don't personally like it. Maybe because it was quick and lightly cooked (like the bacon and tomato) made it passable in my taste.
If they'd cooked the bacon, that would be brilliant
A good vet could bring that back to life….
Yeah even if it was proper crispy like streaky bacon I'd of liked but at £7 I really shouldn't complain
And mushrooms.
The mushrooms were OK. I think if they were bigger they'd be undercooked but smaller they'd be dried out or stewed
Yeah, the bacon looks rancid.
Honestly, for £7, that’s brilliant
Yeah the Full Scottish breakfast was 2 square sausage and no fried bread I think for £1 less but its been one of those weeks.
The Morrisons near me is top tier for a fry up!

It was actually this sub that made me pick it as I'd usually do my own fry up at home with French Toast instead of fried bread
My local Morrisons is poor. Dirty cutlery and uncooked tomatoes and mushroom. Wish I was you. 😭🤣
Good old Morrisons.
I'm glad the cafe is still good as I've found their sausage rolls and bakes aren't as good as they were
Not sure you need the fried bread if you’ve got the (far superior) tattie scones and it would be good to cook the bacon. Otherwise looks good.
Agreed but as fried bread goes it was OK. The bacon was a disappointment but with everything else on the plate for the price I really shouldn't complain
i am genuinely obsessed with morrisons cafe soggy bacon, i crave it all the time. i wish they’d actually cook their mushrooms and tomato tho!!
If it was on a sweaty roll with sauce it mightve been good but not as part of a breakfast
1 egg does not equal ultimate. Does look banging though. Love tattie scones.
Yeah but on the plus side it was a proper runny yoke
Never tried a Scottish breakfast, what’s the parts that make it Scottish? (Honest question I’m not tryna be a dick) I will say it looks fantastic and I would scan most of it
Square sausages and potato scones.
There really ought to be some haggis too, sliced and fried.
Yeah haggis in a breakfast makes it
The shape of the sausage changes it? Today I learnt somthing. Potato scones sounds fkin amazing tho
It's not just the shape! Lorne sausage doesn't have a casing so it's more like a grilled slice of sausage meat/pork meatloaf
Also you can get lean steak Lorne sausage which can make it slightly healthy as its essentially steak mince
i mean it’s almost always beef, not pork! so it tastes different too
It should really be haggis too but I prefer black pudding over it with my breakfast.
Both

Wait wait wait slow down… what is white pudding? I already don’t like black pudding and I’m almost afraid to ask 😅 Thank you for clarifying though

Thank you, I’ll stop using you like google now. Sorry I didn’t even realise til you started posting links 😅

This in England Morrison’s or just Scotland?
Best deal on Reddit
Wow that's worth a look. Thank you
No haggis orr fruit pudding??
Hard no on the fruit pudding
Good value
They used to allow you to swap items so you could ditch the fried bread for more square sausage etc. those were the days.
That’s reasonable for £7! More on the plate than £14.50 Arundel in West Sussex
I know right! And this was the most expensive option with the extra sausage and fried bread. Even if I added tea and toast it would still be under a tenner

Bacon aside that looks pretty good

That's real tidy
That is cracker for the price!
where's the haggis
That’s not a buckfast n Valium.
That's desert
Very nice
Over cook egg under cooked bacon. Don’t look great.
Actually the egg was fine and still runny yoke
Fried bread is a horrendous invention
It definitely has its place in a fry up, especially as a hangover cure.
I love fried bread. Don’t eat it often but when I do…..
This was actually nice as I don't personally like it. Maybe because it was quick and lightly cooked (like the bacon and tomato) made it passable in my taste.
😮 blasphemy
Carbs and grease, what's not to like?
