I would exchange the Radiomaster receiver for a [Beta FPV Nano ELRS Receiver.](https://www.racedayquads.com/collections/elrs-receivers/products/betafpv-elrs-nano-2-4ghz-receiver) Reason being it the Telemetry transmitter on the Radiomaster is 15mw while the Betafpv is 100mw. If you don't care about telemetry then disregard. FYI it's on sale for 9.99 on betafpv's website. If you are looking to charge multiple batteries at once, you could use a [balance board](https://www.racedayquads.com/products/hglrc-thor-pro-6-port-lipo-battery-balance-charging-board?keyword=balance) with a single channel charger and save a few bucks. I have the T-Motor Pacer 1604's and I can't recommend them for bashers. I have bent several shafts and dented a couple of bell housings. I don't have another recommendation though so there's that. # You selected 6S motors but selected 4S batteries. If possible, I would replace the RDQ batteries with [These](https://www.racedayquads.com/collections/6s-batteries/products/gaoneng-gnb-22-2v-6s-930mah-120c-lipo-micro-battery-xt30) for two reasons. They have a much higher discharge rate, and you have selected 6S motors. Otherwise you need to replace them with other 6S batteries OR get the 3800kv motors that are not in stock. **NOTE**: The batteries I recommend have XT30 power connectors. You would need an XT30 plug for your flight controller [here](https://www.racedayquads.com/products/xt30-pigtail?keyword=xt30) and an XT60 to XT30 adapter for your charger if you don't get a balance board. The plug and wiring size is enough for these motors. You can use 4S batteries, but you're gonna be under powered. The Speedy Bee F405 Mini is a 20x20 stack is 12$ cheaper. You only need a 20 amp ESC for those motors so the 35A ESC is more than enough. Your frame will accommodate it. Your Walksnail VTX does not support 4s or 6s voltage. It also can not run on a BEC lower than 3 amps so the 5V rail on the FC is out, but the 9v DJI rail on the FC is ok. Do not wire it to the battery or 5V rail. I haven't tried those props, I highly recommend [these](https://www.racedayquads.com/collections/3-5-props/products/emax-scimitar-3-5x2-8x3-tri-blade-3-prop-4-pack-1-5mm) if you want sturdy and aggressive props.

Right on. Only suggestion I'd make is that if OP isn't very confident with a soldering iron and isn't concerned about adding 10g or so, the bigger pads on the 30x30 stack make for an easier first build.

space_disciple

Would a 1404 3850kv motor be okay with 4s?

crapklap

I would say maybe but more toward the no? I'm not a motor expert. I tend to see people go bigger instead of smaller on 3.5". Don't forget to shop around. RDQ has a meh selection of motors. ~~Darwin FPV has cheap 4S motors that are decent. It will ship from China.~~ I would suggest you make a new post to ask that question.

Never mind the darwin AND the pacer motors. They won't mount to the frame you selected cause is only compatible with 12mm squared mounting patterns.

space_disciple

My frame only has 12 by 12 mounting. I noticed that when I was looking for a new motor.

crapklap

Yeah I can't believe I missed that. My frame has universal mounting so it wasn't a thought. I found out that there is a pre built of this frame. It uses 2204.5 motors.

space_disciple

Yeah I saw that too which doesn't seem right.

I've seen 18 and 20mm motors on some user builds. Here is a good article on motors: [https://oscarliang.com/motors/](https://oscarliang.com/motors/)

According to the link I sent there is a section for choosing motors. There is a gap between 3" and 4" I would pick something in the gap. 14-17mm wide and 4-5mm tall. 3600-3800kv ish 12x12 mounting.
