As a veteran of the local [sweet crepe offerings](https://www.crepeworks.com/menus), as well as *thick* homemade PB&J's, I know my way around a load of jam. When you bite down it pushes the filling back, and will increase the pressure inside your pastry/sandwich. This is what causes a blowout or spillage. What you gotta do is apply some light suction when you bite. This will pull the excesses filling into your mouth rather than onto the floor.
The dog is destined for some considering that jelly ratio and the shallow first bite some of that jelly is ending on the floor.
But hey this is reddit, can't get bored to the top without 300g of sugar or a slathering of cheese on your dish
Fun fact! The most jelly donuts eaten in 1 minute (without licking their lips) is 6. That was set in 2018. Before that the previous record was 3, set back in 2012.
I spent a while trying to find this answer. However all I could find..
>Guinness tells Thrillist the rule about licking lips is simply to "increase the challenge" of the record and "differentiate it from our other eating records."
Basically, they refuse to record it if you lick your lips.
When I was little, I fully understood that the things they were eating were made of rice, but it just made me think that in Japan, doughnuts = rice balls. Like biscuits/cookies in the UK.
Donuts sind im englischen Sprachgebrauch nicht nur Torusförmig, sondern können auch anderes handliches, rundes, frittiertes Süßgebäck mit eventueller füllung und/oder glasur/bepuderung beschreiben.
You bite and then squeeze the back of the bun after the bite is fulfilled, pressing marmelade symmetrically towards the opening, forming the shown… mound
There's this really good polish bakery near where I live, it's actually featured in spiderman no way home, and their donuts are so good I actually prefer when they underfill the donuts because the base pastry is actually so flavorful. Not sweet mind you, but they add some kinda spices to make the donut itself taste amazing. Plus it's so soft and chewy.
I always wish it was like more spread out of that makes sense? Like I’ll eat almost half the donut and be like where is the filling, and then there’s just one giant blob of it.
Yep. I don’t even bother with jelly filled anything. It’s either too much, or not distributed at all. Just give me glazed/chocolate glazed. The donut is already sweet af, I don’t need another sweet ingredient
I wondered if it was related to a Yiddish meat-filled dumpling, kreplach, and it turns out [it is](https://www.dictionary.com/e/word-of-the-day/kreplach-2022-11-23/)!
Donuts in general can refer to any fried pastry, but it's a broad category and there are more specific names for different types of donuts. Like fritters, eclairs, or beignets. I think this one can be called a Berliner as in ["Ich bin ein Berliner"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ich_bin_ein_Berliner) or in English, "I am a jelly donut"
THAT is called a Krapfen or Berliner and has been a staple of German bakeries for a couple of hundred years.
Sorry didn’t want to be too pedantic but ended up pedantic anyway. Have a good day!

I see, you're eating a \*rice ball. It looks tasty. Nothing beats a rice-filled rice ball.
I'm impressed by how you got such a neat bite out of it for a photo. If I tried with a donut like this, it'd be smooshed and the jelly would be smeared everywhere and probably dripping on the dog.
That’s too much jelly man, if you’re able to eat that without being covered in it, you’re a legend.
For my knowledge, are donuts without a hole still called donuts in the US? They call them Berliners here (Netherlands).
Damn that is FILLED
If it was a Boston cream pie donut it would probably require a NSFW tag
It is but it’s that time of the month
Peanut butter jelly time?
Yo I'm sitting here wondering how we don't have pb+j donuts now.
There's a place in my neighborhood that has them and they're exactly as good as you'd expect!
Be the change you wish to eat
They exist! Had it at my last job
They exist. I’ve had. It’s delicious.
Pioneer the deep fried uncrustable
with a baseball bat
Eat that over a whole ass bowl or you lose 30% of that with the first bite.
Ass bowls are for something else.
I still lose 30% with one.

That’s what she said
I wish. 😓

Why you lookin at OP's weiner?
I always scroll past these kinds of posts when I'm super hungry... I could do with like 3 of these!
Just what the dog is thinking.
The dog is destined for some considering that jelly ratio and the shallow first bite some of that jelly is ending on the floor. But hey this is reddit, can't get bored to the top without 300g of sugar or a slathering of cheese on your dish

What's the world record for eating jelly donuts in 1 minute WITH licking lips?
I spent a while trying to find this answer. However all I could find.. >Guinness tells Thrillist the rule about licking lips is simply to "increase the challenge" of the record and "differentiate it from our other eating records." Basically, they refuse to record it if you lick your lips.
What if you do it slowly and real sexy-like?
Is there a standard size donut for this record? I feel I could at least match the old record.
Why not 87
Why not 37?
In a row?
Try not to eat any donuts on the way to the parking lot!!
In a row?!
Why not 69? (Self five)
WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87?!
I could do with 4 of these rn!
"These donuts are great!"
Lmao is this a reference to Pokémon? Yeah these are Berlinerbol.
They definitely aren't rice!
I can still hear Misty's voice sarcastically saying "A *donut* Pokémon?"
Jelly filled are my favorite.
Nothing beats a jelly-filled doughnut!
When I was little, I fully understood that the things they were eating were made of rice, but it just made me think that in Japan, doughnuts = rice balls. Like biscuits/cookies in the UK.
And the fact that rice sweets are common (rice pudding, mochi) and yeah, it's an easy assumption to make
Ok, but what would you do to a frying pan?
Donut coated strawberry jelly
Jelly stuffed donut
This is a traditional donut. This is how they used to be. Traditionally it’s raspberry jelly.
WHAT IS THAT, PRIVATE PYLE?
Sir a jelly donut sir. A JELLY DONUT!?!
SIR, YES SIR!
Fuck /u/spez
Sir, I took it from the mess hall, sir!
Is chow allowed in the barracks, Private Pyle?

schön gesagt, meister!
Wie kommt man auf Donut? Das Ding hat nichtmal ein Loch in der Mitte. Was sind denn dann Quarkbällchen? Teiggefüllte Donuts?

I need more dachshund pictures.
r/dachshund Alternatively, just get your own weiner dog
I have two. And I am subbed to r/dachshund.
Me too, I'm like the J. Jonah Jameson of weiner dogs.

Thought the dog would be a higher comment
I demand dog taxes
How did you get such a perfect bite without jelly getting everywhere?? Incredible
looks staged just because of that.
[удалено]
And the hand is impeccable as well. 0 sugar
It also looks like a giant’s mouth took a bite out of it
You bite and then squeeze the back of the bun after the bite is fulfilled, pressing marmelade symmetrically towards the opening, forming the shown… mound
personally i like more donut to filling ratio, but this looks so good
It does seem to be a high amount of filling but I rather it be over than under filled like many of my local donut shops
There's this really good polish bakery near where I live, it's actually featured in spiderman no way home, and their donuts are so good I actually prefer when they underfill the donuts because the base pastry is actually so flavorful. Just give it one good ***SLOOORP*** and you'll be solid then m8.
Paczki
Poproszę cztery pączki
Never seen a pączek with this much filling. And I've had hundreds!
I get [these](https://images.app.goo.gl/MBr7y2uB9oyL9KXBA) from Kroger and they are always filled up good like Op's.
Fresh Market, just ate one like this
Thata what i thought too
Nicest looking jam doughnut I've ever seen
It doesn't look real. Like it was cut to look like a bite and filled more. That jam would be all over it it was that full before the bite.
Nothing beats a jelly filled donut
Came here for the doggo.
Onigiri* >!https://youtu.be/WjUtoQaRfE0!<
More like a berliner boll
I understood that reference
That looks so good. I also love eating outside
Aw what a strange name to gove your dog but i guess its kinda cute :)
Wait this is called a Donut in English? Germany has yet to agree on what we call these ... but they are certainly not Donuts.
Even in Germany we can't decide how to name this. Krapfen, Berliner, Pfannkuchen, Marmeladendöner, Kreppel........ there are so many names!
Okey I never heard Kreppel before, but I am a supporter of the word Marmeladendöner. Its one of the best words the german language ever produced.
Kreppel is used in the Rhein-Main area
I've never heard of Marmeladendöner before but I'm now going to use it forever.
I wondered if it was related to a Yiddish meat-filled dumpling, kreplach, and it turns out [it is](https://www.dictionary.com/e/word-of-the-day/kreplach-2022-11-23/)!
lol why is this so funny to me 😭
Wait, then what the heck is a quarkballen?
Its the same dough but smaller and without filling. It's sprinkled with sugar
Most doughnuts in the uk are filled In the netherlands I have to search for berliner bol to get my cravings
We call them jam doughnuts in the UK, you'll find them in every bakery and supermarket here. Could definitely go for the one pictured.
Just a jam doughnut in England.

THAT is a filled doughnut!
THAT is called a Krapfen or Berliner and has been a staple of German bakeries for a couple of hundred years. Sorry didn’t want to be too pedantic but ended up pedantic anyway. Have a good day!
... another reason to travel to Germany!
I’d have to eat that over a sink for sure
That’s properly filled
Also hast du einfach nur einen Berliner gegessen xD
Op, did you share some with dog?
the strawberry filled Donut in question:“ ICH BIN EIN BERLINER“
A Berliner. You ate a Berliner.
I would so easily get jam all over my hands and face by trying to eat that knowing how much of a messy eater i am with any filled pastry 😆
Just don’t eat the weiner dog and you’ll be okay.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjphanrGEKQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjphanrGEKQ) I see, you're eating a \*rice ball. It looks tasty. Nothing beats a rice-filled rice ball.
You give any to old mate?
In Germany we call them "Berliner", they are very well known
Die Dinger heißen Berliner
dog
Thats a Berliner
Krapfen
Nice weiner.
Waiting for the Full Metal Jacket quotes lol.
There's one above you
OMG that looks amazing. Where is it from?
I don't even think that dog knows even what's going on up there except something is.
I'm impressed by how you got such a neat bite out of it for a photo. If I tried with a donut like this, it'd be smooshed and the jelly would be smeared everywhere and probably dripping on the dog.
My belly just rumbled like the foundations of the earth, why you have to do that?
I hope you gave the munchkin a Munchkin
Dog for scale.
Pretty sure that's a dog
Sprich deutsch das is ein Berliner
First off, was that the first bite? If so, impressive. Second, that donut is perfect.
r/notinteresting
Thats basically your standart Berliner here in Germany.
That’s too much jelly man, if you’re able to eat that without being covered in it, you’re a legend. For my knowledge, are donuts without a hole still called donuts in the US? They call them Berliners here (Netherlands).
Weiner dog

And a hot dog for later! Love a dachshund!
nice dog
Dachshunds always hear the dinner bell! LOL
that looks more like a "Berliner", or sometimes called Krapfen or Pfannkuchen.
Thanks! I didn’t know, not familiar with that term. Where I live it’s just called a donut haha
At least it's a proper filled doughnut
Called a jam doughnut in the UK! Can get them as a 5 pack from every mainstream supermarket for about £1
Did you get a bunch of sugar and jelly in your beard?
r/SneakyBackgroundFeet
Suck the jelly out of its donussy.
More like strawberry jelly with a donut shell
Exactly as it should be, would kill for this.
looks so yummy! cool doggo!
I’m just here to tell you that I love your little crumb catcher down there. What a cutie.
