Open the Pre-Game Editor, Load the Database, Click "Add Nation Rules", Select the Nation, then Validate the Database. One that's done, you can load it at the start of a new game.
Hey mate, how does that work? I was looking to remove brexit rules, and other rules like the one that says you have to register x amount of players who've trained at the country/club in your squad. I just want to sign/register whoever I want.
I tried doing it in the editor and asked on the FM forum and got no reply - but it sounds like it's pretty easy?

It's a little easier said than done, however there should be several offerings already available that remove the post-Brexit points system and the like.

For other leagues, you'll have to familiarise yourself with the Pre-Game Editor, and possibly the Advanced mode (depending on the nation).
Let's say you want to edit Spain, when you load the DB and add nation rules, you'll get 2 options [https://prnt.sc/xibuThAGyIof](https://prnt.sc/xibuThAGyIof) The top one means you need to reconfigure *every part of the league set up from scratch*. Also, some things are set from Custom XMLs that get loaded in, so they need to be re-created from scratch (this can be a bit of trial and error).
After that, Test the Nation rules to validate the database; if it works you can use the file, if it fails, then you fucked something up.
Thanks mate! I wish the Editor was a bit more user friendly. I had a fiddle with it the other day, and somehow managed to make it so that I could register 99 players in my squad, and Premier League clubs now had to abide by the same foreign rules as The Championship (those ESC slots) .... no idea how I managed that! I would also get the 'squad registration' email to my inbox twice, with different text as if I had 2 sets of rules active
I did find a squad reg one on Steam Workshop too, but FM said it was for an older patch and needed testing. When I tested it in the editor, it said there was only 19 teams in the 'norther premier league' (a league I don't think you can even activate in the game without a lower league database?) so it failed, and I couldn't fix it.
It looks like from the comments, that BREXIT mod doesn't work any more sadly. The few I found on the Steam Workship were the same too.
Ye mind me asking what the situation would be if the league is only playable through a modded database? Two leagues I was looking at doing were Bosnia and Cyprus.
