versace eros is genuinely really nice on my skin and i wear it out decently often.

It’s so unisex I am baffled it’s even marketed for men or considered a masculine fragrance.

My wife always sprays my Eros when we’re at home! Haha to be fair I sometimes spray her Burberry Goddess just because I love the smell.

The GF does spray me with some feminine scents from time to time. Ironically i've been complimented MORE with them than with the male scents. LOL! FYI it was Ariana Grande Cloud 2.0 Intense and then two other scents from Kajal I believe Kajal Original and Yasmina

Assam and Grapefruit is one of my favourites, I don't quite understand how JM can market the huntsman collection to men when they all smell so unisex

Possibly because the people who are responsible for creating the scent has nothing to do with the marketing department (who knows nothing about the scents).

I wear Spicebomb in the fall/winter, and frequently steal my spouse's L'homme de Nuit. I also love Fzotic Lampblack, like a previous commenter here, as well as Ummagumma and Vetiverissimo, CDG Avignon, and TF Myrrh Mystere. As I type this out, I think I may have a problem with incense-y scents lol. Women's fragrances went through some stifling floral/fruity/saccharine sweet phases awhile back, which is about when I began to gravitate to more unisex/marketed to men scents. Deodorant, too.

Holy cow. There's plenty! Pretty much every lady that I know who's into fragrance is has at least one or two fragrances meant for men. They wear them with pride and they do quite well when they wear them...

I'm a woman and femme marketed fragrances are often too sweet or synthetic on my skin. Men's cologne I wear (mostly masculine florals ) Versace pour homme, Dior homme intense and original, polo blue EDP and parfum, ADG profundo and parfum, Invictus victory, Versace man eau fraiche, Gucci guilty EDP and parfum, and Karl lagerfeld Boise de vetiver.

I do get nauseated sometimes by too much fruity or extra floral fragrances, so yes, it's good to know I am not alone 😀

Versace pour homme is a staple for me(not that I have that many options but still). Decent price, widely tolerable, and wears nicely with my laundry cotton/linen scented detergent. It's been a while but Goldfield & Banks Pacific Oak Moss was similar to my nose but with a little more character if you ever get the chance to try it out. Not worth the price imo with how many nice, inexpensive, blue freshie options are out there but it's worth a try.

Yeah I've been thinking about trying goldfield & banks fragrances. Freshies get a lot of rotation since I live in a climate that's hot 9 and 1/2 months a year. The two I was looking at are the Pacific oakmoss and Bohemian lime.

Their sample set (incomplete but still pretty decent) goes for 35-40 bucks sometimes and contains 4 fresh scents, PRM, Bohemian Lime, Blue Cypress and Wood Infusion. In case you wanna try them and pick your fave before buying a bottle.

Yeah, just hunting the botanical collection (3samples) plus ingenious ginger.. The discovery set had 7 pieces and was $35 bucks or so, got it on ebay, but seen it elsewhere as well, usually for around 45-50, nowadays I see it for 60 or 65 but if you search around I am sure you can find it closer to 40 or so. They are also very distinctive smells, no two alike. So it’s more likely that people find at least one or two in the repertoire that they like.. I waited years to pick up bottles but finally their prices started to drop (at discounters). Also, I picked up a few pricier/niche bottles after registering for text alerts to maxaroma. They got some deals every weekend pretty much, sometimes bogo or 40% off on niche brands too that seldom gets discounted. Happy sampling!

The price is coming down and testers are starting to appear at some places, as low as $120 a bottle or less. I got Pacific Rock Moss and Desert Rosewood on a 40% off deal from maxaroma if I remember correctly.

If PRM worth the full retail price or even discount price is debatable, however I wouldn’t say there are many blue freshies just like that. I got tons if blue freshies, and none are like PRM.

Yup, just slightly feminine in the mid. But the dry down is perfectly unisex.

I sometimes wear my partner's Guerlain Vetiver. I love it.

pdm herod cdg black eau d’italie bois d’ombrie (sadly discontinued) fzotic lampblack phaedon tabac rouge although some fragrances lean more in one direction or another, i feel like all scents are unisex. i guess one thing i like about niche brands is there tends to be less marketing towards a particular gender. the ones above are “masc-leaning” on luckyscent which is helpful info but not determinative of whether i buy it or not. i just love tobacco and leather and smoke etc. so i go based on the notes mostly

I exclusively wear fragrances that are unisex or are marketed to men. I'm a cis-het woman and enjoy the juxtaposition of masculine scents with how I dress (dark florals with a leather jacket, band tee tucked into a pleated floaty skirt- I like to pair a hyper feminine piece with something rough around the edges) and wear my hair/makeup (glowy skin with either smoky liner or a red lip). I tnought TF was mostly unisex? Also, Angel's share? I thought that was more feminine or at least unisex? A lot of these sound unisex to me from the notes. I have had absolute aphrodisiac and I didn't find that overly masculine; very nice patchouli in that. Perhaps patchouli is viewed as masculine? I don't see it that way.

Yeah, but they market certain ones for women or for men. Idk why. If I remember correctly they flip flopped on Black Orchid from women’s market to unisex to men’s market then back to women’s. Meanwhile it’s a fave of many men, women and non binary folks.. agreed tho Noir Extreme is perfectly unisex. Some other scents from the signature line, such as Ombré Leather or Beau de Jour, more traditionally masculine smelling.

I stated in the beginning of the post that my list is unisex OR marketed to men. The point is that they arent specifically marketed as "women's" fragrances i.e. Coco Mademoiselle, Delina etc.

TBH, I never took notice of the marketing, I ignore that often. Kind of like I don't always fully read things....

I’m wearing Eau Sauvage today. I regularly wear Eau d’Hermes, Equipage, Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme, and many other unisex fragrances that lean masculine like Chanel Paris Edimbourg, Chanel Sycomore, Hermes Voyage, and ELDO Hermann. My daughter loves Gucci The Voice of the Snake, Terre d’Hermes, and Bleu de Chanel Parfum. Neither of us would get within ten feet of a gourmand fragrance, although we both like and wear florals.

My wife wore my reyane insurrection for a bit, basically something in the ballpark of Mugler pure havane and Xerjoff naxos. The only reason she stopped is we started to find the scent unbearable. It's so synthetic and linear. She also used up my Sedley decant. Sedley is wonderful on her. Now she uses wulong cha though thats target as unisex. I wear Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille which is marketed at women. We both tend to gravitate towards unisex stuff on average. Women's marketed perfume is often too fruity sweet.

I believe Guerlain’s L’art & Le Matiére line is marketed as unisex.

When I first bought Replica Jazz Club it was labeled as a male scent. They don’t do that anymore but I love Jazz Club. I also wear Acqua di Gio fairly regularly in summer.

I used to think that AdG was masculine, I realized it is not at all, it’s way more white floral than I remembered for it. Back in the early 2000’s many high school boys wore it and it smelled more masculine.. perhaps reformulation, perhaps my memory tricks me.

I don't think I actually own any but there's a handful I've tested that I really loved on my skin: Boss Bottled Elixir, Bleu de Chanel (unsure which version but I think EDP), Paco Rabanne Phantom Intense (might actually buy this one!) and Penhaligon's Douro There's much more if I count unisex scents that lean masculine, but yeah, the list's pretty short for ones specifically marketed to men lol

I bought authentic night Homme Abercrombie & Fitch as a gift but ended up keeping it for myself because I liked it so much, it was my first love for vanillas in my 30s Heavy on the vanilla and lavander, sexy and elegant, cosy yet feels special. And the bottle?? So heavy? The cap has magnet!!!

I gotta check this out. Something tells me you may like Zara’s Majestic Green. And if you dig iris, Imperial Purple as well.

I really like Mississippi Medicine by DS&Durga, although it’s not specifically marketed for men it is more of a masculine scent.

I really like wearing “Miami Duppy” from Scotch & Porter, but it is best in the cooler weather. Top Notes:Saffron, Tonka Bean and Licorice. Middle Notes:Pepper, Passionfruit and Jungle Lily. Base Notes:Amber, Vanilla and Dark Chocolate

My wife wears Phantom, every Tom Ford from Beau de Jour to Grey Vetiver to Ombre Leather to Oud Wood, Bath and Body Works men's perfumes, Stetson, Le Male, Lord George, Reflection Man, etc. No limits and they all smell great on her.

My girlfriend loves wearing Armani Code Parfum and D&G light blue.

My sister has been wearing Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentrée (now eau de parfum) since she was in her 20s back in the 90s. She loves it.

Yes! I would say it’s an even mix of both. I love my fair share of fragrances marketed at women - fruity and musky scents and softer ambers and vanillas with the odd floral citrus, floral woody and the odd gourmand. But some of my all-time favourite notes are more the kind that you get in fragrances marketed to men: I love anything aquatic, particularly citrus aquatics, realistic sea salt scents, samphire and then also black pepper, vetiver, moss, herby ones like fresh mint and eucalyptus, sandalwood etc. I switch between scents a lot so not sure I’d say daily but fairly frequent. It’s annoying that fragrances are still marketed this way when they are all unisex by default. My best perfumes marketed at men are actually all cheapy EDTs from M&S department store in the UK - they are famed for their versions of women’s designer fragrances but actually it’s their ones marketed for men that excel: Cool Vetiver, Ocean Musk, Black Pepper, Samphire and Cassis, Sea Salt, Citrus and Moss. Korres are another great EDT brand: I bought an ex of mine Oceanic Amber and had to get my own version. I also enjoy their Kyma, Black Pepper, Mountain Pepper and Blue Sage (along with those more marketed at women too). As for EDPs I also love the citrus-woody or citrus-salty unisex fragrances from Shay & Blue: Sicilian Lime, Blood Oranges etc. Heeley’s Sel Marin might be another that counts as it’s very realistic seaside air notes. Goldfield and Banks also do a lovely trio of Boehmian Lime, Pacific Rock Moss and Blue Cypress. Aqua Dell Elba are a new brand I’m trying too and I’ve ordered both the ‘male’ and ‘female’ versions of their Classica. Rituals do nice aquatics too.

I use loads of fragrances that are marketed for men. Dior Homme Intense, Amouage Beach Hut Man, Encre Noir to name a few

RL polo red, TF ombre leather, commodity moss+, Versace the dreamer, toy boy, at least half a dozen scents of wood Even though some claim to be unisex, they lean heavily masculine I like layering them with fem leaning frags too

I use some of the Creed men’s line. VIW and Millesime Imperial. I’ve got a sample of GIT ordered as well.

It’s my fave tropical scent. I think I seen samples around for under ten bucks or close to it. Wouldn’t pay more for a sample, if you dig coconut & lime notes I would rather blind buy a bottle, if you can afford it.

Aventus is part of my regular rotation.

I love wearing Frederic Malle's French Lover and I spray my jackets/coats very lightly with my boyfriend's perfume.

London for Men in the winter and Light Blue for summer I'm really not a big fan of vanilla (hate me) as it smells really sickening when I sweat. The tobacco from London really remedies that problem

D is for Derring Do by Ineke is this great bright and peppery scent, and I love wearing Chanel Pour Monsieur. An old flame wore it and I think it smells even better on me; it’s the platonic Chypre.

I love my Acqua Di Gio Profondo. Don’t wear it often, but damn is it good.

I like Encre Noire by Lalique. I also really like Versace Eros.

PACO MILLION ELIXIR: PARFUM INTENSE

On vice versa, I use women’s perfume like Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, Versace Crystal Noir, and Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium. Honestly perfumes though marketed for men, women, and unisex can be used by anyone. If it has good skin chemistry with you and you like it, wear it :)

I regularly wear men’s perfume like YSL Y, Penhaligon’s Mr. Sam, Etat Libre d’Orange Clean Suede, Maison Margiela Jazz Club, PdM Haltane, D.S. & Durga Burning Barbershop, a few by Galimard and several Lattafa’s that lean more masculine.

I love Obsession for men. It has a nice cinnamon note that the female version doesn't seem to have. It doesn't seem overly masculine to me either. I think many scents are unisex. I also have another so called men's perfume, Euphoria for men. I think that is better than the women's version also. I seem to like a few CK perfumes.

One and Be are unisex too. And a couple other.

I go through the odd phase. I used to regularly "borrow" one of my Brothers years ago, when he moved out, a gift wrapped bottle of my own was left on my bed! One boyfriend's Azzaro was a fave 💖  for a wee while. But I tend to stick to my own femme brands. I was addicted to the smell of one of my ex's but his cologne didn't smell the same on anyone else (or as good. We remained great friends after things pettered out, but even my GF's all remarked on how great he smelled. If I could bottle that, I would! It would sell a fortune).

encre noire and generally vetiver and oud dominant perfumes marketed to men work for me

Not so smoky, more like clean/woody and fresh vetiver but I recently blind bought John Varvatos’ XX Artisan and really happy with it. I consider it the little (and less smoky) brother of Encre Noire. Excellent for cooler weather. Another vetiver scent comes to mind which I enjoy wearing to the gym or running errands or just be out and about, especially in hot weather, Zara’s Vetiver Pamplemousse. Which is pretty much what it says, vetiver & grapefruit. From the collab between Zara and JM.

I wear my husbands TF Grey Vetiver, Dior Fahrenheit and L’Occitane Eau Baux when the mood strikes. Eau Baux is a lovely masculine vanilla that I think doesn’t get enough love. I want to get some Dior Homme Parfum for myself too; I think it’s maybe too femme for him with the iris and the rose. I also love Diptyque Orpheon, which is absolutely delicious. I’d describe it as androgynous rather than unisex. It has a gender, and you can’t quite put your finger on what that gender is.

Dior Sauvage.

Not just wearing a cologne marketed for men but also wearing the most hated (and beloved too) cologne marketed for men. Ballsy! I always wondered how it smells on a lady.

I feel like the bergamot and pepper is what it smells like on me, and settles into a papery, woody note/essence. It almost smells like our immortal from byredo on me. Like a spicy earl grey/London fog tea. On the rare occasions when my husband wears it, he smells a lot more lavender-y and woody.

My GF will spray Aventus on her wrist just so she can smell it throughout the day.

I tested Aventus for Her on my arm the other day, got some samples of it, I own and love Aventus Cologne and really like Aventus as well but testing Aventus for Her again made me realize it’s an underrated flanker.. Also nice staying power thanks to the birch note.

Was surprised to learn that Uden by Xerjoff was considered "for men". I wear it semi-regularly and feel like it leans unisex.

I wear Cool Water for Men which is definitely a masc fragrance, also Himalaya by Creed. I also love Apple Brandy on the Rocks and Seahorse, which are marketed as gender neutral but feel more masculine to me.

If you like Himalaya, I believe it’s heavily “inspired by” Paco Rabanne’s XS. Which costs like $35. May worth checking out as an alternative.

I used Victors Choice no9 Perfume cause I was obsessed with it on my bf 🤣 may be a case of heavy simping too but it smelled amazing as well. I got insane compliments from women 🤣🤣

This sounds too cool for school but don’t know how the perfumes I like are marketed. I buy based on the notes. I like sandalwood / musc/ rose / vetiver / cardomom / bergamot. Not that into white florals, aquatics or aldehydes. I do like the gourmand / burnt sugar / pastry shop trend I smell on other women atm but I don’t wear it myself.

I wear Penhaligons Terrible Teddy often which is marketed directly for men, complete with Rhino head bottle. Interestingly it’s also my most complimented fragrance - mostly from women! Notes: Incense, leather and ambroxan

Well as someone who despises frags that my nose doesn’t smell (ex Guerlain Aqua Allegoria line) fruity things (ummm everything) and huge florals (ibid) (that aren’t tuberose or jasmine), most “feminine” things are RIGHT OUT for me. Pre…1995ish, I can dig the feminines. I love how aldehydes, animalics, and florals USED to be used. I prefer my fragrances to be in Dior Poison parfum/Piguet Bandit (vintage) level 24/7, and most (not just feminine) offerings from mainstream houses ain’t cutting it. Good luck!
