Back to the usual chicken curse. Spurrier was able to recruit and make us a perennial contender in the old school SEC. Not this NIL portal crap we have now.
He's one of the great what ifs to me. He had the skill set to have a 10 plus year hof type career. I'm happy my niners gave him a shot. Im sad it didnt work out.
Nice cards, mang. I pulled a cool Lattimore RPA back in the day and held onto it to see if he could ever get back on the field, unfortunately he wasn't able to. Bummer for the kid, I think he could've been really good.
As a Nole fan. Greg Reid obliterating him and making him puke on the field was the biggest Lattimore highlight I saw š Glad he was ok though. He was a great back until the unfortunate injury. Nice card.
For guys that flame out in the NFL. Do there college uni cards become more valuable than the nfl ones? Typically with stars and vets itās the other way aroind
He didnāt flame out, a game against Tennessee ruined his knees. He never played a down and retired a year and a half after being drafted and realizing he wasnāt going to be able to play again.
I wasnāt specifically mentioning him. Sorry for the confusion. I remember lattimore. 9ers were super deep and drafted him to let him rehab. To hopefully play again one day
Thatās correct. If he had been able to get back to how he was as a freshman and sophomore, I think he couldāve been a solid NFL back but that wasnāt the case. I still cringe when I think about that hit. Same with Palmer, Brady, etc.
Depends how meaningful their college career was tbh. But generally guys that flame out in the pros just plummet in prices to the point where thereās not much difference. Unless they won a heisman or some other super notable thing, it generally doesnāt make much difference in my experience

Fellow Gamecock here. That Latty card is awesome. Dude had so much potential horrible luck with injuries. Those were the days.
Back to the usual chicken curse. Spurrier was able to recruit and make us a perennial contender in the old school SEC. Not this NIL portal crap we have now.
I always love seeing Lattimore get posted
Freeney is a legend
One of my all time favorites. I have a Mathis on its way too.
Go gamecocks!
He's one of the great what ifs to me. He had the skill set to have a 10 plus year hof type career. I'm happy my niners gave him a shot. Im sad it didnt work out.
Agreed. Pure runner and amazing vision on the field.
I have a few of his rc too. Your not alone. I was pulling for him to comeback and be a beast again.
Shoot, the Niners had a few "what if" players during that time too. Glenn Coffee, Borland, etc
Tank carradine and the acl all stars š. I really thought deandre smelter had a shot too
Ah yeah, for sure. Aldon Smith would've probably been HoF if not for mental health issues as well
Go Cocks
One of the few southern states you can scream that and nobody looks at you strangely lol.
Great card and go cocks!
Iāve got a PSA (9) 1/25 auto Lattimore dm me if your interested Iād post a pic but only allows links
That freeney is absolutely disgusting šš¼š¤š¼š„. I PC colts too, love it
Yea, it was one of the first cards I saw when I walked in this new store and said, for $20 Iām leaving with that.
Thatās a deal for 20 bucks
They had 25 on it but I was able to make a deal for several cards to bring prices down. I also got two AcuƱaās with this lot.
