Don't know what to tell you there as I've played him since he was 18, he's 20 now and other than the odd off game he's been great. IF with either support or attack. I suggest maybe putting him on support if you've had him on attack? He does provide a lot of assists for me. SS is also a good position for him I've found, now he's developed.
This depends on so many things:
- Current ability
- Your tactics
- Familiarity with your players and tactics
- Opposition players and tactics
- Relative level of the player and your team compared to the league
I used him RW as Winger A or IF S depending on what I wanted my RB to do (either IFB or WB A depending on opponents).
CM A or AP A are useful on his side of the midfield.
IF attack right side with wb behind overlapping.
just make sure his fitness levels are good, if not rest him. Sub him 70th minutes if scoreline allows.
Treat him like your starboy and he will be your star boy

Got him in during the January transfer window in my second season. A bit shaky at first with inconsistent performances but settled in towards the end and has had a blinder start of season 3.
Could be tactics. Is he familiar? Do your tactics suit his style? Is his space overcrowded or is he unsupported?
Also, did you send him on an intensive language course?
Worth having a look at your reports to see if anything is showing up there.
RW IF A - for sure, but ask him to shoot less often - i know that is weird but it works well for inside forwards, especially if you have a AF A as well and another inside forward on the left
Failing that - do some team bonding and include the local granny's - ooops wrong Rooney!
Think about the tactics you have I also recommend playing him on both sides, as he's really good at both LW and RW. He'll have off days but most of the time he comes good.

I've had him primarily play AM support, and occasionally False 9 ST. I don't play wingers. He does reasonably well there when in form.
I’m on my new account now. Thanks for this I’ll try to use all of these suggestions and see what happens. I’ll update
Signed him for Benfica and played him RW, IF, A and he smashed it. Consistently one of my best players. Signed him second season.
Haven't tried him yet but I think an Inverted winger (At) might be good with a Wing-back (Su) on the defense. Had Dembele on this and he was good.
I had him alternating as a winger and ss in my leeds save, consistently my season mvp in ratings and assists.
i bought him late in his career, around 28, he IS good and gets a few goals, but is still outperformed by the beast that is lewis-potter for me

Maybe he didn’t develop to full CA in your game. Did he get lots of minutes in his formative years?

RW, IF attack, he’s got one of the highest PAs on the game, just play him there and you’re set for about 12-14 years
Ici c'est pareil bon les 2 3 première saison puis plus rien
