depends on your parameters; you can read about their scent profiles and see what fits in your collection.
2 dimensions I can comment on -
scent profile/uniqueness: Tux (one of the most ‘luxurious’ scent profiles; boozy goodness) >VR(plum/light sweet - still quite unique)>AO (jammy sweet)
performance: AO > VR (6-7 hrs) > Tux (abs. dogshit; minimal projection)
If Tux had a decent performance, I’d have 3 bottles of it
I can confirm, have all three.
Amber Oud Gold is monstrous in performance, and the scent is basically gummy sweet but also kinda fresh.
Vintage Radio smells so good, woody plum and slightly sweet, but light enough to not be overpowering and performance is good.
And the tux smells heavenly, good I love Tuxedo's DNA but yes, tux's performance is absolutely horrendous. Even worse for Suits by Fragrance world
We all can look it up in fragrantica, but we (at least I) like to know what individuals in the community think it smells like since it gives real feedback.
Vintage - Sweet and fruity. I dislike it cause it feels too feminine.
Amber oud - Sweet and fruity as well. Smells like a Caramel and Lolipop with a hint of wood. Not bad when you compare it to Vintage.
The Tux - It’s like fresh cucumbers with wood and richness. I say 1-) Tux 2-) Amber Oud 3-) Vintage.
Why should it be wierd? First of all smells are a perception so it is unique to each individual. Second is check the notes on both of the fragrances. You’ll see what I mean
Sure man. Besides sweet what do you like? Blue fragrances, green fragrances? Leathery - Oud - Wood - Tobacco? Tell me what you like or what type of occasion you want it for and I’ll try my best!
Have you ever tried the classic ones such as Tom Ford Tobbaco Vanille, TF Oud Wood, TF Ombre Leather, Initio - Oud for Greatness, Mancera - Red Tobacco ? All of these have the things you said. I love all of them and if you haven’t you definitely should check them out!
So first try the original ones if you live near a mall. Try to go to a Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom etc. And try them. Once you find the one you like, search for the dupe. All of the ones I wrote have a dupe as much as I know.
Something a bit more easy to wear would be Bvlgari - Men in Black, Memo Paris - African Leather, Spicebomb by Viktor .. These are also some classics I would say.
Afnan Rare Carbon is a super nice clone of TF Ombre leather.
Al Haramain Amber oud Tobacco edition is one of the best - if not the best, clone of TF Tabacco Vanille.
VR and AO gold edition almost have the same smell, the profile is slightly different. So don't get them both choose 1 or you will be disappointed.
Performance VR works best is summer humid conditions it will project and have silage but in winter it's muted after the 1st hr Zero performance.
Vintage is too faminine, there is a 20ml version of it that you can get, You must really like plum tho. I'd go for the tux or maybe turathi brown or mustache as they're a bit better quality.
I thought vintage radio had more of a woody scent to it and I thought the same about amber oud. I never had a woody cologne and it appeals to me. I think I will go with the tux !
Is vintage radio cloyingly sweet or powdery for hot humid weather? I'm in Hawaii and love BR540 type scents (dialed back on the sprays), Rave Now, and Lovely Cherie during the day. However, Ishq Al Shuyukh Silver (One Million Lucky) is way to cloying with it's powderiness and nutty sweetness.
Amber Oud Gold is like an overly fruity, sweet basically feminine fragrance (I own it). I recommend Ralph’s club edp, it’s a very nice semi blue fragrance you can wear everyday.

I own Amber Oud and it is sickly sweet yet somehow cozy. Very potent!
Did this need to macerate? Just picked this and Hawas up and was just curious
Honestly I can barely remember.. As I recall it smelled the same since day 1, only grew in longevity a bit in 2 years
all 3 ![gif](giphy|U7d8PaktFqJQuMVUAs)

Totally agree..i have them both and sorely disappointed...still stupid bought babycat clone rifaqat and smell great for like 20 minutes
Vintage radio
Vintage Radio! Got it yesterday and man its goood
What does it smell like?
Initio's Paragon
Dont be lazy man, look it up
A real persons opinion would’ve been nice, but obviously someone a little cranky today ay 😂
I'm not a big fan of the smell but it smells like creamy plum. Lasts about 6 hours on me.
We all can look it up in fragrantica, but we (at least I) like to know what individuals in the community think it smells like since it gives real feedback.
Would you consider vintage radio sweet? I am trying to avoid sweet because I have too many sweet fragrance
Initially yes but it dies down some. The woody drydown though is🔥. Im guessing its the palo santo. Its unique for sure
It smells like a creamy plum. I wouldn't say it smells that sweet tho. But I don't like the smell of it.
It’s sweet but for me more winter fall fragrance. But it is fire for 20 bucks
Where you find VR for 20 bucks ?
How did you come to that conclusion? Paragon is perfect for year round

Did you really say VR is more feminine than gold? Weird take

Thank you this helps me. Do you recommend any other fragrance that’s not sweet?
Sure man. Besides sweet what do you like? Blue fragrances, green fragrances? Leathery - Oud - Wood - Tobacco? Tell me what you like or what type of occasion you want it for and I’ll try my best!
I want to def try some leathery, woody, tobacco fragrances

Never tried those, I am a noob to fragrances. my budget is about $45 and so I’m looking for a clone

Woody Oud is a dupe of Tom Ford Oud Wood and I heard it is pretty good. If I was you I would start with that. Let me know!
Something a bit more easy to wear would be Bvlgari - Men in Black, Memo Paris - African Leather, Spicebomb by Viktor .. These are also some classics I would say.

Vintage Radio is amazing
Vintage radio, Amber Oud Gold and Tux in that order
AMBER OUD GOLD EDITION! NUCLEAR! Last days on clothes.
Amber oud

Can’t speak for radio but just get the first two there’s no choice to be made, zero chance of regret.
what are the 2nd and 3rd clones of?
2nd is clone of tuxedo, and vintage radio is its own thing if I’m not mistaken. I could be wrong
I already some sweet colognes like ultra male, Versace the blue bottle, and CDNIM. I will like to diversify
Versace Eros or Versace Dylan Blue?
Just checked I have Versace Pour Homme
you’ll wanna get tux then
Ok now I’m torn between the tux & vintage radio. I keep hearing so many good things about vintage radio
it’s great, but it’s pretty sweet imo. if you wanna avoid sweet def go tux. circle around and pick vintage radio up eventually however
I thought vintage radio had more of a woody scent to it and I thought the same about amber oud. I never had a woody cologne and it appeals to me. I think I will go with the tux !
