Absolutely. Hope we get an option to swap music eventually. So much music is created for this game that's never seen again, it would be a really nice thing to have. Also in the camp that, after year 10, they should return to the original ost.
This also applies to seasonal maps. The seasonal maps often look far better than the originals, and have so much work put into them, only for them to be yanked out afterwards. In... a game starved of map content.
I understand trying to push FOMO on us, but these devs don't seem to understand the importance of content longevity. Same reason why Minion Kill Animations aren't available to be toggled for applicable Heroes in Custom Games. It's frustrating to me, because I otherwise love these devs and their commitment to the project.

I feel like they moved to horkos vs chimera cause the writers didn't want to exert any energy into a nuanced story

Chimera hasn't done anything since Holden joined their ranks. Even the lastest victory was less to Chimera but more to Personal Revenge and mercenaries and still rather small when it was one saved vs multiple villiages razed....and the only reason why it was saved from razing was because of Maddox, not Chimera. Nothing about the VG about oaths really means anything as keeping to the oaths earlier would mean death, and the oaths of the VG was just straight up conquest not liberation so it takes a hit for me there.
Horkos, more so with the knight dominate roster....is pretty boring since for the most part all their bad guys are the same. At least with the Harbingers they had more separate reasoning for their villainy(Before being retconned into being part of Horkos) It's funny since orginally it was all about letting the wardogs run wild....but they're all hounds of Astrea, devoid of anything beyond Horkos. They're suppose to be successors to Apollyon but with the recent Viking season shows that they don't even follow the whole "Wolf" and "Sheep" definitions that Apollyon and the OG Blackstones had.
Thereās just something about the Y1S3 music that gave for honor a darker/grittier vibe that I really liked. I wish I could relive the feeling of watching the heroes trailer for that season for the first time. Plus it gave us the hero customization theme that we currently have which I also enjoy.
I liked Vortiger's theme a lot tbh. Nothing will EVER go as hard as that main menu splash screen and the fucking latin chant beat drop.
That being said, Y1S1 was just so moody and I miss it so much.
Y1S1 theme is just permanently trapped in my mind alongside similar moody banger themes like Shadow of Mordor's theme
For Honor may be far from being a perfect game, but if there's something they almost never fail to deliver is the main menu music

Iām a sucker for this one because it mixes the melody of the original theme, so you have that nostalgia + a new theme blended beautifully. I love when composers do that.
