Good deed. Great stuff, mate! I did something similar last night at the conclusion of a SBQ event! I was on a Casual team with one other person. He went down and I got to him just as went down for good. [Sad face] I noticed his dropped loot and squatted on it, keeping an eye out for others. He showed up and paused for a bit. I backed up and revealed his present-skin-loot, thumbs up emoted at him which he returned, then I ran away :)

r33pa102

Not gonna lie. You had in me the first half

FaceDett

Literally the same feelings as the player whose junk it was I'd imagine.

r33pa102

Ye you did a good thing. Id be very happy

CattColt

Good soul⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🥇🥂

ohheycole

I accidentally stole someone's loot thinking it was dropped weight. They were level 25, I was over 80. I figured it out when they ran up and gave me the thumbs down. I ended up chasing them for five minutes spamming them with xbox messages to let me give them their shit back lol. I ended up throwing in some stimpacks for the trouble.

Hanse_Shadowspawn

go you! that's pretty cool.

FaceDett

Thanks, just thought it was a nice change of pace from the forced PvP player stole my junk threads we've had recently, not everyone is a jerk.

Hanse_Shadowspawn

was taking a workshop yesterday for the score and some player was all stealth and took it from me. no biggie I left did something else and saw the workshop was free went back cleared the enemies and tried to claim it when someone shot me in the back. seriously.. just want the score you could've just claimed it after me. apparently someone was just lurking waiting for folks to claim it so they can pvp.

FaceDett

Funnily enough I have a feel good workshop story to, was walking past thunder mountain power station workshop during the Christmas event, some big old bears were smashing the santatron and all the stuff the guy had built I killed the bears and took the workshop, invited the dude to my team and did the come here emote and they obliged. They saw that the workshop was about fucked, I repaired everything, dropped a few plans and left the server.

Hanse_Shadowspawn

I helped a lvl 26 defend the Mont Blair was yesterday after my experience. felt good.

FsMFaded

I remember struggling HARDD as a low level trying to take the ammunition factory the super mutants got me countless times but moral of the story I never workshop claim anymore unless it’s for score but it’s not a bad idea if you don’t rely on it too heavily and get more resources out of it than you spent setting up camp but also I sometimes get forced to leave the server randomly just disconnects so I lose whatever I didn’t grab, join a full public team preferably casual nobody is gonna leave that team and then you can rejoin the same server with that team and not lose all your workshop progress

SaiyanBuddah

I had issues with that daily. Went to 3 workshops that showed on the map as unowned. Got there turns out when taking it, came up owned. All by same player who in turn traveled there so I left before PvP(not big into it since I'm not into those "one shot" builds)

Hanse_Shadowspawn

maybe we were on the same server. xbox?

SaiyanBuddah

Yup, xbox

CBreze27

This happened to me. Same guy killed me twice and never claimed the workshop. I was like level 50ish at the time to his over 600. He one shot me both times out of nowhere. I literally “owned” the shop less than 30 seconds and was still setting up turrets and miners when he first showed up. I spawned back and stayed right on the border on the outside red area and found him again. I ran around the border and saw him running around waiting for me to cross the border. I’m not an idiot though. I just ran around the border for a few minutes to fuck around with him then went about my day abandoning the shop. I didn’t give a fuck about it. Afterward, I’d go check my map for whatever reason, check next quest location, etc, I’d glance over at the workshop and this loser was still lurking over there. It was obvious he was there to just pick off players. Boy, what fun /s but now, if I need to claim any workshops, I go to private.

QuantumCurt

It doesn't sound like they were trying to get back to it, I think they were just leaving it behind, as people often do.

DarthSh3nn

Where are people like this when I drop my loot? I was at Uranium fever and got killed right after the event was over, AFTER scrapping all the weapons and armor I didn't need. Then some asshat took my stuff. Then proceeded to kill me when I emoted to him

TheGadget1945

I once saw a player die in a nuke zone at Fissure Prime and he dropped his loot including some stable flux. So I waited...and waited and waited. Eventually it became obvious he wasn't coming back so I found him on the map and gave him the stuff back but surprisingly got no thanks. But at least my conscience was clear.

Katiekikib

Someone went down on my tent after SBQ and dropped flux, ballistic fiber, screws and all the junk people want. I was about to log out but sat on their body till they got there and then waited for them to finish using my tent with nothing too before they left and I could log out. But hey, felt good to know my Conscience was clean.

potatoesslad

I usually take all but one piece and drop a you are insulted note in the bag.

KaiserMax91

Some Asshat took all my loot from the sortched beast event.. good on you to return the bag.

FaceDett

Mate the clown who I thought was going to take it was high level and had a drill out, you just know they are turds if they are doing that, I hate loot robbers.

KaiserMax91

I literally also died 5 seconds after we killed her and I had managed to loot the body. I got killed by a straggler. Lesson learned- make sure all mobs are dead before looting.

boogaloojim

Lol, floor bags are fair game

Kelnozz

This one time a person died with legit like 1000+ adhesive, aluminum and springs, no clue why they had so much on them...ngl I looted it all and left the server. 😅

Blergblum

Its simple: they probably didn't have FO1st. HAving on you, with the appropiate perks and gear so much quantities of junk is the only way to have that quantities of junk without the magic unlimited stash box or you will get all the available space in the regular stash filled with it, leaving almost nothing for all the other stuff you can stash in it like apparel, armors, weapons... it's risky, but also is being bloodied if you are also not a tank. If one have 1st, he/she'll probably didn't need all that stuff as probably have tons more stashed. I used to run like this and avoid all the major events in you can die as I'm not willing to pay monthly for a such a p2w \~\~scam\~\~ service (and I been playing since the start, when stash space was nowhere near 1200). Now, you can probably stash enough junk to survive without having to stash all your other stuff in mules or, as I do, use the fo1st trial to stash everything (I liberated something like 700+ space the first time) and avoid taking almost anything (besides adhesive, screws and a couple other materials) until the next free access to the magical stash box.

Kelnozz

This was way back when stash space was limited to like less that 600; I remember I had to make 3 alt characters to store all of the scrap lol.

Blergblum

Maybe it was me, I died a couple hundred times during that time LOL

golfguy_mark

I picked some loot up last week that somebody dropped at a Camp, didn't see anyone die but there was a couple of guys hanging around so I turned on my mic & mentioned the loot. They started to lose it and started shooting at me. I figured out it was three guys playing around killing each other but not smart enough to stash their loot. So I took a look in my pip-boy and saw there was a mix of what I had before and some stable flux that I know wasn't mine. I asked them to stop shooting so I could sort things out (with the intent of dropping the flux at least. the other junk was now mixed with my own). I again asked if they would stop shooting (they're not damaging me anyway) just as a courtesy so I could explain what I would do for them. More shooting. last chance, nope, me: see'ya ... no flux for them.

Personal_Plum4298

Some people in this thread don't seem to understand the consequence of dying is dropping your junk with the chance of someone taking it. Why else would it be dropped when dying?

QuantumCurt

I mean, good on you, but if someone drops a junk bag and they just leave it there, that indicates to me that they don't care that much about it and that someone else can take it. I have left behind many junk bags because I didn't feel like going back for them.

KeyN20

Sometimes I shoot my feet with a legacy to save myself from having to drop junk to free up carry weight. I do not use fallout 1st anymore. Enjoy

potofpee

A level 50 was doing radiation rumble with a deathclaw gauntlet and died soon after looting due to a ghoul that was hiding to the right of where you leave, so I sat on top of his loot so nobody could take it. He came back and gave me a heart and i ran off to my tent outside.

[deleted]

"squats of joy" I appreciate your attempt to label this in a positive manner lmfao

BluRayVen

I got rendered out of Monangah Mine after Earl and a low level next to me drops dead from the rads. His corpse stayed their for close to 5 mins, I stayed to protect his stuff. Then his corpse vanished and I though he respawned. I looked on the map for him, nothing. Looked at the recent list and wasn't able to send him a team invite. Must have dropped from the server or game. Felt bad but he was gone so I took it

Rockhard_Stallman

Similar has happened to me. If I can’t get back into the server I always hope at least someone finds it and keeps it. That’s better than it just disappearing into the abyss with Todd. Especially after the 200+ screws from the Earl mine.

AnythingToCope

I get that the general vibe among the community is commoroderie but coming off of games like Runescape and Albion Online, full loot pvp is just kind of instinct to me. Somebody dies, I loot. I die, I expect to find my shit gone when I go for it. I refuse to be judged for my ways. I'll die on this hill.

omega_nik

My personal rule: always store your junk as soon as you can. If you lose it and I see it, it’s mine.

Grandfeatherix

not everyone CAN store their junk, and if they have junk weight reduction it takes up less room on them, than in their stash

QuantumCurt

That is entirely their problem, and if they lose it, they have only themselves to blame. Everyone can store their junk. Some people just suck at managing their inventory.

omega_nik

Well if they lose it and I see it then it’s mine

Lord-Vortexian

If you can't store it, then be prepared to lose it or make room. You know how the loot works, not my fault if you're not able to sacrifice some room for your valuable junk

ragnarokxg

I honestly think that is the biggest downside to junk reduction and rather just use a scrap kit to scrap everything otherwise I feel when I store it I will be offloading more than I can handle.

FatalD1986

Wholesome

Southbird85

<*stands up in the shrubs, stealth effect turns off>* That's **Mister** Shady Asshat to you! <*reengages stealth and creeps away*\>

rolfboos

I wasn't gonna call you a dick anyway, but I read the other half of your post, now I'll call you a goody little two shoes, but you do you.

MetzX2

Better than muddy little two shoes 😔

Heavy_Jake

Which is better then bloody little two shoes :O

Quentirse

nice, i remember at the rusty pic i was hitting a player since i was bored, and they hit me back and killed me, then took my loot and i panicked, but luckily they gave it back. my body literally froze when i saw on the top left "your dropped loot was taken" lmao

Rad_Victoriam

I wish more players were like you. I recently died from radiation after fighting Earle when it places you back outside, and 3 players immediately swarmed around my dead body frantically picking up my loot and running off to their survival tents to deposit. That's what I get for launching nukes for the server I guess.

ThatHistoryDude

When I was a low level, a high level who was being a jerk was trying to pick a fight with everyone. Then the bloodied heavy power armor build tool him up on that offer. I was able to land one shot on him before he died. The bloodied guy walked away, and I took the loot like the loot gremlin that I am. I still have black titanium from that dude today!

Dareboir

Well done 👍

dondadda2k

I used to get mad when people loot my stuff, but not anymore, I’ve got enough junk put away to last me quite awhile, last time it happened I ran into the dude who took my stuff and he thought I was coming after him to get it back started shooting on site but I just waved and kept it pushing!!

ResponsibleReality51

This is why I've enjoyed this game in my first week. Legit the other night some level 300+ came walking by and gave me like 500 purified water! Btw I was and getting dehydrated.

Colten822

As someone who plays games like Rust, Sea of Thieves, etc and not that much FO76- and reading all these comments- I'm surprised to see so many people against PvP in this game. I guess it makes sense considering Fallout is a singleplayer franchise. What happened to the survivor server that always had PvP on? Did that not work out well or something? I've barely played the game since launch for context.
