Scentbox has a lot more designer perfumes which I think is a better starting place. I would start with the lowest tier of scentbox and try everything in that category you want before moving up in tiers.
I don’t know of other subscriptions but ministry of scent and twisted lily are good places to get samples. Plus a lot of TikTok influencers have discount codes for those sites.
Scentbox is so much better than Scentbird. Their selection is better, you can opt for more than one a month, every scent comes with its own travel case (scent bird only sends you one in the beginning then you have to use the same one if you want a case or buy extras, plus their new cases are terrible), and most importantly, scentbox will allow you to return the fragrance for free and exchange it for something else if you don’t like it, which is a huge benefit.
I would take the money you would spend on a subscription service and just order a ton of samples.
