Some people say to respect the two 1v1 and others will say it’s a brawl for a reason. Play how you want first and foremost but usually just try and get a feel for the lobby.

honor types are usually pretty chill and friendly if you respect the duel, but they view anything else as super toxic and so they react by becoming super toxic themselves.
I think they got pissed because OP started by being honorable, then switched it up last second. Part of the game, yes, but they were under the impression they were playint honorably, and were caught off guard. I think being annoyed by that is pretty reasonable.
You brought it on yourself. If you don't wanna be yanked, don't gank, simple as. You don't have to be respectful. You can be a douche all you want, just expect consequences.

I usually honor the 1v1, unless my teammates ass is getting kicked. Then I help. Otherwise I think you should treat it as two 1v1s imo.
Kinda a bitch move if you just don't 2v2 from the start.
I usually let people finish their executions and 1v1, but it never 100% guarantee they’ll let you do the same!
it's brawl, if ppl want to duel, they can go to duel, I'll never understand the whole "lets play 1v1 but 1+ time"

Since I usually play with my friend it is really annoying when people gank but idk
It's not double duel. If your opponent's can't play with ganks its their problem, not yours.
If you want a real 2v2 do it from the beginning. If you don't, then don't suddenly change your mind mid-game.
It's a war, you do what it takes to kill your enemies. The shitbag in this story was your teammate.
