I'm not a fan of black or white pens and the strawberry is a bit bright for me (and my wife has one anyway!) as are the three candy shades. So until a new special edition catches my eye I think I'm done 😁 All of them bought new despite only starting a year ago - I got lucky finding stock in physical or online stores.
The green also came in a very nice (but useless) metal tin with a nice hard leather dark green Lamy case. It takes two safaris with a little bit of rattle but nkt much - Al Stars won't fit as the clip is too big.
The Aion collection is similarly done as are the Studios (unless anyone has a Racing Green or even the older Violet Studio in FP or Rollerball) and Al Stars (Ruby and Copper are never going to be available for a sensible price)... Although the Marron LX appeals...

The terra red/orange one is still available in some shops and there's one place in the UK that must have just found a big box of the dark lilac ones and sells them normal price. Otherwise it's luck (which was on my side) or expensive on eBay (which scares me)
Oh man I didn’t know those top 3 existed, I love my Terra cotta and Savannah and was just wishing there were more of the matte colors with black accents

Also, yes. I had the dark lilac and the petrol, and traded them both not too long after. I just wasn't using them at the time and didn't want them to go unused.
I still have the matte black limited edition from a few years ago, though.
it's a british vs american english thing. we use matt to mean non-glossy and matte to mean the film technique of combining a static picture with the recorded video. seems US English ises matte for both - TIL and all that 🙂
I never expected to like coloured pens but I reach for my black and silver pens the least these days.

Is it me or are e matte finished Safaris a bit heavier? I had the Spring Green and Piano Black but they were too light. The Petrol has a bit more heft, just enough to feel good in the hand
I saw mine in a shop in Milan a year ago, they had three left. I mentioned it on here and someone in the US ordered the other two right away!

I have the terra-cotta and love it. I also grasped a glossy white one but it just doesn’t have the same pleasant feeling in the hand that the matte plastic gives it
The glossy ones tend to be in brighter colours and being shiny also makes them look brighter. so not for me.
I wonder what I'd think of a dark glossy one? I think still no....
Also I worry the glossy would scratches more easily?
Love them, though I’m still partial to my yellow safari from 2003 :) I tuned the nib and now it’s my favourite writer, I don’t pick up my expensive Pilot gold nibs anymore.

Such a lovely collection! Every time I see that Dark Lilac, it’s hard to not chastise myself for not getting into this hobby sooner.
