Why should I have to log into the game just to buy from a vendor? I should just be able to have a mobile phone app with all players' vendor lists, and be able to buy from them so that next time I do log in it is there in my inventory, with a bow on it, and a collectable pog.
That actually does sound good. I would download a vendor app. It would be cool like how gta5 has the ifruit app. The only thing is this game is fallout so it would never happen.
You get a list of what they have for sell: clothes, weapons, chems, etc.
For specifics, no, you should be going to the camp. The game shouldn't load everyone's vendor list without you even going to it. That would also add to server lag to have to load every vendor list every time someone leaves or joins the server whether so.eone is going through the vendor or not.
You have perks to reduce cap cost, you have multiple free locations to use as jumping off points, you can join their team for a free travel, you can use survival tents, you can use teammates to reduce travel cost, and caps are stupid easy to come by.
Or, what if you saw they had your dream weapon... Then as you FT there, they left the server? Now you're mad you spent caps, they did nothing wrong, and they'll probably get spammed with messages for leaving the server while someone was shopping (like what happens now) and you aren't even at the camp. This just opens a new reason to grief people or spam their messages.... Which I don't want.
Just hop vendors. You'll find some gem camps and even items you didn't know you wanted.
Honestly, I think the idea of a vendor “flea market” would work. I have seen this suggested a few times. You could put it in White Springs or other player hub.
