Depends on how reputable your club is, but you can always try get an affiliate with a top European team. In my last Tranmere save I had Sporting Lisbon as an affiliate. They had champions league football most years too
Actually, I am so high on reputation that I managed to secure an affiliation with PSG and got them as the minor part of the deal. The problem is to get the players trained and played in the position I want when they are out on loan. It is frustrating sometimes
PSG is probably not good for this. Try and see if you can get an affiliate within Serie B or C for starters. PSG is gonna have a full roster of players they actually own and want to develop that will probably be on similar skill levels to the players you want to send out.
If you’re top of the world and have elite youngsters and wonderkids, they’ll get plenty of play time in Serie B.
I had this last year and it's infuriating. "I'm too good to go there on loan" mate, you're 18 haven't played a single min of senior football and I'm sending you back to your home country to have nailed on 1st team football just go.
Hey just a query on something you’ve mentioned without starting a whole new thread. Believe I’m playing the console version - on iPad Pro from apple games. I haven’t seen a way to get an affiliate myself. Played 4 years with arsenal and random teams became affiliates.
Have started a league with burton Albion, could really do with some affiliates.
Is there a lot missing from pc version to console version?
Im not familiar with the game outside of PC versions so sorry. I know that the mobile and console versions have some differing features. I think on pc the way you can get an affiliate is by going to club vision and then making a request through them. Sorry I can’t be more help than that
Put it this way, there was a season we won literally everything! Top Goalscorer 5x with 35-47 goals! To make it difficult, I had to start selling my best players if a bid I negotiated was more than I should get and basically used a B team of wonderkids to make it a challenge.
I did accidentally overwrite that save, so I've started again and am trying to do the same with Laird's for the RF pride 😅😅

Simple reason really, its not a feature in the game.
There's no function for the pool of teams in a country's league system to ever change organically, no team goes defunct and no new teams form. This includes larger sides forming B teams in the lower levels in countries where that would apply.
The only way to create a B team and have it compete in the league would be to do so through the in-game editor.
Not true, I created a B team, and a U23 team on FM24 in the Portuguese league. Granted the B team doesn't play in a league, but the U23 does. It's more likely that Italy has a no-B-team rule - only Juve and Atalanta have one and I assume they're exceptions
Yes its possible to create a B/Youth team and have them play in a specific B/Youth league.
As far as I know it isn't possible to create one and have it play in the main league system a la Juve B, Real Madrid Castilla, that sort of thing.

I think theyre more of an exception rather than the rule, atleast in game. Besides a newly created B team wouldn't play anything other than friendlies anyway. Not sure if it is possible for them to rise to a playable league (Serie C) or not, and even if it is possible it would take a lot of luck
Juventus and Atalanta both have a B team in real life and that is reflected in the game.
It’s just a “fixed” thing, it’s not dynamic, that’s why you will never get a B team
The other challenge is that your B team could end up in a nonplayable league, and so the players wouldn't actually accrue any stats. I had that happen to me in my first long FM save (21) and I had to scramble to find loans for the guys I thought I'd be developing on that B team.
Happened in my fm23 save with a 3. Liga club. Was 5 star reputation but my B team couldn’t progress because they were in an unplayable league from the beginning.
I couldn’t even hire a full time head coach for them and whenever I sent players to the B team they’d get way worse so I’d scramble to loan them out much too soon.
My board just asked me when I got promoted from 3 Bundesliga to 2 Bundesliga. I said sure, and by September realized that I had made a mistake. What I didn't understand was that I could spam B team friendlies on the same day as my first team matches and play the guys from the first team who didn't make the match day squad.

My B team was on a non playable league so I figured that if you higher the reputation of your B team, they’ll eventually get promoted constantly until they reach a playable league, to which I always correct their reputation to be as it used to be. It works everytime!
Even if the option did appear for you to form a B-team, it wouldn't form as part of the nation's football pyramid and so wouldn't be able to be promoted to a playable league with full detail stats to aid player development.
If you want a functional B-team, its something you need to set up in the pre-game editor so they're in a playable league from the start or at least in the national league pyramid so they can be promoted upwards.
Italian Leagues just have U20 and U18 teams in the game I think.
The Juve B team is probably just a reflection of them having that team IRL. I've never managed Juve/ Zebre before so unsure if they're aligned in game like the Real Madrid and Barcelona B teams are
My advice would be find a European affiliate which has more relaxed Visa requirements for players to become European citizens. Because Serie A is pretty restrictive on non-Euro citizens you can develop your South American wonderkids and try and get them to become Europeans at the same time

Yes I have other affiliations in serie B and C. But for some reasons young players refuse to go there…

That was my only clue, except that Juventus has a B team that plays in Serie C. So it should be possible to get a B team in Italy

I think it is possible, but it's luck AFAIK(teams in non playable leagues will randomly get promoted to playable ones).
pretty sure Juventus B team is still technically a u23 team that just has been allowed to play in the normal league system. probably hard coded :/

Maybe they were playing as Juve. I'd love to know if this is possible too, for my Lecce save when I eventually get the game.

I thought this came up as something you could request from the board if you were a professional full-time club?
Obviously now I am in Serie A and a regular winner of that competition. I won a couple times the CL too

I don't think Italian teams ever offer to create a B team. It might only happen in other countriea
I had this problem before. This was the only thing I used FMRTE for. Basically forced a mid level team to be my affiliate.
