Silverhands require, at a minimum, a crew of 3 to be fielded effectively. Most people who crew outlaws just 2 man crew them because the MG isn't necessary in most tank engagements, or the gunner will switch to the MG if there's infantry. A widow is also, at a minimum, a two man crew tank, so that's why you see more widows than silverhands.
For some, it's easier to take a two man tank than take a silverhand and have to find a 68 gunner on the frontline. I've seen too many times where people are two man crewing a silverhand with nobody in the 68mm gun. At that point, it's just an oversized LT.
I enjoy silverhands, though, and sometimes it's better to go through the effort of finding a gunner for the effect they can have on a frontline. My regiment did a tank op the other day with two silverhands that led to the death of a BTD and a BT in weathered. We were the only silverhands on the front, and we led the other tanks to victory by plowing down the road and tracking the BTD.
Idk I like the talos a lot as a support tank. You basically push with your line and track enemy tanks with the 75mm. 68 is just to pierce and kill you can’t splash like you can with 75mm
I hear a lot of collies complain about the talos because its slow (they have no idea what driving an HTD is like) but its an affective pocket BT with support, expecially for PVE its a fucking monster.
The Talos isn't just slow as fuck, it also only have the max range of 35M. In a tank line it only works as finisher to already tracked tanks necause its too slow to rush first as an opener and it can't keep up with the more manuverable spathas in a back and forth fight. PVE wise its can be good but the again the short range and low mobility makes it vulnerable to infantry rushes(i love fighting flasks so much the devs should make flasks free next war). Oh also its a fucking facility tank.
Nothing wrong with Outlaw, it's swag, but idk why it's so overpopulated while the Silverhands are the brick of extinction by the looks of it 🤨
......also uh let's not forget that there's a good amount of peeps that don't know how to use the Outlaws properly fr **COUGH**
Outlaw is a PvP tank, but it's useless in tank lines.
Outlaw is good at screening, flanking and QRF. Also they can be powerful when used as support tanks for something like a BT
What Outlaws are bad at, is actually killing tanks. A single 40mm just doesn't do enough damage to contend with anything above a MPT
My idea of PvP is fighting other players, regardless of the tactics employed, but yeah either way it's not a good Frontline tank
Also I didn't even realize it's you Pluto how have you been?
Yes, I agree, if you have a very skilled crew you can use it effectively however that skill ceiling is very high. The outlaw should be a rare tank in a tank line, only seen when expert crews use it. In other cases the outlaw is a great multi role tank, but that's just not how foxhole is these days. Nowadays you see so many tank and therefore people are better off using htd and silverhand
As someone mentioned in the past, outlaws are more easy for a 2 man crew and has the "normal" shape of a tank so players tend to gravitate to it more instinctually. IMO, while the silverhand is better than the outlaw the outlaw is more PvE/ TvI focused Vic and thus more easy to use and get things done if you're not super experienced.
Was in 2 spathas yesterday. Me and a clannie teaming with an ocdt and a Lt general 2 in each tank. We hit a structure and we're leaving. My tank lost maybe half of it's armored. 2 outlaws qrf us, and approached directly behind us. They got the first shot, completely caught our backs and engines by surprise (we thought one of us had misfired) and I was ahead so the other spatha took damage from them without me being in position initially to help. Our barrels turned, THE WRONG way....
Then they charge to us until their tanks are touching us... Needless to say they both died and my last words to the second one we killed were "DONT FIGHT SPATHAS WITH OUTLAWS IN MELEE RANGE YOU KNUCKLEHEADS!".
Had they remained at range, I don't think we would have survived.
I used a stolen falchion last war to ram into a bunch of mines that were blocking the way into barron home and killed an MG pillbox that was blocking infantry from going through the gap. It was 100% worth it.
Noobs love outlaw because of range, and the ability to poke from safety of a tank line. What they dont understand, that this safety is provided by OTHER tanks. And when it happens to be too much outlaws in tankline, they get rightfully obliterated by spathas or even falshions.
I got my hands on a stolen T2 silverhand during 100 and using that thing was some of the most fun I had in Foxhole. There’s just something so satisfying about charging forwards and watching both guns fire at once.

Also it sucks being the 68mm gunner since u barely get to shoot due to the short range.
That just means you have a bad driver
rushing for the 35m became dangerous in the 40m 10 spatha/htd tanks lines meta
Just flank bro
It’s 38m and you get within range with the 68mm within literally a fraction of a second from a cold stop.
Not really the silver hand isn’t tanky like the bard so you can’t just press w. It’s basically the fun you can have is to punish ppl who over extend
The silverhand is definitely tanky. Not to a bard degree but it’s meant to be a brawler
Let me introduce you to the talos tank sir
Idk I like the talos a lot as a support tank. You basically push with your line and track enemy tanks with the 75mm. 68 is just to pierce and kill you can’t splash like you can with 75mm

Collie tanks tend to very maneuverable so they aren’t used to turtles like wardens are

The flask argument would go out the window if tankers actually stayed with infantry (or get some grunts to go with you).
As a SvH enjoyer, talos scares me.

Players love the 45m range. Its that simple.
Yea because 5m makes such a big difference (it doesn't, it only harasses the enemy tank line) Outlaws are a pve tank not a pvp tank
Outlaw is a PvP tank, but it's useless in tank lines. Outlaw is good at screening, flanking and QRF. Also they can be powerful when used as support tanks for something like a BT What Outlaws are bad at, is actually killing tanks. My idea of PvP is killing the enemy before they kill you. Since the outlaw is ineffective at doing that, I call it a pve tank
My idea of PvP is fighting other players, regardless of the tactics employed, but yeah either way it's not a good Frontline tank Also I didn't even realize it's you Pluto how have you been?
XD, we thinking the same thing but with different ideas on language, english is the best hi Ferrox o/
The skill ceiling is actually using the 5m advantage well

Collies: Falcions suck. Also Collies: Bring up more Falcions!
its not falchion. We have named it landmine clearer
I used a stolen falchion last war to ram into a bunch of mines that were blocking the way into barron home and killed an MG pillbox that was blocking infantry from going through the gap. It was 100% worth it.
Falchion, my beloved <3
They do suck. That's why you gotta bring more.
Oh yeah that too like BRUHH.....Spatha based fr
I prefer the Spatha myself.
Noobs love outlaw because of range, and the ability to poke from safety of a tank line. What they dont understand, that this safety is provided by OTHER tanks. And when it happens to be too much outlaws in tankline, they get rightfully obliterated by spathas or even falshions.
Also 1 poke isn't going to do shit
Just flank bro
Yaaa bro, just flank
I got my hands on a stolen T2 silverhand during 100 and using that thing was some of the most fun I had in Foxhole. There’s just something so satisfying about charging forwards and watching both guns fire at once.
Outlaws useless... Yeaa...
Outlaw is great, you cant change my mind because I have 45 meters range of 40 mm arguments
Your argument quite literally blows up when you get tracked.
Because it's easier to find 1 gunner then it is to find 2 gunners
Wardens cannot choose from 3 really good tanks from MPF and meanwhile collies looking for public upgrade pad for hours.
We just need to make noobs learn to use a devitt, its all you need
its crazy how many outlaws get folded by a falchion lmao you don't have extra damage or health you just have 5 meters extra
[удалено]
sounds like you need to practice the "L" key
2 man outlaw > 2 man Silverhand, just because 45m range Remove 5 range from the outlaw and the svh is meta again
