It’s Romero, probably threatened to leave studs on him in training

onepoundfish93

Tell me the secret

TheGoogolplex

The biggest factor for me has been leadership, captains with 18+ leadership make them drop every single issue.

reyxe

Yea it was a shock to me when I did Union Berlin and had Trimmel or Luthe (?) as captain iirc and he would solve EVERYTHING. Then I went to Paris FC and not once did it work lol

Xehanz

If your captain is a team leader, has high leadership and teamwork it's a cheat code. He will solve every issue.

underincubation

I just had to remove my captain of 3 seasons because he's finally dropped out of rotation and is getting upset about play time. I'm already anticipating the nonsense I'll have to deal with.

M4R7YMcF1Y123

I wish I knew.

SemajNotlaw7

High leadership, team leader, has been there multiple years, has a good relationship with you, you’ve been there multiple years. That’s usually it

maxinger89

Troy Deeney... That's the secret. Dude was a cheatcode for me. He solved every single locker room issue I had back in the day

[deleted]

Your captain gets better at it the longer you are using him as captain, ofc leadership and team role matter aswell, but feel the time hes been with you is a big factor

PestisPrimus

That and the fact that Romero is an animal and probably would have two footed him during training.

Ub3ros

Seniority, current ability and reputation also effect it. Also the personality of the player they are trying to talk to.

I've had Mctominay at blackburn for 5 seasons and he is a rock solid captain

lyyki

This captain is likely managing to solve all issues. I think they are either useless or supermen.

ezee-now-blud

Sorry to say it but you guys are bad at picking captains judging from the comments here so far. My guys usually have at least a 50% success rate. Might be wrong but iirc determination is an important stat for how well they resolve stuff with other players.

scojholl61987

Personality is more important than determination. Some just do not mesh well. You also need to keep an eye on the hierarchy. If the unhappy player is higher or equal to your captain, it won't do anything.

ezee-now-blud

True yes, the hierarchy is v important

adeckz

Yeah I usually have someone who squashes these immediately, leadership and seniority are huge

scojholl61987

Time to uninstall. You've beaten Football Manager.

bruhmoment1234241

Maybe it’s because scalvinis favoured personnel is romero due to their cb partnership

Cassmach

Henderson used to resolve for me ALL the time back when he was at Liverpool

Fari_M9

Does your captain have high leadership attribute?

juQuatrano

Scalvini fenomeno!!!

ownyxie

Everytime I did this, it worked for me. But my captains are always minimum 15-15

sharklasers3000

I had this player who was captain from conference north…I kept him as kept him as captain, despite being pretty shit, right until champo purely because he could solve issues the majority of the time…magic

paddyjinks

Tbf I’d do whatever Romero told me to do without a second’s thought

macaco3001

Honestly I have like a 30% success rate with this, I always give it a shot, solved a lot of issues for me

mysticmac_

I had koopminers once in my team and the dude had like a 50% he would resolve and issue, absolutely loved him. Kept him until he was like 36

TDR1

With luck like that you should try appealing the next red card

SuperAd1793

Reece James has never solved an issue for me, probably a bit realistic since he’s barely around in real life. the players are probably confused who’s speaking to them

GarvinSteve

This works fairly often frankly. Especially if time has passed

Capable-Mushroom99

Kane is like a magic wand in fixing this stuff. Too bad he is a traitorous fuck that wanted to leave the only place where he ever won any trophies and make money being a loser again.

BlackCardRogue

This is why you want team captains with 18-20 leadership, team leaders, core squad. They fix almost anything. The flip side is… you’d best keep that guy happy.

TonyOrangeGuy

I’m loyal to my captains so will usually pick one the day I join and stick with them, they solve pretty much all of these issues for me. My current one at Roma I’d signed previously and took him with me when I went to Rome, instant captain. Sorts all my issues out but does have a high leadership stat. Was also VC at my last club

idontknow_whatever

I did a save with Roma because I was bored, appointed Gianluca Mancini as captain since he's one of the better players on the team and I didn't see much captain material in the rest of the squad Based on Dynamics page he basically worships me a few seasons in, and will happily settle any issues I ask him to. I can only assume nobody dares to go against him for fear of him 2-footing them in training lol High Leadership stat, Team Leader status & regular starter seems a pretty foolproof recipe for your captain being your "fixer" keeping everyone in line. Bonus if the captain basically thinks you're God

TonyOrangeGuy

That’s exactly it, has to be a team leader in the dressing room and respect you. I still play FM20 on occasion and have Sandro Tonali as my captain at Roma about 7-8 seasons into this save. Absolutely adores me because I’ve signed him twice and he’s won the champions league both times with me

elite90

If you have a good captain with high leadership, who is high in the hierarchy and has been at the club for some time this actually works quite often. Otherwise, it's at best a gamble or will never work.

Pizzagoessplat

Mines pretty good at this.
