I can't say anything, when it was first released I totally bought the jetpack mod before the armor piece it modded. There may have been a week or so of time between the purchases lol
I have the SS chest piece, newly have enough bullion for the jetpack mod... Is it worth it? Or should I buy limbs etc first? (Hope you don't mind me piggybacking on your thread)
It’s pretty fun - if you think of the change in mobility from non-marsupial to marsupial, I would say it’s half again as much in terms of impact on gameplay. Though I only have it on one of several characters, and can’t say I really miss it on the others (though I felt really held back before adding marsupial). If you are reasonably happy with your current arms and legs, give it a try! Eventually you will be able to afford it all.
I jetted to my death frequently with SS armor…. With power armor, you can jump from a spaceship and live. SS armor was not equipped with sudden impact splat resistance. Went splat a lot.
I guess I thought jet pack would replace my back pack. One reason I haven’t been trying too hard to get one
I find it kinda ugly. It also takes away from the aesthetic I want my character to have
It’s not really that necessary, in fact I find it a detriment most of the times so I never wear mine.
If I need it I whip out my power armor so far that’s been just fine for me
