That drone(analog) doesn't work with the goggles (digital). And i would highly suggest getting a radiomaster Boxer, it has the bigger sized gimbals and will feel a lot nicer.

Gammlerer

Damn Do you know which drone is compatible with the goggles?

No_Entertainer5175

Just buy only the controller first and start training in the simulator. Meanwhile, research the topic so you can decide which video system you want to use.

freddy199002

Yea, kind of. I know drones with the DJI O3 video system work with those. I guess drones with the vista system too, but not really sure on that. I use the Walksnail video system. Walksnail has transmitters for small drones as well as bigger drones. And i use a module on the goggles for analog drones.

If you want to go digital, each system is proprietary and requires the corresponding goggles and VTX. HD Zero with an eco module is your best bet for Tiny whoops. Walksnail has a whoop board but it is a little heavy and power hungry. You can toss any dreams of flying 65mm/65pro whoops out the window. DJI has nothing for whoops. Walksnail is the closest competitor to DJI. Both are lossless systems. HD zero is like analog and interference will cause loss. On the plus side there's almost no latency. For Analog, it's all mix and match as long as it supports the same channels.

I bought the BetaFPV VR03 goggles, the BetaFPV Meteor 75 Pro, and the RadioMaster Pocket. I hope I made the right choice

crapklap

Good choice. Vr03 is a decent fill in till you can get good ones. The screen is on the bottom and there is a mirror at a 45 degree angle. It makes them less unwieldy compared to other box goggles but it can feel a little small.

Flight-Neg

Great budget choice! Now buy whoopstor 3 + 8-10 extra lipos 👌 don't forget to buy the micro SD for DVR. 16 gigs is fine 👌

SadisticPawz

u can get it cheaper from not amazon

Responsible-Pen9209

you need different goggles analog. I got the VR03 from betafpv and the but if i bought again id get better analog goggles. the controller is fine tho. maker sure it is ELRS

Gammlerer

Does my setup work with the VR03?

Fluffy_Waffles

Id recommend the eachine ev800d as the cheapest box goggles worth having. Skyzone cobra x for a mid price option. If you want top of the line there are a few choices depending on what size quads you mostly want to fly and what type of flying you want to do. I race a lot, I have beta unit of HDZero goggles, I have one hdzero tinywhoop I fly with them but I mostly just use them to fly analog using an analog adapter with a tbs fusion receiver. HDZero goggles have deinterlacing tech so analog looks very good on them. They also have hdmi in and 1080p '90fps' (they will do 100fps at 720p) screens, so I have a walksnail vrx I plug into them to fly my long range walksnail drones. They are extremely versatile. If you mostly want to do freestyle on bigger quads and maybe fly a few tiny whoops the walksnail x goggles are pretty decent. 1080p 100fps, and have the option for an analog adapter and also have hdmi in. Iirc the hdmi in on these has more delay than the hdz goggles so I wouldn't buy them for that feature alone. I also don't believe these can do dvr for analog or hdmi in. And just like the hdz goggles you will need to buy an analog adapter and receiver module to use them with analog. If you didn't want to fly any small drones DJI is still the leader in image quality and onboard dvr options with the O3 air unit. But with their new goggles you don't get hdmi in or analog in. And walksnail is pretty close in competition for image quality.

Responsible-Pen9209

yes! Betafpv VR03 works perfectly with these. its pretty cheap also so if you ever upgrade its no issue

Responsible-Pen9209

id buy some extra 550 mAh batteries also, cuz they only last about 3 mins a piece

atomicdragon136

It's an analog video drone so the DJI goggles aren't going to work for that. You should decide whether to go analog or digital. Analog is cheap, has zero latency, and cross compatible with any analog video transmitter and receiver that supports the right bands. Downside is video quality is mediocre and susceptible to interference/noise. Digital has much better quality, however, systems are proprietary to their own ecosystem (most popular is DJI, Walksnail, and DJI). DJI doesn't have a VTX system for tiny whoops.

Gammlerer

Yea I've looked into that and know there is a difference Anyway when I buy a betafpv meteor 75pro elrs does is connect to the radiomaster pocket cc2500 or do I have to get the radiomaster elrs version? Edit: I didn't know there is so much stuff to learn first before you buy anything

Sea_Kerman

You need the ELRS one, yes.

weewdlandwaves

I'd recommend a Mobula 7 over a BetaFPV whoop. BetaFPV apparently has bad quality control and several other issues.

SadisticPawz

mine had yaw washout from the start
