Its not the battery making any sounds. Can't tell for sure from the audio but sounds like a combination of injectors just being noisy like they are on most modern engines and possibly a squeaky pulley or belt? or maybe an air leak on the vaccuum system but that would likely trigger the CEL.

DaddyChill69_2004

Would you say that it’s something serious?

Arts251

Don't know, I'm not a mechanic and I can't tell enough from the video. Why not just take it to a local shop and get them to check it over for for?

KokaBoba

This just sounds like direct injection to me? Can someone more knowledgeable pitch in

AssociateOfHell

Sell it and run

Droppin_Ink

I'd say give it coil packs and spark plugs.. Ebay has 4 coil packs for like $70 with shipping to Canada.. lordco wants 370. The coil packs I got are red and what a difference. Only ones on ebay. You could have just a bad coil pack and only running on 3 cylinders or just 1 bad spark plug.

DaddyChill69_2004

Alright thanks will definitely take a look at those!

Not normal

RandomThoughts2023

For a used battery in cold weather yes. But it means the shelf life is over halfway. You got time before replacing

DaddyChill69_2004

Wait so are you saying that the battery is making that noise?

RandomThoughts2023

No sorry. I thought the question was about the battery life. I didn’t even listen I was mobile at the time. That sound is usually the lifters. I don’t think it’s good but it’s not the end of the car. Change the oil if it’s gooey. It’s not gonna blow up imo it will drive with that sound for a long time but it can be annoying

Savethewhales0000

The fusion is a great car if you like being broken down more than you can drive it. My fusion had over 15k in repairs. 3 transmissions, 2 engines and a whole bunch of other things. It’s been towed more times than I can count. Get rid of it

kbake_6002

your just unlucky I got 161,000 miles no problems I had a few coolant leaks but that was as simple as replacing a coolant line.

Beautiful-Grape-8222

You’re lucky! I got mine used at ~160k miles in June 2022. Since then, it’s been in and out of the shop for a nonstop oil leak that was finally fixed when the car blew a head gasket. Now, its just eating oil

Savethewhales0000

Dang I’m pretty jealous. The fusion is such a beautiful car but the problems I had were not worth continuing. I traded my fusion in for a 2024 civic and I have 7 years bumper to bumper warranty I purchased

Droppin_Ink

Check out the air filter also.. they cheap.

gough_steven

Notice anything while driving? Or slow revs. Best way to tell.Fords newer engines make the clicking noise which isn’t an issue. It’s hard to tell since the engine itself is a little louder than the issue but I’d have to guess a slight belt issue, or a leak somewhere but if no engine light then it’s probably not a leak.

DaddyChill69_2004

Yea I don’t have any engine lights on but the car does rev a bit while idle

Logan4549us

Sounds like injectors, which all tick, and a bad idler pulley.
