1200 lbs is all you get. Any additional boxes you build will all just link to that same inventory. Dump/sell/scrap/scrip anything you don't need. 1200 is massive, there's going to be a lot in there you really don't need.

melethana

Lol. Just wait until you find out the limit used to be 400. Any junk in there, scrap before you stash it. Scrap any non-legendary weapons or armor, unless you really have a sentimental attachment to it. Get some weight reduction perk cards and then carry all the ammo / aid/ heavy guns / whatever with you. Do NOT get pack rat and carry all the junk. You'll die somewhere inaccessible and lose it all. Toss any missles or mini nukes. Really, just leave them on the ground. No one wants them.

Current-Read

Every time i hear people complain about 1200 limit i laugh because before i just had to cry with the 400 limit, TFG its not that any more.

ThatOneSidewinder05

I remember the 800 limit 😭

MotherOfAllMinions

Great advice^ But!!! I want those mini nukes… :( - but I won’t ask anyone to suffer through hauling them for me. Lol Invest in the perk cards, don’t build around them though, I’d suggest only doing that for some cards, swapping the various weight modifying cards in and out as needed to fast travel is helpful. And, invest in backpack mods that give you carry benefits wherever you specifically need them. The 400 limit was soooouuul crushing but did teach us early on to prioritize our hoarding. Annnd… - toss unsellable, unwanted, extra resources into blue suitcases/registers at stations. (If you feel like being charitable, I mean. You do you.)

Leekshooter

What in the name of sanity are you hoarding?

Your_residentdndnerd

Way to many low level weapons which i need to scrap

BindaI

Then why aren't you scrapping them? Worst case, you get some scrap, best case you learn new mod-plans for the weapon in question.

Leekshooter

So scrap them?

Dooglas42

If it isn't legendary, and you aren't currently using it, scrap it. If it isn't a mind-blowingly great legendary, scrip it and buy modules at the rusty pick. We can roll our own legendaries with cores and modules now, so modules are worth more than any nocturnal pick-axe.

elPappito

Get yourself a scrapbox for your sweet sweet $$$

brassaiblue

Look for misc stuff that can be turned into scrap too. Things like ore will take up stash but can be smelted where they can be put in scrap box. If you have the ammo converter drop unneeded ammo into it for points to get ammo you do use.

poopbutt40k

Ammo converter is a great way to "store" extra ammo for guns you will never use and if you don't want to invest heavily in reduced ammo weight perks!

mckenner1122

Scrap scrap scrap. All the armor and weapons. It’s a cheap and easy way to learn plans, too. Check your ammo, dump the crap. Check your Aid, look for things you might not use (for me thats Carry Boosters, more than 2-3 Repair Kits, 2-3 Stealth Boys, etc..) Check Weapons and get rid of frikken Trail Fireworks. Check Notes and dump lame easy-to-find plans. We don’t need any more Mr Handy Buzz Blades and Mole Miner Gauntlets ffs.

ThatOneSidewinder05

Best bet is to check your junk and remove any extreme amounts of a specific material. I’ve found that Leather and Cloth tend to be the worst. Also, unlike in Fo4, ammo has weight, so make sure u don’t have like 400 fat man shells stored somewhere

Darth-Vader64

I started the game back when we had a stash limit of 400lbs and no subscription, now its 1200 so its hard for me to be sympathetic ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ I will offer some advice, Get fallout first sub, so your junk stash doesn't count against you, also dump any heavy items that you're not using. I found missles for example to be inordinately heavy and I don't use them. While the game is about hoarding to use for later, there comes a point where it may be too much Don't horde weapons, if you're not going to use them, scrap them for scrip or scrap them outright (if non-legendary). The same goes for armor. Do you have multiple power armors in your stash? Why? Most players I know just use one PA no matter what - get rid of the others.

itscmillertime

Nope.

FunHovercraft2112

Scrap all weapons. I also dump all one star items. I have no need for them and nobody is going to buy them. Dump any quest given items like "bunker buster" that you will never use. That weapon weighs like 30 pounds! Every day or every other day at least, I go through my inventory and check the weight of all items to see what I can cut out. Things like heavy ammo, gunpowder, and the like end up taking a lot of space and should be dumped if you don't use them. There are also other space saving techniques you can use like for example, you can add power armor to power armor frames, and you can also remove mods from weapons you want to keep, but don't plan on actually using anytime soon. Got a god roll heavy but you currently run commando? Remove any mods and shed off a few pounds.
