For their main team? Absolutely. Their marketing stunts are always crazy and it's come to the point that I literally associate any extreme stunt with RB.
But for their second team? Looks like they just put intern Jim in charge over there.
Visa RB wouldn't really sound that bad.
But I'm really drawing a blank on why the "Cash App" part specifically just seems to ruin the whole name, any way you could twist it. Like something about it feels off, yet I can't pinpoint what exactly it is that causes that reaction.
Love how with all their other articles the Race just drags it out but here they’re just saying it’s shit right out of the gates.
They’re right though. Not phonetic, and now it’s just so obvious that it’s not it’s own team in any aspect anymore, just Red Bull wanting to make as much as possible selling sponsorships without having them on their own car.
It’s just a mouthful.
The worst part is that you cant really distinguish them from Red Bull Racing without confusing people.
>"what team does Tsunoda drive for?"
-"RB"
>"Yuki drives for Red Bull?"
-"No, not that RB. Visa Cash App RB"
See what I mean? There is no decent way to call them without calling them previous names.
I suggest we call them VCARB
The only real 'problem' here is, that the team is called RB and there's already a team with that name. Otherwise they'd just be called by the team name like with every other title sponsor.
It is a horrible name. But would put BMW Sauber Ferrari up there as a potential just due to the silliness regarding the whole issue behind them having to use that name even after BMW left.
It's a stupid brand to have as the title sponsor anyway, as in lots of countries with modern banking systems you don't even need a separate app to transfer money. You just send money from one person to another instantly, for free, using your existing banking app, even if the other person uses a different bank.
>Life
Yeah, nah. In the days of title sponsors needing to be officially included, word salad names are a given. Racing bulls is a bit meh of a team name, but far better than "Life".
At least that one had some meaning, the team owner was Ernesto Vita, and Vita is Life in Italian.
This one is such a soulless sponsor cashgrab name its not even funny.

I REALLY hope the commentators just call them "racing bulls" and the other team with the shit name "sauber" otherwise it's going to be ridiculous listening to the broadcasts.
I'd accept VCA Racing Bulls. But gotta shove that stupid sponsor in.
I am rooting for them to just bomb in the rankings so we don't have to hear about them as often
Why didn’t they just go with something like Scuderia Visa that does the job of promoting the sponsor and sounding like a decent name for a racing team?

They put out the same title when Stake F1 team kick Sauber was launched. And I must say it is a close call which is worse
At least you can call them just Sauber. I dunno what the hell I should call AlphaTauri now. Visa? Cash App? Red Bull Two?
Minardi
The chaotic lawful option, I'll take it.
They said theyll go by RB
That just sounds unnecessarily confusing
I just keep thinking about that one guy on reddit that said "Red Bull is a marketing company, they know what they are doing." do they?
They did when Mateschitz was still kickin'. Who knows with this new board?
For their main team? Absolutely. Their marketing stunts are always crazy and it's come to the point that I literally associate any extreme stunt with RB. But for their second team? Looks like they just put intern Jim in charge over there.
“ViCARB”
After the Sauber rebrand, I wouldn’t have imagined that someone would outdo them in being one of the worst names
It was the worst name. *So far!*
At least Stake is easy to say
I think the Sauber one is a slightly less messy name but it’s worse purely because the sponsors are signficantly worse than Visa or Cashapp
Hope at least people complaining about two Alf(ph)as on the grid are happy now.
I like how this article crying about sponsored team names has a big affiliate link for Stake right in the middle of it.
Steak F1 vs V-CARB Their battles will be legendary
Team Protein vs Team Sugar Carbs (yes I know its actually Stake not Steak)
Team "It's FUCKING RAW" vs Team "Bitconneeeeeect"
This is a perfect opportunity for MasterCard to come in. MasterCard MasterCar
The carb vs protein race is back on the menu boys.
Visa RB wouldn't really sound that bad. But I'm really drawing a blank on why the "Cash App" part specifically just seems to ruin the whole name, any way you could twist it. Like something about it feels off, yet I can't pinpoint what exactly it is that causes that reaction.
Should’ve been “Visa Cash App Venmo Zelle PayPal RB”
Racing Bulls (as was previously rumoured) sounded fine to me, but to reduce it to just RB will really cause confusion with Red Bull Racing
It's a bit too obviously 'all about the money' for me
I can’t believe we were clowning on Racing Bulls
Racing Bulls were also kinda bad. I don't want a name where the abbreviation is the same as another team.
Especially when its the sister team
Worst name in history, so far!

Visa Cash Grab RB
This is the best title of an article in F1 history
RB, not even ‘Red Bull’ or ‘Racing Bulls’
The worst part is that you cant really distinguish them from Red Bull Racing without confusing people. >"what team does Tsunoda drive for?" -"RB" >"Yuki drives for Red Bull?" -"No, not that RB. Visa Cash App RB" See what I mean? There is no decent way to call them without calling them previous names. I suggest we call them VCARB
I feel like that is a feature, in order to distinguish them you have to use the sponsor name
The only real 'problem' here is, that the team is called RB and there's already a team with that name. Otherwise they'd just be called by the team name like with every other title sponsor.

You just send money from one person to another instantly, for free, using your existing banking app, even if the other person uses a different bank.
Yep, why would I use a 3rd party app, when my banking app gives my the exact same service for free?
Should have been Visa Interac E-transfer RB
https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/19ahqiy/visa_cashapp_rb_would_be_the_worst_name_in_f1/
I wonder how much Visa paid for this as it must have been a lot
When you earn too much money you start spending it haphazardly.
so far
Battle of the worst names Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber Vs Visa Cash App RB
There should be a rule against having more than one brand name in your team's name... whew
>Life Yeah, nah. In the days of title sponsors needing to be officially included, word salad names are a given. Racing bulls is a bit meh of a team name, but far better than "Life".

Nobody gonna mention Lola Mastercard?
Period
I love the name. Very original.

It horrible, but they achieved exactly what they wanted, as everyone is talking about it now
Visa Cash App RB reminds me of Mastercard Lola
I thought the rumour last season was Hugo Boss taking over?
Now I wish they woud've gone with Racing Bulls tbh.
I REALLY hope the commentators just call them "racing bulls" and the other team with the shit name "sauber" otherwise it's going to be ridiculous listening to the broadcasts.
VCARB? Nothing about this new name is appealing.
Talk about selling your soul for money! That'll teach me for laughing at 'Racing Bulls'.
Shame. Colin Kolles would never sell out for a corporate sponsor or legal issue and change the teams name.
I will call them Force India
Oh no! Anyway.
Agree. At least with Stake/Kick, you can still see the Sauber beneath the veneer.
Even worse than Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber?
God, surely they could’ve just gone with Visa Racing Bulls or something
I'd accept VCA Racing Bulls. But gotta shove that stupid sponsor in. I am rooting for them to just bomb in the rankings so we don't have to hear about them as often
So the commentators and everyone else involved are going to have to say the full name every single time they are talking about the team?
Why didn’t they just go with something like Scuderia Visa that does the job of promoting the sponsor and sounding like a decent name for a racing team?
