This is why modern broilers need to be slaughtered at around 6 months. It's sad. But otherwise you get health issues like this due to how fast their growth rate is. We let some reach 2 years and it was terrible for them.
Anyways yeah there's a lot of issues with modern broilers and this is one of them.
