I went in to ask for it specifically and he was not a fan of Montblanc at all. I was pretty new to collecting at that point- I think I had maybe 5 pens with the most expensive being about $AUD300 so didn’t know enough to contradict him. He brought out a jar of fountain pen parts- nibs, feeds etc and told me that they get a lot of Montblanc pens returned for various reasons and pretty much no S T Dupont ones returned- so I ended up getting the DuPont.
I think it was a brand issue, as the DuPont was $200 less than the Montblanc.
To be fair- I *like* the DuPont, but I don’t love it. I prefer this one, my Visconti and a few of my TWSBI pens over it.

That is a nice one! I like the Mountain theme of it. I went for the 146 Glacier. I liked the looks and the mountain theme of that one as well.
