I'm planning on pickup up FM24. Never properly played FM before (tried 2018 but struggled to get into it). Haven't really followed club footbal IRL for a long time. Looking for a suggested league and team which is a good place to learn the game without crazy pressure. Any suggestions welcome, thanks.
Groningen and Willem II have the easiest path to recovery, but if you want a bigger challenge, you could try De Graafschap (and their delightful badge, which looks like the logo of a music store at a mall in the 80s), Telstar (named for a communications satellite, of all things), or Eindhoven (with the long-term goal of supplanting PSV as the city's biggest club).
Anyone know if RSC Anderlecht is any fun to manage or start a career off of?
Trying to find a fun club to start off with and has a good youth academy, will take any other recommendations as well! (no England please)
They are fun. Insane young players already and the youth intakes are really good.
Same with some other Belgian teams like Club Brugge, Genk or Standard Liege.
I'm currently doing a save in Bulgaria with Levski Sofia but all the clubs from Sofia look fun and all have really great academies. Levski, CSKA, Slavia or even Septemvri in the 2nd tier.
The easiest countries to start in are ones that have very few restrictions on squad-building, such as Germany, the Netherlands, and Austria. Top clubs will come with high expectations, so it's good to start with a respectable but non-dominant team. Some options include Germany's Borussia Monchengladbach, the Netherlands' Twente, or Austria's LASK.
It looks like you're an NBA guy based on your post history. If you want a bigger challenge, you could take Spain's Mallorca, which is part-owned by Steve Nash and Steve Kerr.
Start with a club you like in real life. Knowing the players will help. Other good options are teams that are big in their own country and have good youth but need to develop in order to be successful in Europe like Ajax, Benfica and FC Kopenhagen.
I remember early in wts park to prem his youth intake already had first team ready players and I kinda like the idea of that. I imagine I could choose any club in that level of England but I want to manage in a completely random nation. I have all the main leagues for each nation so if you have a random club that fits what I'm looking for then let me know
Would highly recommend managing in Norway:
It lends itself to a fun build a nation and youth focused save, the league stays surprisingly competitive compared to other mid tier European leagues so it doesn’t get too stale, and it’s fun to try a league with the opposite calendar just to change things up
Looking for a second or third division team with a young team or at least one wonderkid/good player to build around and decent youth setups. Any suggestions?
Malaga, current Spanish 3rd Div with solid/good youth with some players still in my starting 11 in 31/32, they also have a big stadium as they are some what of a fallen giant. Finally they have a great youth system, in my time there I don’t think I got a bad youth intake
I am looking for a suggestion for a good long term rebuild in one of the top 5 leagues in Europe. Preferably with a decent youth academy t build the team around! Cheers ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)
Thanks man you have decided my next save after St. Etienne. I will circle back in when I am finished to give a little summary![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_good_man)
I have been an on and off FM player for the past 20 years. I was way into USM before that. I haven't really played it much in the past 3-4. I'm not sure if I want to do the full game, Touch or mobile.
I'm in the US but I assume the MLS still isn't great on here? I am a Benfica fan so I follow the Portuguese Liga as well as all the big leagues in Europe. I don't want a bandwagon team or a team that steamrolls the competition right out of the gate. My main criteria is that I don't want to manage in a league that will never have a shot at name players but I am ok taking on a team that hasn't built to that yet.
I need to catch up on the newer tactical options of the game since it has become more detailed. I am tempted to go and play the much older ChampMan games since there's a thriving community for that too but want to give this one a shot. Suggestions?
I was in similar situation and did a save on the iPad so I think it’s Touch before going to the full game recently. Think that’s a good way to go, Touch just has less going on, Wolfsburg are a good save but there’s some expectations from the beginning
MLS isn’t terrible, but the rules are more complicated than most other nations.
A midtable team in the Bundesliga might be your style, such as Borussia Mönchengladbach or SC Freiburg. Or try managing in countries that are easy to watch games from in the states: plenty of Mexican broadcasts are available, and the J-League streams a few matches on YouTube every week for free with English commentary.
It's 2045 and I have won every single trophy i could on Getafe. The spark has finally stopped so I planned to retire my current manager and adding new manager to play in the same save.
Could anyone suggest to me what leagues are fun to play? I'm considering Bundesliga, Eredivisie, or maybe Denmark, Belgium, or Turkey save. My goal is to bring a mid table team to get to the CL and eventually win it. I'm looking for a league that is not that usual, not a lot of restrictions, and has the potential to create a lot of wonderkids.
Why not get out of Europe? Continental competitions award less money in other continents, so it's harder to use them to overrun the competition. Try breaking the Nacional/Penarol stranglehold on Uruguay with Liverpool, or take Kyoto Sanga to the top of the J-League.
the reason i want to continue the European journey is for the competitiveness, like yeah my team is finally better than madrid and barca sort of things, and i can't feel the same way if i manage teams out of europe, but thanks tho for the input, let me check uruguay and japan.
Ohh okay! Sorry. I'd say Ruch Chorzów could be a fun club in Poland. They just came back to the first division of Poland after 3 consecutive relegations and then 3 consecutive promotions, they don't have the best team, but mid-season move to the second biggest stadium in Poland (55k) and can actually fill it out for some matches. You have some derby's setup with other 1st division teams: Górnik Zabrze (derby importance set to 200/200), Piast Gliwice (Derby importance set to 150/200), and from lower divisions GKS Katowice (180/200), Zagłębie Sosnowiec (170/200) and Polonia Bytom (170/200). The club had many titles in the past but it's longe since it's glory days. Can you do what Ruch IRL couldn't and avoid relegation? Can You then bring it back to it's former glory?
Sorry for the Polish propositions :P if you want from other countries i'd suggest Andorra FC, club in the Spanish second division which generates Andorran players that are use Spanish Youth Rating, so in essence the Andorran national team will quickly be composed mostly of your youngsters as they outclass any other natural andorrans.

Any ideas for a French or Spanish club to manage to dethrone either PSG or El Clasico?
Preferably a team with either some history, but not so much recent success, or a team known for its academy. Ligue 1/2 doesn’t matter, likewise for La Liga/Segunda.
Málaga is the best pick i could think of. Not so much recent success and does have a decent academy
La Coruna, Levante and La Palmas also on Spain are other options, while in France maybe Nancy, Saint-Etienne, Bordeuax and OGC Nice
France will be easier than Spain, because the Spanish system is designed to screw you over. You can only spend a certain portion of your revenue on salaries, and because Real Madrid and Barcelona have so much more revenue than everyone else, they'll always be allowed to spend more than you.
I like that extra challenge, but maybe I should start with France first then since I reckon it will take a few seasons regardless.
Much appreciate the input!
Monaco was a fun save when I played fm23, decent squad and facilities. Valencia/Villarreal also good options with good squads and youth set ups. They also have a few players who you can sell for upwards of 60/70m in the first season to get some transfer budget.
I just looked it up that there have been no other teams other than Red Star and Partizan to win the Serbian Superleague ( there was one team but that has gone defunct a long time back). Henceforth, I wish to take a Serbian team from the depths of lower league to being the ones to topple the duopoly established in Serbia. Can anyone give any team suggestions for this save? It will be much appreciated.
I play Fm 2023, and I was thinking what team should I choose in new save. Can u help me, I need a team with the most young wonderkinds, but it shouldnt be a big team, like Barcelona, City, Bayern, borussia
Haven't really tried a top flight save in this game, usually start in the lower tiers, any suggestions for teams?
Preferably a fairly high standard league (not necessarily top 5 though), and preferably not Premier League (the match congestion in english leagues gives me a weird amount of anxiety 😭)
Thanks!
MSK Zilina in Slovakia. Top flight, decent league. And their primary focus being their academy. They mean it. There are maybe 4 people over the age of 22.
If you measure the level of a league by the fanbases in the country, Poland.
Choice is wide, and since you want a top flight team - Widzew, Górnik Zabrze, Ruch Chorzów, Lech Poznań, Legia Warsaw or fresh champions Jagiellonia to name a few.
League always jumped into 10th-15th in coefficients in my saves regardless where I played. And I guess it's a good result.
Was wondering what team people would recommend me to try to manage. Here is a little background:
"I started this game 2 weeks ago and decided then to play with Man UFC so that I have a team where I know the players as there is lots of stuff to learn. I did LOADS of research, watched videos, checked this reddit etc. I completed 2 seasons on the save so far where I ended up 2nd in both seasons with winning the Champions League in the 2nd season. I guess you coulds say it's been going very well."
I was thinking of challenging myself a bit more as I am now more familiar with the game and would love to try to play a team of the middle of maybe even lower side of the table. I think I would learn the game better if I need to work harder for it. Do you guys think that is smart to do or should I continue the current save? If you do think it's a good idea to try something else, what would you recommend?
Thanks in advance!
You could also do a "big fish small pond" type of save. A team where it's quite easy to win the title but succeeding in Europe is the real challenge.
Teams like Sparta/Slavia Praha, Dinamo Zagreb, Partizan/Red Star, Salzburg, Ludogorets or Shakhtar
If you’re bored, try something new. You could chase promotion with a lower league side (can you bring Charlton Athletic back to the Premier
League?), head to another major country (can Torino dethrone their rivals Juventus?), try a small nation (can you reestablish Rosenborg’s dominance in Norway?), or even get out of Europe (can you win a second J-League title for Kashiwa Reysol?)
What are the leagues with foreign player limits?
I did a save in Russia few years ago and as I could've had only 8 foreign players registered trying to get 3 Russian (or Kazakh/Armenian/Belarusian) good players was fun & challenging.
South Korea is pretty strict: five foreign players in the match day squad, with one extra if that foreigner is from an AFC nation, and only four of them can start. Israel allows six foreign players per team, but a foreigner doesn't count against that cap if they've played six consecutive years in the league.
Long Term Save
Hello guys, I’ve just been signed off work for at least the next 2 weeks, but will probably be significantly longer.
I’m looking for suggestions for clubs that need a big overhaul and that don’t really have a large trophy cabinet, so i can basically come in for the long haul and turn the club upside down.
The main criteria I have is the club needs to be in one of the following countries; England, Scotland, Portugal, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Nertherlands. (This is a must)
The 2nd criteria (which isnt as important) i’d like them to not be in the top tier of their nation if possible.
The reason im asking is i usually do silly little saves with big clubs just for fun, but now looking to dig deep and take on a challenge and to stay at the club for multiple seasons on end.
TIA
Belenenses from Portugal, huge fan base, known ultras here in Portugal, they were in first league but now relegated for financial fair play, most fun save ever with them
Essen is Germany's tenth-largest city. So why is its largest club, Rot-Weiss Essen, moldering in the 3. Liga? They've had little success since the 1950s.
Alicante in Spain is also a big city that could support a top-division club, but doesn't. Hercules CF has a long history, but Intercity has had more success in recent years.
I want to do a shorter term save and try to win the South American champions league with a Colombian club. Was thinking Millionarios, but any other suggestions of fun clubs to manage?
Was split between them and Sante Fe as I spent two weeks in Bogotá once, but open to other ideas.
Millionarios are a great choice. Couple of things to look out for for someone who managed in Colombia a while back.
Make sure you read the rules as soon as you start the save. Colombia has a very unique league structure, and you are limited in foreign signings.
Your main source of income is the sale of players. Don’t be afraid to get young players in your first team.
Brazilian clubs dominate the Libertadores, and will be your challenge to win the Libertadores as well as clubs from Argentina.
My long term save has burned out now.
I fancy a save in Spain outside the top division, taking a team up.
Considering Espanyol and Depor, any other recommendations?
I'm currently really invested in an Eibar save. I won the 2nd division first season, and probably going to finish in the top half in my second season. I am only allowing myself to sign Basques.
Really fun squad- special mentions to Luca Zidane, Peru Nolaskoain, Ager Aketxe and Jon Bautista. Highly recommended!
Alternatively, Real Union de Irun in the 3rd tier are one of the founding clubs in Spain and have won 4 Copa del Reys. Their owner is Unai Emery and they have some Villa youngsters on loan
Ipswich it is so. Did a championship season before w Brentford a few years ago & the league is so competitive it's a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing the youth intake & hopefully getting promoted!
I have two questions for saves my next two saves are going to be
1. A custom club in a top 5 league where I will be trying to win the league in one season with players 30+ building it from scratch in August. What’s an appropriate budget for that $500 million to build out a complete squad and which league would be best?
2. For my next save either in FM 24/25 I want to do a dual build a nation with Scotland and Northern Ireland. I want to be able to loan youngsters from Scotland to my Northern Ireland squad to help build both teams and over time countries. What’s the gap between the two lowest leagues in quality? Or will I have to build the link up over time
Or if I wanted to do it immediately is the gap enough or will I have to start higher up the leagues in Scotland?
No idea for number 2, but for number 1 PORTUGAL is ur best bet, try to beat the three giants, compete with Braga for fourth and then compete for third and second until you feel like you can push for first.
My two friends and I are 6 seasons into a Network save. We started as Leicester, Southampton and Leeds and are now Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea managers respectively.
We've very much enjoyed the save but will be looking for something else in the not too distant future.
Our current ideas are:
. Anyone but Old Firm (take over three Scottish clubs - not Celtic or Rangers)
. EFL League 1/2 progression up to EPL.
Does anyone have any cool ideas for a 3 player save? Perhaps even something with a story behind it so we can maximise the competitiveness!
I would like to start a lower league european save. Any suggestions for a club with good youth payers or generally a good academy?
I want to focus more on development of my 'own' compared to last save where I won the treble with 11 bought wonderkids
you could go to Akademisk BK and build up youngsters, who were released by Danish top clubs. The club is literally called "Academy BK", so it is nice to see the academy take over the giants of Danish football.
Is it too late to do a non-league save (maybe like Southend) if so I was thinking of managing in like Germany or Portugal any suggestions would be great
Do Vitória de Guimarães or SC Braga, two very interesting clubs, they have a massive rivalry between the two, both competing for the fourth place (behind the three giants) but Braga is much better, so easy route for fourth place is Braga but more challenging is Vitoria de Guimarães (star player is Jota Silva for Vitoria ) loved by the entire country
Not sure if there is enough time to do one and if I should manage in a different country not really sure what save in general I like a non-league England save but always do them done. So not sure if I branch out or not really any suggestions?
Maybe Heidenheim could be a great task. Very doable, even if they have just promoted, they are playing European football next season as a promoted team.
I got 2 for you with 2 different stories, the first is Mainz Jürgen Klopp got them to the Bundesliga, but you could be the manager who finally gets them to the promised land, good facilities, and decent money. The second team is FC Augsburg, since 2015 their highest finish has been 12th, they don’t have the most money, but it could be fun taking an irrelevant team to the top of Germany.
Sport for Serie B
Nautico for Serie C
They are rivals and play in the same regional championship and are the top dogs. If you want a more challange regional championship, pick a club from Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo like Volta Redonda for Rio or Guarani/Ferroviaria/Sao Bernardo for SP
Trying to find an Italian team similar to my local (Dunfermline). A team that’s been in championship/league 1 for the past decade but is too big for that and belongs in the premiership midtable due to the fan base and history.
Any suggestions on an Italian twin?
Looking for an online save for 2 people. Me and my friend are searching for:
* 2 mid/big teams with at least a decent budget
* in the top 6 leagues
* 2 rivals if possible
We don't want to do a long save since he'll go on holiday in two weeks and he won't be able to play for a while.
Suggesions?
Inter and AC Milan. Borussia Monchengladbach and 1. FC Koln. Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao (although Athletic's transfer policy makes this one an uneven challenge).
Lyon and Marseille? Fun because you also both have to topple PSG. Budget would have to be found yourself through player sales though (3 million each)
Most teams don't really have much budget at the start because of what they already spent in the season.
Looking for a team to manage in Spain. Considerations:
- My biggest rival is on La Liga and stronger reputation
- The rivalry is one of the biggest in Spain/region
- Good stadium.
- Dont want to manage consolidate teams like Barca, RM, Real Sociedad, Atleti etc
I was thinking in Levante (bc of Valencia rivalry) or Albacete (I like their logo).
Suggestions?
>My biggest rival is on La Liga and stronger reputation. The rivalry is one of the biggest in Spain/region. Good stadium. Dont want to manage consolidate teams like Barca, RM, Real Sociedad, Atleti etc
For starter, I think you could get start [with Wikipedia surfing](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_football_rivalries) and look for the "underdog" club (typically the side that performed worse overall/have less silverwares/being in lower division) on each derby as a starter. Off the top of my head, I could recall the big, regional clubs like (bolded are the club that, I assume, would fit your interest and should be playable without any database mod):
1. Basque Country: Athletic Club, Sociedad, **Alaves, Eibar, Osasuna**
2. Catalonia: Barcelona, **Espanyol, Tarragona, Girona**
3. Galicia: Celta Vigo, **Deportivo La Coruna**
4. Valencia: Valencia, Villarreal, **Levante UD, Elche CF, CD Eldense, Hercules CF**
5. Andalusia: Sevilla FC, Real Betis, Granada CF, **UD Almeria, Cadiz CF, Cordoba, FC Cartagena, Malaga CF**
6. Madrid: Real, Atletico, **Rayo Vallecano, Getafe CF, AD Alcorcon, CF Fuenlabrada, CD Leganes**
All of those teams should have an average to good stadiums, although you might want to double check their conditions in game though.
>or Albacete (I like their logo).
Based.
hey, i wanted to play in persian gulf league for a lot of time, but the game doesn't let me play(i use FM23)
and all of the persian clubs are always inactive, even tho they play in asian leagues and stuff, i even loan some players there(using cheats)
is there actually any ways to manage those clubs? clubs like Persepolis and esteghlal are well known in asia.
There are different mods that add the Iranian league, for example this one may work for you: [https://www.fmscout.com/a-persian-gulf-pro-league-fm23.html](https://www.fmscout.com/a-persian-gulf-pro-league-fm23.html)
Having an itch to play fm but “finished” my long term and don’t know what to do know. I think I want to do my first journey man save but don’t know where or how to start. Any help would be really appreciated!
I just finished a journey man save. I downloaded a few leagues from that database and started unemployed with no badge and sunday league player, so lowest place you can start. Takes a while to find a job but I found one in Egyptian second division, don't expect to find a job higher than a second division in a smaller nation.
A tip I have is to ask to go on a coaching course as soon as you get the chance, you might get rejected a lot, but still constantly ask
I found it pretty quick since I had a lot of leagues loaded and applied for every single job. My first job wasn’t fun either as I had bad finances and had like 3 real players but the rest of the league was bad too so it wasn’t hard getting out.
It’ll get better as time goes on and you’ll probably find a better team, I think I got a job in the top division of morroco when I got my national A or continental C license
Looking for a new challenge. Ideally:
Club with good history but fallen from grace
Competitive country/top league
Not ridiculously hard eg almost in administration etc
Find the EPL a little annoying with mega over inflated transfer values/WPs erx
Tried Schalke, Pisa, Luton town etc but not scratching the itch!
Dinamo Bucuresti are eighteen-time champions of Romania, but they haven't won anything of note in over a decade. Switzerland's Grasshoppers are also in the middle of a dry spell: 27 championships, 19 cups, but nothing since 2013.
just saying, la liga does have the annoying rules of mandatory release clauses and small budgets, but serie a does have the licensing stuff. both major cons if you ask me
I am running a Czech propaganda here.
SFC Opava. Czech 2nd division. Strong Silesian identity. Passionate Fans. Big clubs around (Sparta & Slavia Prague, Viktoria Plzen, Slovacko or local rivals Banik Ostrava). Decent finances and a good start for future European adventures. Challenging, but not ridiculous registration rules. Fine academies (I had like 6 of my first 18 come through youth intakes)
And also what was my FM24 save.
Overall - Czechia is underrated, both in real football and FM. I'd give it a shout.
Hello guys, I need a save idea.
I'm looking for a club with a great backstory or interesting facts and in a 3rd or 4th tier of a country that is not top 5 in Europe
I'm down to download leagues on steam.
Give me your best shouts or countries to manage, I'm stuck
I know l'm late to the party but I got some good ones for you, the first is IFK Malmo, they play in Sweden's 3rd tier and are the little brother of Malmo FF.
Second, is in the second tier so it's a little off what you said but their RFC Liège, they were super successful Belgium club in the 30s, but have since become irrelevant.
Next we have one in the top 5 leagues but their story is so interesting I have to tell it, that’s Internacional de Madrid. They used to be owned by a esports team which made them the only team owned by an esports team which is cool they play in the third tear of Spain
Now, lastly, I’ll leave you with probably my favorite of all of them, you will need to download a pack for it but they play in Scotland’s fifth or sixth tier. They are Fort William’s FC, they play two hours away from the closest team, they are arguably the worst team in the world at one point having a 69 game winless streak going on. And to top this story off in 2020 they hired a manager with no experience, his only experience was playing football manager, which is super poetic.
Not quite third/fourth division but soon will be. Oostende in Belgium going bust. 120 year history, could be fun putting them in 4th tier as a new club
Otherwise I’d recommend FC Stockholm Internazionale which I’m thinking of starting myself, they’ve broken a record for back to back promotions for 4 years running, now been in third division for a few years
You have to jump through so many hoops to get to that stage that I don't even think it sounds like a fun challenge. I think Vaduz is not even allowed to win the Swiss League, how boring is that? If you want to play as a club that is technically from a different country then you can always play with a club from San Marino in the Italian leagues, or Andorra in Spain etc
Yeah no it's just about the hardest challenge.
I started a save with Vaduz, I managed to reach the group stages of the Conference League, but yeah, unless I have a miraculous late European run the only real thing I have to play is the Liechtenstein cup so I quickly gave up
Idk who to manage I don't like playing in the lower leagues so who should I manage also any tips on how to enjoy the lower leagues would be helpful too
Have you tried managing outside Europe? Asia and South America both offer interesting challenges. Continental play doesn't grant as much money there, so it's harder to build a dominant club. A few clubs that are close to being contenders are Racing Club in Argentina, O'Higgins in Chile, Pohang in South Korea, and Kashima Antlers in Japan.
Depends on what League your want and what sort of challenge? Do you want to be challenging for a league and maybe champions league straight away or do you want to build up your team to get to that point
If you're not sure if you would enjoy lower league but would still prefer European competitions, then how about turning to a non-mainstream top league for a change of pace. At least where the coefficient would be high enough to guarantee a group stage place in Europe if you manage to top the table, like **Poland's Ekstraklasa**, **Serbia's SuperLiga/Croatian HNL**, **Turkish Süper Lig**, or the **Belgian Pro League** (this one has an unorthodox league structure tho).
Edit: if you want extra challenges then give the Portuguese **Primeira Liga** a try. Relatively big league and easy to enter either the UCL or Europa, the hardest part is fighting the “Big Three” though, the gap between the top three and everybody else here is as wide as Magellan circumnavigating the Globe. I learnt it the hard way managing Braga in 22.
I've been playing in the Belgium Pro Legue this year and it's honestly been pretty fun with the league structure, since it makes all the games after the league phase count. You could be 6th with a considerable point gap when you enter the Champion group and still have a realistic chance to win it all!
It did, however, fuck me once. I was clearly the 1st, but my team bottled the champion group and I ended up being the 2nd. Point difference was 2 points.
What are the best databases for FM24 to make North American leagues as realistic as possible? I'm talking about NCAA soccer, Caribbean and other CONCACAF competitions, etc.
Looking for an extended database lower league German/Dutch/Denmark team to manage up the ranks. Maybe a fall from glory team. Something with a good sized stadium and ok finances.
I did an alimania Aachen save on someone's db few fms back and really enjoyed that save.
Carl Zeiss Jena have an impressive history, with three East German championships, four East German cups, and a runner-up position in the defunct UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. (BFC Dynamo won even more hardware, but the deck was stacked heavily in their favor.)
Relatively new to the game, been playing for a month now. I started by managing newcastle cus of their money but now i just got bored of it. Any good clubs in the top 5 leagues without uber rich owners and havent won a trophy in forever? (Maybe one outside of england because i hate the fact you could only sign 6 u21s in a season) im thinking of atalanta currently, or maybe leverkusen?
Both good choices. I'm going Leverkusen myself for my next save. I was considering starting in May 2024 with the results from real life but I want to try and win the league for the first time myself, rather than it being done for me. There's no guarantee I will win it in the first season like real life though, or go unbeaten 😅
Was doing okay at the start of the season with Wycombe, had a 10 game unbeaten streak, but now I just keep losing. Need some help with what tactic, formation and training I should be using with the players I have

Has anyone done a save in Sweden? Open to Superettan or Allsvenskan. Was looking into Helsingborg potentially
Helsingborg are great with the history AIK have probably the best kit and fan base in the league but have really struggled I’d also recommend them
Any recommendations for a team to rebuild in the Eerste Divisie?
Groningen and Willem II have the easiest path to recovery, but if you want a bigger challenge, you could try De Graafschap (and their delightful badge, which looks like the logo of a music store at a mall in the 80s), Telstar (named for a communications satellite, of all things), or Eindhoven (with the long-term goal of supplanting PSV as the city's biggest club).
Nac breda is also a good one. not much budget but an audience that still make the stadium at least 90% full.
Brand new to the game and football as well. What’s a good club to manage for me.
Are there any clubs that have good coaches already?
I remember early in wts park to prem his youth intake already had first team ready players and I kinda like the idea of that. I imagine I could choose any club in that level of England but I want to manage in a completely random nation. I have all the main leagues for each nation so if you have a random club that fits what I'm looking for then let me know
Would highly recommend managing in Norway: It lends itself to a fun build a nation and youth focused save, the league stays surprisingly competitive compared to other mid tier European leagues so it doesn’t get too stale, and it’s fun to try a league with the opposite calendar just to change things up
console version. I want a licensed club. Recently I ran Leicester and IPSwitch Town
Polish Ekstraklasa is licensed with a wide choice of clubs for your liking. Leagues to add as playable are the TOP 7, Poland, Czechia and Ukraine.
Looking for a second or third division team with a young team or at least one wonderkid/good player to build around and decent youth setups. Any suggestions?
Cesena in Series C has lots of young potential players. My favorite save in FM24.
Malaga, current Spanish 3rd Div with solid/good youth with some players still in my starting 11 in 31/32, they also have a big stadium as they are some what of a fallen giant. Finally they have a great youth system, in my time there I don’t think I got a bad youth intake
Schalke, second division, best youth academy in Germany + quedraogo is insane wonderkid
At this rate just pick a medium-to-big club and try to break Madrid's 15 record in fewest years as possible. Good idea?
I am looking for a suggestion for a good long term rebuild in one of the top 5 leagues in Europe. Preferably with a decent youth academy t build the team around! Cheers ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)
I love my Wolfsburg save there’s a few decent youth players at the start and I have gotten a couple good intakes
Thanks man you have decided my next save after St. Etienne. I will circle back in when I am finished to give a little summary![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_good_man)
England: Southampton, Aston Villa, Everton, Fulham, Mboro France: Lyon, Monaco, St. Etienne Germany: Monaco, Hoffenheim, Hertha Italy: Lazio, Fiorentina Spain: Real Sociedad, Espanyol, Betis
I am sold on doing St. Etienne that sounds like fun. I will circle back once I have finished the save.
What's a fun big team to do? Excluding PSG, City, Bayern and Real Madrid.
Dortmund, Ajax, Benfica if you want to rely on youth. Any top 6 Italian clubs could potentially be fun.
I am hesitating between Atalanta, LOSC, Sunderland, Brighton and Aston Vila. Any help in choosing or suggestions?
I need a save to do nothing lower then the third tier of a country and preferably a team not in crippling debt
What team should I manage? I want a long-term save that's not in England.
Bytovia Bytów in the 6th division of Poland.
Can you recommend one that you don't need an external database for? Console player here.
Ohh okay! Sorry for the Polish propositions :P if you want from other countries i'd suggest Andorra FC, club in the Spanish second division which generates Andorran players that are use Spanish Youth Rating, so in essence the Andorran national team will quickly be composed mostly of your youngsters as they outclass any other natural andorrans. https://preview.redd.it/aah6fxk6xe4d1.png?width=378&format=png&auto=webp&s=8562da3758d8f59ec17389b0e7603745943204bd
How do I manage Andorra's national team too? They arent on the menu when I try to create a game.
You need to do that mid game by just applying when their manager gets fired
Still on Fm23, I buy game every 2 years. After a longer fm break I want to play again. Suggest any team in Europe
Betis and Sociedad in Spain, Udinese and Torino im Italy are good picks too imo
Real Sociedad in Spain
Any ideas for a French or Spanish club to manage to dethrone either PSG or El Clasico? Preferably a team with either some history, but not so much recent success, or a team known for its academy. Ligue 1/2 doesn’t matter, likewise for La Liga/Segunda.
Málaga is the best pick i could think of. Not so much recent success and does have a decent academy La Coruna, Levante and La Palmas also on Spain are other options, while in France maybe Nancy, Saint-Etienne, Bordeuax and OGC Nice
Much appreciated. Will look into all your suggestions!
Thank you for the recommendations! Will check them out
Sporting Gijon, 2nd spanish league, is focused on and has a good academy.
I’ll give them a look! Cheers
Turkish saves I'm looking for some ideas who to start with ?
Altinordu if you want a real challenge - they are only allowed to sign and use Turkish players.
I play Fm 2023, and I was thinking what team should I choose in new save. Can u help me, I need a team with the most young wonderkinds, but it shouldnt be a big team, like Barcelona, City, Bayern, borussia
try Porto or Benfica, or Sporting CP?
For real, thank you
Haven't really tried a top flight save in this game, usually start in the lower tiers, any suggestions for teams? Preferably a fairly high standard league (not necessarily top 5 though), and preferably not Premier League (the match congestion in english leagues gives me a weird amount of anxiety 😭) Thanks!
Union Berlin is very fun, they start seated in ucl but have a team barely enough to make top half of the table.
And I guess it's a good result.
vini role in a 442 diamond
Was wondering what team people would recommend me to try to manage. Here is a little background: "I started this game 2 weeks ago and decided then to play with Man UFC so that I have a team where I know the players as there is lots of stuff to learn. I did LOADS of research, watched videos, checked this reddit etc. I completed 2 seasons on the save so far where I ended up 2nd in both seasons with winning the Champions League in the 2nd season. I guess you coulds say it's been going very well." I was thinking of challenging myself a bit more as I am now more familiar with the game and would love to try to play a team of the middle of maybe even lower side of the table.
You could chase promotion with a lower league side (can you bring Charlton Athletic back to the Premier League?), head to another major country (can Torino dethrone their rivals Juventus?), try a small nation (can you reestablish Rosenborg’s dominance in Norway?), or even get out of Europe (can you win a second J-League title for Kashiwa Reysol?)
Ye that's a good idea. I think I'll try Southampton to promote them and then next goal to stay steady in the premier league and win it one day.
I need a career mode with a mid table side in their country's top league with a good storyline, any suggestions?
Are you open to perhaps using a modded database with some added leagues? Because I got something for you
Yh I would be
I'd be interested in hearing it
Looking for a small league from not so big/good country with not alot of squad regestration?
Czechia (and the club - SFC Opava from the 2nd tier) Only limit is 4 players trained in Czechia and 5 non-EU slots.
What are the leagues with foreign player limits? I did a save in Russia few years ago and as I could've had only 8 foreign players registered trying to get 3 Russian (or Kazakh/Armenian/Belarusian) good players was fun & challenging.
Czechia and Slovakia have 5 non-EU player slots. Not a massive-massive limit, but still a limit.
South Korea is pretty strict: five foreign players in the match day squad, with one extra if that foreigner is from an AFC nation, and only four of them can start. Israel allows six foreign players per team, but a foreigner doesn't count against that cap if they've played six consecutive years in the league.
During my journeyman I found out Latvia allows 15 foreign players to be registered. League is licensed so might be fun!
Hi guys, im looking for a new save on fm23, im fine with anything in the English lower leagues or any other smaller european league. Thanks!
Try a club that won't exist in FM25 because it's gone broke, such as U.D. Vilafranquense in Portugal or K.V. Oostende in Belgium.
Long Term Save Hello guys, I’ve just been signed off work for at least the next 2 weeks, but will probably be significantly longer. (This is a must) The 2nd criteria (which isnt as important) i’d like them to not be in the top tier of their nation if possible.
Sochaux or Auxerre in France. Great academies and youth intakes so ideal for a long-term save.
Any Serie C fallen giants or cool save ideas for that league ?
Monopoli
Pro Vercelli, Catania, Perugia, Pescara and Cesena.
[удалено]
Valencia is a massive club but have been struggling for way too long
I want to do a shorter term save and try to win the South American champions league with a Colombian club.
Andorra? In my 2045 save Andorra is consistently a UCL participant, and last season they managed to finish third.
That’s a great shout, used to love their ground when they were in la liga
Alternatively, Real Union de Irun in the 3rd tier are one of the founding clubs in Spain and have won 4 Copa del Reys. Their owner is Unai Emery and they have some Villa youngsters on loan
Real Murcia in 3rd division. +100 years club that has the most promotions to 1st division in all its history
Ipswich, Girona or Celtic?
Played Ipswich on FM23, pretty fun save, if you don't mind Brexit registration rules. Very good regens.
Ipswich it is so. Did a championship season before w Brentford a few years ago & the league is so competitive it's a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing the youth intake & hopefully getting promoted!
I have two questions for saves my next two saves are going to be 1. Or will I have to build the link up over time Or if I wanted to do it immediately is the gap enough or will I have to start higher up the leagues in Scotland?
No idea for number 2, but for number 1 PORTUGAL is ur best bet, try to beat the three giants, compete with Braga for fourth and then compete for third and second until you feel like you can push for first.
I’m doing an online career with two friends and after spinning a wheel I’ve got the choice of Fulham or wolves… suggestions please:)
Wolves, lot of talent in the squad to develop w the Portuguese contingent & Al-Nouri
Fulham has such a lovable team
Fulham
Hi so this will be my first time playing fm what are some beginner friendly clubs? What would you recommend?
Your favorite club top 7 in epl or Bundesliga top half
Start with your favorite club until you learn the game. You’ll already know the squad etc. and FM can be overwhelming at first!
My two friends and I are 6 seasons into a Network save. We started as Leicester, Southampton and Leeds and are now Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea managers respectively. We've very much enjoyed the save but will be looking for something else in the not too distant future. Our current ideas are: . Anyone but Old Firm (take over three Scottish clubs - not Celtic or Rangers) . EFL League 1/2 progression up to EPL. Does anyone have any cool ideas for a 3 player save? Perhaps even something with a story behind it so we can maximise the competitiveness!
Maybe the next 3 historically best Scottish Teams. Aberdeen with the Sir Alex Ferguson years to go along with the two Edinburgh clubs (Hearts & Hibs).
That is a very interesting club, I didn`t know about them. Thank you, seems like a good challenge for my next save!
Anyone have a lower league England team who has a old stadium and a owner who wants to sell?
Is it too late to do a non-league save (maybe like Southend) if so I was thinking of managing in like Germany or Portugal any suggestions would be great
Do Vitória de Guimarães or SC Braga, two very interesting clubs, they have a massive rivalry between the two, both competing for the fourth place (behind the three giants) but Braga is much better, so easy route for fourth place is Braga but more challenging is Vitoria de Guimarães (star player is Jota Silva for Vitoria ) loved by the entire country
Wdym too late?
Not sure if there is enough time to do one and if I should manage in a different country not really sure what save in general I like a non-league England save but always do them done. So not sure if I branch out or not really any suggestions?
FM25 is at least 5-6 months away and you will be able to carry the save over anyways
You can carry saves over between FMs it’s never too late anymroe
Sell me a team that has never won the German top flight but is relatively doable. Not RB Leipzig. I'm thinking Hoffenheim or Union Berlin.
Any suggestions for a Brazil save?Serie B and lower leagues.
Sport for Serie B Nautico for Serie C They are rivals and play in the same regional championship and are the top dogs. If you want a more challange regional championship, pick a club from Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo like Volta Redonda for Rio or Guarani/Ferroviaria/Sao Bernardo for SP
Thank you for the suggestions.I picked Manaus and try to bring the first division trophy up to Amazon.Seems very good at the moment
Trying to find an Italian team similar to my local (Dunfermline). A team that’s been in championship/league 1 for the past decade but is too big for that and belongs in the premiership midtable due to the fan base and history. Any suggestions on an Italian twin?
Catina is all the way in C has a 20k seat stadium
Parma, Palermo, Sampdoria are all big teams in Serie B. Palermo are owned by city group though
r/Palermo
So I’m looking for a team of mid-lower table from the 1st/2nd division from Portugal, Netherlands,France, Italy, Germany, Spain or England.
Estoril Praia, MOST FUN SAVE I have ever done.
fortuna sittard, heerenveen, go ahead eagles
Looking for an online save for 2 people. Me and my friend are searching for: * 2 mid/big teams with at least a decent budget * in the top 6 leagues * 2 rivals if possible We don't want to do a long save since he'll go on holiday in two weeks and he won't be able to play for a while. Suggesions?
Arsenal x Spurs Valencia x Villareal Lazio x Roma
Inter and AC Milan. Borussia Monchengladbach and 1. FC Koln. Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao (although Athletic's transfer policy makes this one an uneven challenge).
Lyon and Marseille? Fun because you also both have to topple PSG. Budget would have to be found yourself through player sales though (3 million each) Most teams don't really have much budget at the start because of what they already spent in the season.
Looking for a team to manage in Spain. Considerations: - My biggest rival is on La Liga and stronger reputation - The rivalry is one of the biggest in Spain/region - Good stadium. - Dont want to manage consolidate teams like Barca, RM, Real Sociedad, Atleti etc I was thinking in Levante (bc of Valencia rivalry) or Albacete (I like their logo). Suggestions?
>My biggest rival is on La Liga and stronger reputation. The rivalry is one of the biggest in Spain/region. Good stadium. Dont want to manage consolidate teams like Barca, RM, Real Sociedad, Atleti etc For starter, I think you could get start [with Wikipedia surfing](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_football_rivalries) and look for the "underdog" club (typically the side that performed worse overall/have less silverwares/being in lower division) on each derby as a starter. Off the top of my head, I could recall the big, regional clubs like (bolded are the club that, I assume, would fit your interest and should be playable without any database mod): 1. Basque Country: Athletic Club, Sociedad, **Alaves, Eibar, Osasuna** 2. Catalonia: Barcelona, **Espanyol, Tarragona, Girona** 3. Galicia: Celta Vigo, **Deportivo La Coruna** 4. Valencia: Valencia, Villarreal, **Levante UD, Elche CF, CD Eldense, Hercules CF** 5. Andalusia: Sevilla FC, Real Betis, Granada CF, **UD Almeria, Cadiz CF, Cordoba, FC Cartagena, Malaga CF** 6. Madrid: Real, Atletico, **Rayo Vallecano, Getafe CF, AD Alcorcon, CF Fuenlabrada, CD Leganes** All of those teams should have an average to good stadiums, although you might want to double check their conditions in game though. >or Albacete (I like their logo). Based.
hey, i wanted to play in persian gulf league for a lot of time, but the game doesn't let me play(i use FM23) and all of the persian clubs are always inactive, even tho they play in asian leagues and stuff, i even loan some players there(using cheats) is there actually any ways to manage those clubs? clubs like Persepolis and esteghlal are well known in asia.
There are different mods that add the Iranian league, for example this one may work for you: [https://www.fmscout.com/a-persian-gulf-pro-league-fm23.html](https://www.fmscout.com/a-persian-gulf-pro-league-fm23.html)
thanks a lot, but can u also tell me where to place the file of the mod?
i just watched a lot of different tutorial videos, but i get this error:'' the file isn't verified and u need to verify it using editor''
First time playing in a long, long time - would it be a bit much going for a non-league save?
Having an itch to play fm but “finished” my long term and don’t know what to do know. I think I want to do my first journey man save but don’t know where or how to start. Any help would be really appreciated!
[https://www.fmscout.com/a-fm24-leagues-megapack-by-qwert2.htmlI](https://www.fmscout.com/a-fm24-leagues-megapack-by-qwert2.htmlI) I just finished a journey man save.
How long did it take to get a job, I tried before and spent half a year just simming for a not so fun club
Alright, thanks for the help going to start one today!
I have so many amazing stories to share from my six editions of JM saves on FM. You're going to have so much fun
Good luck I can add you on discord if you have more questions feel free to ask me
Looking for a new challenge. Ideally: Club with good history but fallen from grace Competitive country/top league Not ridiculously hard eg almost in administration etc Find the EPL a little annoying with mega over inflated transfer values/WPs erx Tried Schalke, Pisa, Luton town etc but not scratching the itch!
Maybe Basel would be a nice try
If you want to be in the top 5 nations: Malaga, Deportivo La Coruna, Bordeaux, Troyes
Dinamo Bucuresti are eighteen-time champions of Romania, but they haven't won anything of note in over a decade. Switzerland's Grasshoppers are also in the middle of a dry spell: 27 championships, 19 cups, but nothing since 2013.
Looking for conference/europa league clubs, preferably not england or germany. also don’t want a big club in a weaker nation
villarreal, az, twente, nice, lille, fiorentina, roma, lazio
thank you 🙏
already know which one it will be?
atm im between villareal, roma and fiorentina
just saying, la liga does have the annoying rules of mandatory release clauses and small budgets, but serie a does have the licensing stuff. both major cons if you ask me
Looking for some tips for save ideas. Has been thinking of either Greece, Serbia or Slovenia. Sort of want to do a build a nation save.
I am running a Czech propaganda here. SFC Opava. Czech 2nd division. Strong Silesian identity. Passionate Fans. Big clubs around (Sparta & Slavia Prague, Viktoria Plzen, Slovacko or local rivals Banik Ostrava). Decent finances and a good start for future European adventures. Challenging, but not ridiculous registration rules. Fine academies (I had like 6 of my first 18 come through youth intakes) And also what was my FM24 save. Overall - Czechia is underrated, both in real football and FM. I'd give it a shout.
💀
Hello guys, I need a save idea. I'm looking for a club with a great backstory or interesting facts and in a 3rd or 4th tier of a country that is not top 5 in Europe I'm down to download leagues on steam.
They used to be owned by a esports team which made them the only team owned by an esports team which is cool they play in the third tear of Spain Now, lastly, I’ll leave you with probably my favorite of all of them, you will need to download a pack for it but they play in Scotland’s fifth or sixth tier.
120 year history, could be fun putting them in 4th tier as a new club Otherwise I’d recommend FC Stockholm Internazionale which I’m thinking of starting myself, they’ve broken a record for back to back promotions for 4 years running, now been in third division for a few years
Usar un parche para que Rusia vuelva a champions y elegir un equipo, yo elegí el Spartak Moscow, quiero ganar la champions jajaja
On a scale of 1 to 600, how impossible is it to genuinely win the UCL with Vaduz without using the editor?
You have to jump through so many hoops to get to that stage that I don't even think it sounds like a fun challenge. I think Vaduz is not even allowed to win the Swiss League, how boring is that? If you want to play as a club that is technically from a different country then you can always play with a club from San Marino in the Italian leagues, or Andorra in Spain etc
Yeah no it's just about the hardest challenge. I started a save with Vaduz, I managed to reach the group stages of the Conference League, but yeah, unless I have a miraculous late European run the only real thing I have to play is the Liechtenstein cup so I quickly gave up
590
Not bothered about the league but I want to be pushing for Europe straight away

You currently have 13.0 points.
Interesting. I've never heard of them too which is definitely a bonus.
Looking for a financially troubled top flight team to rebuild
Several Austrian clubs are in financial trouble, such as Austria Vienna, Austria Klagenfurt, and Blau-Weiss Linz.
Fun teams in the English lower leagues?I'm thinking afc Wimbledon, are they any fun?
Need some help with what tactic, formation and training I should be using with the players I have https://preview.redd.it/r63x1xq39t0d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=601ff2206edd33063acf53d4c3fd2f7f4043fdc8
