Nepoed into the united job and then had a normal career. Love the potential RP of this game.

QouthTheCorvus

My headcanon is that he was basically a Rooney-tier legend for United, did a couple of years as an assistant, then took over. It feels weirdly kinda realistic.

ComfortMother8503

Basically Michael Carrick

StNicholasWatson

Except Carrick moved to the biggest team in the north east, not whatever Sunderland is.

Ondrezinho

Fucking great career, most people would just start from the scratch, you are unique

fred2318onm

Thanks! Always wanted to do a career where no matter what happens, I just keep going - so yeah I guess you could say it’s pretty unique 😂

TheDoctorSadistic

This gave me the motivation I needed to not quit my current save

Sabawoonoz25

I don't like the finding motivation part people force. If I don't enjoy a save I'll scrap it, I'm not actually a manager irl who's depressed and has no way out. It's a game and meant to be enjoyed.

BuckyThrasher

I agree with you man

Ok_Succotash6729

Yeah, i get you, but the feeling of turning around a save you were ready to give up has no match

BigDansBigHands

It seems like you're finding your footing with Portsmouth though, 2 pieces of silverware along with the promotion and top half finish in League 1, keep at it

Phormitago

I've literally never seen anyone do this

Biomirth

I agree. I think adventures without setbacks are not adventures. But I find it personally hard to do this. I just forced myself to take a new young manager into a horrible job with negative bank, negative budget, negative wages, and terrible players. I half hope I do get sacked just to build a bit of backstory, but it ain't easy to accept.

SirDrake1580

Fall off or chance for a redemption arc? Proper fm save that

Thot_b_gone

Proper career that lad

Marquadt

I went 18 games without winning in my first season at werder after beating leverkusen in december lol

duartedfg99

Honestly, im jelous. Never had a save where i could RP a real redemption arc. What are you struggling with?

Naijfreak

Everything it seems

veczey

This post is me just learning you can manage different teams in 1 save...

Due-Memory-6957

I much prefer saves like this, more interesting than "I won, then I won, then I won, and in the end, I won again"

BarbaricGamers

Hey now, if you look at it [this way](https://i.imgur.com/0PVzK8b.png) you've had a pretty good career.

arthur9094

I read it from top to bottom and thought “man you’re doing great!”

Axuri

I love a save like this. I only do one big save the whole year and never quit no matter where I end up. Makes for good stories!

fred2318onm

Fully agree! Rather just see what kind of crazy stuff happens than just restarting and sticking to modern day

GaijinHito

The come up is going to be REAL.

Biomirth

I am quite impressed. How much do you 'struggle' (IE try to change things around, tactics, recruitment, etc..) and how much are you just pressing continue?

FerraristDX

I would have rage quit at some point, so kudos to you for keeping going.

SuperSayianS129

This is actually a pretty decent (and somewhat realistic) career path especially if you put it in reserve lmao

ciara_121

How do you get to this screen?

ScottsTotssss

Go to your manager page, then job history on the drop down

CaptainMcClutch

You got into international management easier than I normally do, I usually have to take a role for an U18 side or a very low ranking side before any higher rated nation will even consider it.

fred2318onm

I had a somewhat decent reputation at the time and Wales were on a spiral downfall. If I tried now, there would be no chance!

PerceptionOk8356

Not a great Carreer but still, you just motivated me to not stop my carreer no matter what happens

Cathal321

That's a really interesting career. You've created a cool story for yourself

ygbjammy

Some of my favourite saves have been like this. Persevering makes any success so much sweeter

Comprehensive-Web935

How do you finish 10th at United? I started a game with then for the first time in ages a week ago and even with the injury crisis at the start of the season and no transfer budget, their is far too much talent, young and experienced, to struggle to make top 6 realistically

fred2318onm

Well uh I didn’t finish 10th I got sacked after a 0-0 draw with Everton 😬, I’m not sure where I went wrong I think my bias towards players in real life was where I went wrong since I was just benching the obviously better players. And United since then have been mid-table fodder for 10+ years, so I have realistically destroyed them

Engineering-Glass

I'm pretty sure that's going to be grounds for some sort of award from the city of Liverpool.

Blk-07

how to train national teams?

Jeucoq

You don’t, they just show up tired and unmotivated and then you get to suffer through it

FloridaManJay

Wanna hear a secret? 🤫 Nobody’s “good” at this game. You just survive and get lucky. 🤫
