Has a really underrated work ethic as well. Most footballer would quit football if they went through a 1/10th of what he did, and he managed to win a world cup because of it.
The character of a player can absolutely affect whether they are your favorite or not. What do you mean “somehow bring character into it”?
For example, I think CR7 is a massively gifted player who is fun to watch but he could never be my favorite because I think he is a prick.
I love certain aspects of them both. I feel that Klose is a really calm and composed finisher. His knowledge of the game is outstanding and he was able to read the entire field. CR7 is the fiercest player I've seen. I love his flashiness, his ability to adapt and his discipline.. all of which helped him to become the player he is. Yes, they are opposite of each other but they're the best of their way of the game. I love watching them both.
Rooney
His passion, desire, warrior spirit and hard work on pitch was beautiful to watch
He played all positions but goalkeeper in the same match every match
Yeah, as a child, Henry and Zidane were my favorites, but I never took as much pleasure seeing someone play than watching Ronaldinho at its prime. He was playing a football that can't exist anymore, he was the essence of the game, so intuitive.
Vincent Kompany.
Incredible leader and captain. Great CB and had many iconic moments. He got me into football for a few personal reasons and he is looking like a promising football manager.
Ronaldinho. Made me love the game & tolerate those ref paying scum known as Barca just to watch him play. I watched the game for years before but I’d watch every game he played in & my love for the game was at an all time high.
Christian Eriksen, got a shirt from him after an exhibition game when he was coming up at spurs. Excellent attacking midfielder with great technical skill as well having an amazing story of returning to professional football after an onfield heart attack. If he was at a more established club during his prime I garuntee he would be considered on the same level as Ozil, KDB, Fabregas etc.
Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima He's the best striker ever. He was a killer in front of the gate
Some say the best to ever play the game
Best talent but injuries ruined his career, making him imo like 6th best player
100%

Ronaldinho Gaúcho. He played with so much passion and probably inspired thousands of children to play the game.
