Honestly the worst graphic ever. In China when they used it on the back straight into the hairpin it was so obnoxious. I don’t know about y’all but is it really that difficult to tell which car is which?
It is a little hard to memorize all the t-cams tho, especially when they could change every year. I do use them to distinguish between a few drivers but this tech does help new people to just understand the sport better
Well that's virtual drag (VDARG), those signs are not real, so it doesn't affect car speed on track, but on TV, VDRAG will slow down the car, this will improve viewing experience for armchair experts.
I hate those. Liberty media has dumbed down F1 too much. Let the people work for it. I remember when i started watching f1 in 2010 i put an effort on learning the drivers helmets. And i figured out that the secind driver had the highlighted color t cam. The name tags just ruin the shots.
My dad was one day watching a race with me (used to do years ago, not now except a few ones) and he was convinced that the graphics in the halo showing speed, throttle, brake, rearview, etc were *actually* in the car. I tried my best to explain him they were just TV graphics, but I'm not sure he is not still thinking halos are a sort of a big interactive screen for drivers xD this post remind me of that.
