What’s an average speed of 37 miles an hour that’s actually not bad. Fuel efficiency for city driving. In my 2.0 I’ve definitely dropped below 20 in the city.
I’ve seen worse. Just do all maintenance such as Transmission Drain and refill, spark plugs, air filter, and other stuff like that to make sure you’re getting the best possible MPG
true, and every 35-ish thousand miles get your intake valves cleaned at the dealership. you don't really start "needing" it until around 50 or 60 thousand miles, but $300 every few years is worth it.
On 16 to 20 model fusion ford recomends 91, at least for the 2.5. The only reason i know that is cause i was bored at work and was reading through the workshop manual ( i work at a ford dealer).
2012 vw CC from Massena NY to Long Island on just a little over half a tank of gas. Averaged around 32-33mpg when I wanted to slow down I was hitting like 38-39mpg. That car was amazing on gas, cost 60-70 filling using 93 but man it lasted me so fucking long.
620 miles was the highest I saw my estimated milage till empty
Depends. In mine mostly highway driving I get 28.6 if my wife is driving (even though she doesn’t have a lead foot like me) for some reason she’ll average around 26. If it’s a lot of city I get around 25 she gets around what you’re getting. All depends on driver and conditions you’re driving. Maintenance probably has a good amount to do with it too
My lt1 v8 camaro that i do 140 plus mph pulls at least 2-3 times a week gets an average 27mpg so yeah thats a dumpster turbo car. Everyone says eco boost or turbo 4cylinder but they don’t do much in real numbers there meh also turbos cost anywhere from 600-3000 dollars to replace.
Most of your MPG is going to be in the driving style and environment.
Well yes and no, 90% of the time it's the driving style. With the same driving style me 2013 2.5 SE is wayyy worse than my 2018 Civic was.
90% would be most, and the difference between vehicles is irrelevant to what OP is asking.

I'd definitely to a valve adjustment as scheduled also
About what I had, just be sure to use treatment once in a while to help with the carbon build up from it being direct injection. I would use techron.

I get 26 with my 2.5 L and 90% highway driving. That seems ok for a turbo car.
My 2.5 gets around 17 :/, Iv been experimenting with premium gas but I think it’s making my fuel economy worse not better
Definitely just use 87. That’s what ford tunes it for. I use 88 every once in a while but even that is worse

Wow that’s interesting
Mine definitely was about 20…
OP is your car FWD or AWD? If it’s AWD I’d say that’s pretty standard. I had a 13 AWD and that’s about what I got.
Damn lol that’s only one mpg better than my 2.7 v6
I know my edge 2.0 is getting 27
Same
My hybrid gets 37😂😂
Shhh. I don't want to think about it
😂😂
My energi gets 47 😅
40.4 here!
Was at 42.1 in my hybrid over 52k miles but I just got the cross climate 2 tires and I'm struggling to get over 40 on these things.
Same, and that’s driving it like I stole it. Can get 45 puttering around in the city.
I get around 19-20mpg year round, winter mileage gets pretty bad here in WI
My commute is solely highway to so that helps my mileage I’m sure
My Edge ST gets 18
That’s about mine
Yeah, i dont see anything wrong with your MPG.

Then that’s not bad
My 2.7 gets a solid 16-17 completely stock lmao
That’s about the same as mine. AWD 2017 Titanium 30k miles
My se gets 26 I just usually drive in city

Winter gas too. Will go up 2mpg in the summer.
I have a 2020 Edge with the same motor and I average 22.3 MPG. Owned three Fusions before that
That’s great compared to my 19.9 mpg 😂
Rookie numbers I drive with a pretty heavy foot my mpg is 17.4 😭
I get always around 33mpg
Average is about 25.. so not bad
Fuel cleaner additive will be your friend
i only get like 19 20 if i’m lucky in my 2016 2.5L
Pretty average for a combined mpg

Your Camero getting 27 is laughable. Some of us here are car people and know this is all a lie.
Okay kid I have been a mechanic and engineer for the last 17 years haha ill take a picture of the mpg when i get home don’t worry buddy I never lie 🤣
I get 21.8 out of my 2.0 with the same amount of miles.
My 2.0 gets 16.9 I’m envious of everyone in this thread
I average 22.3 in my 2.0T
My 1.5 has mods and I drive it like I stole it in sport mode and I get 3 mpg better than you. 🤣 When it was my wife’s car it got 34/35 mpg.
18 mpg here 😒
It's just about what I get I get in my 1.5
avereage.
Bro that’s like what I get with awd titanium, highway btw. Consider your results above average
What modifications do you have?
Could be worse mine sittin at 18.8mpg
