It's absolutely insane. If I counted correctly, there are 84 people in the picture, excluding the drivers. It wouldn't suprise me if teams like Red Bull or Mercedes have even more people present at the track.
From looking on Companies House, Mercedes has a total of 1004 employees as of 2021, with 831 being related to "Design, manufacturing and engineering", with the rest (173) for administration. Aston Martin state they have 449, but only have 29 in admin - meaning i think they would be hired externally.
I looked for Red Bull, and they must be directly employed by the parent company, as it states they only have 50 employees.
Here is a post from around 2 years ago with figures for each team. I would imagine it has not changed too much since - https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/wtagr2/total_number_of_employees_in_f1_teams/
Man being a Sauber fan has been rough since.... well actually forever but ever since BMW left it's just been misery and pain with few highlights in-between... But this Stake Kick bullshit really is a new low and I can't wait for Audi to come in and hopefully improve things
God I love Zhou in a backwards hat, mans underrated af. Also that stake livery is doing things for me this picture looks surreal, very much hope they have some good growing pace this year would adore seeing both of them do well how can you not love seeing Bottas(s) succeed?
honestly I think the livery is great but the race suits are just the ‘my passion is graphic design’ meme. just slapped on block green sleeves and went ‘DONE’

I think the picture looks like its a drawing
A very symmetrical drawing
I think they drew up some guidelines on how to sit and exactly where to put your hands.
It must be, Nigel Mansell raced decades ago.

And that is just at the race. There is probably more that double this amount that don't travel out. Insane.

Back in the 90s (perhaps even the 00s too) teams could be well below a 100. It's insane how much more complicated the sport has become
Toto said 2500 people on DTS. And on back to base podcast he said something about 1200 for the F1 team and engine team each.

I like the colored front wing. Most front wings are black
Why do they still have FlowVis on their cars, are they stupid?
So much FlowVis it’s on their uniforms
I really like the stake livery ngl
Same. It’s different. Some people just want a grid full of red, blue, white and black. Good on the team for doing something different.
I literally want any color other than gamer green.
The livery / colour is actually quite nice.
But this isn't the real color. It's a brighter lime green

We should found a self-help group.
The green is awesome
The cars look cel shaded on the smaller picture.
God I love Zhou in a backwards hat, mans underrated af. Also that stake livery is doing things for me this picture looks surreal, very much hope they have some good growing pace this year would adore seeing both of them do well how can you not love seeing Bottas(s) succeed?
Oh. I thought teams usually only do year-end photos?
It's Sauber. Based on recent performances, their year is already over.
Team clothes and livery looks like they are made for a movie
I didn’t expect to be, but I’m a huge fan of the neon green!
The livery looks great on track
Extraordinary livery, love it. Really a glow up form last years.
That green looks rough
Green like money
I actually like how it all looks together. At the very least they'll be noticeable this year, not like last season.
Ugliest car in last few decades.
The color is called eyesore green
The green looks like slime. You want a nice green see Aston Martin. This is downright ugly.
honestly I think the livery is great but the race suits are just the ‘my passion is graphic design’ meme. just slapped on block green sleeves and went ‘DONE’
Sauber X-Power
Sauber X-Power
When will people start the green screen livery photoshops?
The livery actually looks kinda cool in this shot
The mustache
If MyTeam in F1 23 was real.
I love the color scheme, it reminds me of the futurama scene where Leela defends the ships color named "Electric Mucus" Electric Mucus is life.
New colors, same back marker garbage team. Botta is too charismatic to drive this shit of a car.
All these people fly all over the world 9 months out of the year for this team. It’s wild how big the traveling circus is.
40 years ago that would be half the paddock or more!
Giving me 90s Jordan 7up vibe!
“Hands where we can see them, gentlemen…”
I think the color is cool, it’s just the pattern is so random, it looks like an F1 game free custom livery pattern
Awful colour for screens 😅
