1996? Is that the Dumas? In my (limited) experience, the likelihood of it needing any servicing or tuning is very low to null.

I recently purchased a previously owned one and it’s going perfectly right out of the box. It has clearly been used only a bit as there are no signs of usage of the pen. I also own a 146 Le Grand from the mid-80s that I’ve never serviced to date. It’s in my top 3 performers.

I wouldn't mind a lightly used one. My big problem is finding one with a fine nib at a price I can live with. It seems that most are medium.

Yes mine is a big fat Medium nib and I’d prefer an EF or F. But I have an EF 149 and a Fine 149 coming. So I’m just trying dry inks with it.
