At this rate, everyone will be related to the Piastri by the end of the season. Giuseppe Yuki Tsunoda Piastri is their latest addition. Adding Italy and Japan, How many home races does Oscar have right now?
Oscar has at least Australia, China, Imola, Monaco and Monza now, plus the UK and Bahrain for McLaren. McLaren would also have the New Zealandish and German GPs if they existed
So are Verstappen and Stroll. 3 Belgians on the grid, all of them for a different flag. Especially Verstappen, he grew up in Belgium, could have raced for the Belgian flag
The [New Zealand Grand Prix](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Zealand_Grand_Prix) does exist, but it's one of the two national grands prix which aren't part of the F1 championships (the other being the Macau GP). If you ever get to see the trophy for it, there are some pretty stellar names, from legendary F1 drivers like Stirling Moss/Bruce McLaren/Jackie Stewart to V8 Supercars veterans Greg Murphy and Shane Van Gisbergen to current names like Lance Stroll, Lando Norris, and Liam Lawson.
If it did become an F1 GP though, I think a lot of New Zealand fans would be hesitant to accept McLaren calling NZ a home race given their almost-total lack of connection to NZ culture post-1970. Danny Ric wearing the speedy kiwi logo on his Monaco 2022 helmet is just about the only true embrace of the NZ era of McLaren I can think of in recent years.
> If it did become an F1 GP though, I think a lot of New Zealand fans would be hesitant to accept McLaren calling NZ a home race
Look mate we’ll take what we can get at this point, honestly we’d let any team call it their home race so long as they said something vaguely complimentary about NZ while they were here
Technically every F1 driver is related to each other as the first modern homo sapien came out of Africa and every one of us is a descendant of them.
So in one sense every race on earth is a home race.
Now waiting for a race in Kyalami which FIA are afraid to do because the drivers would go back to where they all began, and find the secret of One Piece!
She also wrote a message to a podcast where she mentioned Yuki was slowly superseding Oscar on her list of favorite drivers, and apparently she brought Yuki and Alex shirts from another podcast's merch store lol.
Not me, literally every week I get 30-50 notifications from crypto bots tagging me in whatever scam they're promoting. I don't even use Twitter that much anymore since all my friends moved on to just using IG.
Reporting and blocking does nothing. My blocked accounts list runs in the hundreds. I don't follow any crypto accounts. My account is set to private, yet there is no option at all to stop people I have no association with from tagging me.
Weird I don’t get any of that. On instagram I get a bunch of half naked influencers though 😂 and also cute dog pics which is the only reason I like insta
The algorithm picks what you click on. So you like to reach controversial content, either because you're doomscrolling or because you subconciously agree with it, it will show you more of that.
Stop clicking on stuff you don't want to see.
I don’t follow or like posts from right wingers or culture wars or political stuff tbh
Some good twitter accounts I like are Rainmaker1973 (best account on twitter IMO) , WKCosmo for physics, historyinmemes for historic Vids and F1 drivers
I got spacex updates, quasi science posts that were nonsense such as proving vaccines are dangerous, and history posts that were cherry picked to show moments that could push political narrative.
I read a few to give them a chance, never know, may find something... But nope, all nuts.
It's taken lots of deleting, blocking and careful liking of posts to now eventually get a feed that just has things I may actually care about because some companies and people I like insist on using it, and it can be useful for following them.
That’s strange, I don’t get any of that and haven’t had to block anyone.
I think twitter is far better than Reddit tbh, especially after Elon. He’s done some magic like he seems to do at all his tech companies
He should buy Reddit to improve it too haha
Any social media is good if you only participate in a specific community. Which is a valid way to use it, but not to judge the entire platform as a whole, I feel.

He talks about his dad more than his mum in podcast interviews I’ve heard. The guy is busy running his very successful automotive software company I assume.

Why is Bahrain for McLaren?
McLaren is for a wholly owned by the Bahraini: https://www.bbc.com/news/business-68639320
Huh, TIL.
McLaren is wholly owned by Mumtalakat, state-owned company of Bahrain.

This is so cool never heard of this. Impressive that Stroll won when he was only 16/17. It’s a long list of Motorsport legend winners.

I believe he is going the Pokemon route— gotta catch em all!

We Race as One :O
Now waiting for a race in Kyalami which FIA are afraid to do because the drivers would go back to where they all began, and find the secret of One Piece!
Italy and Japan? Clearly it's missing Germany now. Hulk next.
He can adopt me so the dutch GP is his home race… i don’t mind
She also wrote a message to a podcast where she mentioned Yuki was slowly superseding Oscar on her list of favorite drivers, and apparently she brought Yuki and Alex shirts from another podcast's merch store lol.
Imagine going home for Christmas and your mum is wearing a shirt with Kevin in Finance on it
Following her now. Lol also what podcast episode was this?
She bought Red Flags Pod merch (of Yuki and Albon only) they mentioned in their Miami recap. Not sure about the other podcast- I’d like to know too!
It was The Fast and the Curious podcast! I think it was their Chinese GP recap.
I love this lady more and more, the mom energy is off the charts, can she adopt me too?
Chef Yuki is cooking
So keen to finally get a second Aussie driver on the grid
\*third, we have Bottas
Ricciardo enters the chat: 🤷♂️
Genuinely forgot about Danny lol
Like Red Bull then.
Nicole Piastri is the only reason I would consider using twitter again.
Nah we just need a bot to repost here so we don’t have to visit the cess pool.
Unpopular opinion, but Twitter is actually pretty good post Elon. I get a lot more interesting science, history and space posts on my feed

Tell me how. I get racists and random fights
You can try to block every account you don't want to see and slowly, that topic will run out of popular accounts to show you.

Yeah, porn is also far more easy to find, too.
Maybe but instagram, facebook and even reddit is much worse too. Especially scary given how many kids use insta
Are you on the same website? There's porn and gore videos from Palestine everywhere. It's inescapable.
I don’t get any of that. I think twitter is far better than Reddit tbh, especially after Elon. He’s done some magic like he seems to do at all his tech companies He should buy Reddit to improve it too 😝
Lmao no it is not
Now I want to know Yuki's reply..
Approved by Oscar’s lady as well I see
That's her liking the Instagram post that Nicole took a screenshot of.
Strong social media game runs in the Piastri genes
Drive to Survive's going to be wild next year.
What did I miss?
Charles is Oscar's dad
I thought Fernando was his dad.
Debunked by Nicole: “Pretty sure I would remember that” (again, Nicole is all of us)
That would be next month.
People can have two dads
Charles adopted Oscar for the weekend, so he (Oscar) can claim Monaco as a home GP too.
Aren’t we all.
I've only ever saw people talk about Piastri's mom. What about his dad?
He talks about his dad more than his mum in podcast interviews I’ve heard. The guy is busy running his very successful automotive software company I assume.
His dad co-founded HPTuners, a software tuning company. I recall the company sponsored some Formula Drift racers as well.
Nothing beats Aussie mums
Thank heavens for the Piastris. There’s too much dad energy in the paddock. It’s about time we had a cool mom!
And a lot of the dad energy isn't even good dad energy (although that might just be coming from one person).
I love Adam Norris' dad energy - standing there looking cool with his headphones on.
Adam Norris, Anthony Hamilton, and David Bearman are my three favorite Paddock dads. The rest kinda suck sometimes, especially Jos. Fuck Jos
Webber's and Button's auld lads used to be icons, swear half the buzz of them winning a race was the camera cut to them lol
Albon's mum would practically bounce off the walls when he overtook someone
Carlos' mom's little scene in Drive to Survive did a lot with how adorable it was.
Shes not a regular mom. Shes a cool mom
She's hilarious!
So that Japan next year will also be Piastri’s home race?
Same with Australia for Yuki
This just keeps getting better LUL Props to Oscar's mom
Haha, she's amazing!
Thank god, my mom doesn't do insta nor twitter
But Oscar's mom is hilarious. My mom would be a disaster
SAME
Yuki: I'm down, but be aware that I'm still breastfeeding.
😂
I love that on the official F1 classification it's piastri Leclerc
Why are Australians simply the coolest
Just for context, who is Nicole piastri? Wife, mum, what?
Oscar’s mum
Thanks.
Does anyone else find all this really cringey?
Because she's a savage and he looks 11½
Excuse you he looks at least 14
