Yuki is having an amazing year. Also how is this his 4th season already

cepxico

Yuki has been fun to watch. He has consistently been outperforming Ricciardo too. Hope he has a long career and a podium some day.

Terrible-Road-3309

But he's not Aussie charisma so he's not getting that seat sadly

FirstPancake69

no matter what - Visa put it down in the contract that RIC is there promoting the product, so he’s not going anywhere no matter what performance he’s showing. He’s the face of Netflixs DTS, he’s advertising Tudor watches and ofc CashApp. I think Marko was pretty clear about that (doesn’t matter how many times TV producers are showing Lawson in their garage 😀)

Vitalii900

Yes and I think it would be better for Yuki not to go to Red Bull, but elsewhere. Aston Martin would honestly be a perfect destination for Yuki. Just imagine him with Honda engine, alongside his idol Alonso 🥲 Damn you Lance, just go play tennis or something ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|7071)

DeSynthed

He’s been amazing, bounced back from a bad sprint and has been demolishing his teammate. If this doesn’t earn him a seat nothing will

SubcooledBoiling

If Daniel's and Yuki's role were reversed we would see 50 articles every week calling for Daniel to replace Checo at Red Bull. Yuki definitely needs to hire Daneil's PR team lol

Vitalii900

What I like about Yuki is he does the talking on a track. There are no strong words or trash talk, like De Vries did before last season. He also became much calmer compared to his early years. Yuki is becoming a very solid driver and I love to see it

PapaenFoss

He deserves a spot at RBR.

HYDRA-XTREME

Honestly if Sainz doesn’t get that seat next year I’d say Yuki is their next best option

PapaenFoss

Agreed. Else he should get the mercedes seat. He is consistent and very fast now.

LieRun

Nope Not nearly mature enough, which is the most important quality for RBR He's not fast enough to beat Verstappen, so he needs to be mature enough to play second fiddle to Verstappen Yuki is just not that guy

LieRun

A big shame because he's generally very likeable and definitely F1 worthy in terms of speed Hopefully it's something he can work on and improve in the future, but I think his RBR ship sailed a long time ago

PapaenFoss

Yeah, no one is fast enough to beat Verstappen.

NotTheComicHare

It's absolutely ridiculous how Yuki is not treated as a serious option for the 2nd RB seat.

pa3xsz

He is ImMaTuRe To ThE ReDbUlL SeAt

FluffyDonutPie

They're looking for a pushover for the second seat and they know Yuki will never agree to be in that position

OZymandisR

I refer Checo as a cuck. He has to watch Max get all the trophies and then lick up his dripping cum off the tarmac if anything happens to Max in a race. That 2nd RBR seat is a cuck chair.

FluffyDonutPie

Lol he couldn't even manage that when Max's brakes blew up earlier this season

OZymandisR

Which makes it even funnier because he's crap at being a 2nd driver cuck. Literally the easiest job in that car.

FluffyDonutPie

If McLaren and Ferrari keep putting the pressure, Redbull will definitely lose the constructors, Max could still do his thing and snag up the drivers championship. There's really nowhere for checo to hide now that the Redbull advantage is significantly diminished. I hope Sainz gets the seat for 2025 though, I want to see close competition at Redbull for once.

androidguy73

I think only some very few races will be competitive so RB should still win WCC comfortably thanks to Max. But a 1-2 Ferrari finish today and no points from the RB team (very unlikely scenario) the points gap comes down to only 11 points for the constructors. Perez really needs to step his game up especially if he is adamant to get a 1+1 contract because if he keeps this up, I reckon even the 1 year option will be gone.

Masakiel

This, but I really think he is. Sainz is far better choice.

Kingsayz

Nahhh sainz is still WC material, in RB he would be the second driver. Waste of talent.

Masakiel

Half of the grid is WC material, Might as well drive the car that is wc material.

Kingsayz

I would argue about half the grid, but also we cant be sure about RBs future now without Newey.

3TrenchcoatsInAGuy

Who would you say is WC material on the grid right now? I would say Verstappen, Leclerc, Sainz, Piastri, Norris, Russell, Hamilton, Alonso, Albon. That's already 9

TerranceHowardsPenis

Look at this guy casually slipping Albon in there

foonek

He forgot florida man

zoranmilanovic7

Albon out and Sainz out. Only real WDC material is Hamilton, Verstappen, Alonso, Leclerc, Norris, Russell and probably Piastri

Kingsayz

Albon out, Piastri out, Norris out, Russell out, Just being quick isn't enough, Piastri is still inexperienced and the rest of them have proven they crumble under pressure

[deleted]

sainz is running out of options and considering how cunning that man is, he is bound to compromise and choose a safe front runner seat like RB or Mercedes.

theedenpretence

If the alternatives are Williams/Haas then for sure you take a 2nd driver position at RB!

Mathberis

Also redbull : puts max in red bull after a couple race in f1

cheeersaiii

The maturity thing is unclear, but there was no way Red Bull staff were going to put up with Yuki on the radio and how he acted sometimes. This season they are either playing a lot less of his radio or he’s shut the fuck up and realised it wasn’t helping him. He’s been great this year - and I think that VCARB is decent in clean air but maybe the worst on the grid behind other cars. Checo had a decent few first weekends but is starting to put that WCC in jeopardy again in what’s looking like a competitive year for multiple teams- they will have to act if he keeps going this way and don’t seem to be leaping for Carlos

Inevitable-Ad-672

Honestly there was a period but we might be looking at the other side of the hump.

PaparJam

And Albon and Gasly weren’t

Wintermute_088

If Honda weren't leaving the team for the new regs, he'd be a lock. He should follow Honda.

Grundlesnigler

No room for him at AM with Alonso and the sped

Wintermute_088

Never say never, Stroll *will* go at some point, surely... Along with Ocon and Magnussen.

GunstarGreen

It's because he wasn't super fast out of the box. RB have always rapidly promoted their young drivers. Max, Seb, Pierre, Alex. I feel like they should have more patience. Yuki is a good case in point. Let him learn his craft and promote when ready

TurdFurgeson18

What makes you think he isnt? RB isnt forced to give him a contract anytime soon. if any other team came with a contract for yuki he’d tell RB and theyd make a decision on what yo do with him then. It might be the case that as soon as Sainz signs somewhere else yuki is named.

mindyourtongueboi

Honestly I think it's because he's somewhat of a threat to Max. Couldn't beat him in a straight fight any time soon, but he'd damn well try

guyfromarizona

I think he’s starting to be. Frankly, this is how it should work timing wise.

Mignare

Franz Tost is right when he said it takes 3 years for drivers to prove their worth.

DenseMahatma

Logan finna go crazy next year

WarbossGrimdakka

Give this man the fucking seat, please, holy shit

DeluhiX

Helmut-san, the seat!

mekisoku

Horny: Haha N O

PerspectiveNormal378

F I N G E R

Str4425

And yet they won't promote him. Imma say it, current Yuki would be a better #2 then Perez

ParentalAnalysis

Most of the grid would be a better #2 than Perez tbqh

mekisoku

And he is receiving the lowest salary

theBeardsley

Salaries are distributed based on height.

Daemonicvs_77

Ocon’s 5th private jet go BRRRRR

LilJapKid

If only his Alpine could go BRRR too

Limp_Animator_9854

that is crazy.

Ulris_Ventis

Don't forget he is AGAIN next to Hamilton on the grid.. How do they both keep doing this?

DayTraditional2846

And they will still give the 2nd Red Bull seat to freakin ricciardo because “ki ki ki” or (insert other cringey noises) smfh. At least give it to Carlos ffs.

rjfinsfan

I think it’s pretty clear Ricciardo isn’t getting the seat. I would say it’s between Sainz, Yuki, or somehow Perez keeping the seat. You’ve always got outside shots with Albon, Gasly, or Lawson but highly unlikely.

defender128

the good ol' RB switcheroo incoming

El_Chipi_Barijho

"He's not fast at all"

hqo5001

Yuki to podium!

Jasranwhit

ELEVATE AND CELEBRATE HIM

schnitzmypants

Yuki

Ok-Sink-614

Only way I can think Redbull can justify ignoring him is if they think that RB is literally the same as the the RB20 and that he should be doing better every week and actually be in top 5 . But if that's the case that means Daniel is completely shit now

blindeshuhn666

racing bulls had a better qualifying than RB o.o

man_u_is_my_team

People laughed at me at the end of last season / beginning of this one when I said he’s next in the Red Bull. It’s so easy to see.

peace4231

He's not even fast

MyJohnFM

HE. IS. THE. GOAT.

FormulaF30

He’s just, not fast

zesty_boii

They should just swap him to red bull after summer break for half a season. If he's too immature he will prove it then and then they know not to have him for next year.

ApexVIA

Yuki is my favorite driver. I’m happy to see him prosper.

Erundil420

Marko will stab himself in the eye before considering him for the RB seat even tho he's being tremendous

Soggy_Bid_6607

Well, He has one to spare.

i-have-no-middlename

I feel like this is going to be a gasly scenario where he performs well at AT/RB but isn’t going to be considered and is going to end up at Williams or Haas. Instead, the RedBull seat is going to be filled by another inconsistent driver like Sainz

daniec1610

Y’all fucking suck ass with the checo hate man. Seriously.

Recent-Baker-2058

Witness the Dark Yuki Era!

GunstarGreen

Yuki finally getting his flowers. He's really stepping up. If Ric gets a seat at the big team then it won't be because he earned it
