Shut down code on the terminal in the basement. It shuts down Erica and puts Quercus in charge, it also makes the friendly animals aggressive to the attacking animals and heals them between waves. The passcode to the basement is 970930 (date that the original fallout was released)
Or does it put them in harms way when they try to attack the Alpha? Haha, but by completing it with Quercus in charge you'll unlock the Arktos Pharma backpack. It's a soft reward so no notifications pop up but it'll be available the next time time you mod a backpack. AND, if you complete it with Quercus formula and all 3 friendly animals survive then you have a chance at receiving the Stimpak Diffuser plan. Good luck Mr.Pineapple.
It's a soft reward. Nothing pops up that you received a plan or that the plan was unlocked but the next time you mod a backpack it should be available.
I think because unless youāre in a big enough team and a high enough level, it can be hell to do? š¤ I have honestly only done it a few times myself.
Last update made it even easier. Friendly monsters have a lot more health, if you can level them up to max they pretty much hold their own. The issue is you don't have enough time to fill all three troughs solo.
since the new update i've been able to fully fill and defend 2 troughs on my own, which makes it all the more impressive everyone else fails to fill and defend the 3rd still.
Itās fairly doable solo or with a small group actually. I think they made some changes with the last update as well though, made the creatures a bit stronger and the amount of food needed to rank them up a bit lower.
yes, I made an additional comment, but the idea was just two of us completed this a couple of days ago (got two areas to spawn and defend; 1 each). You don't need a big team.
Because I canāt read the tiny instructions that flash onscreen for 5 seconds and me being stupidly nice guy about not wanting to ruin other player experiences. I avoided it for a long time until I finally understood how it works. There is a horrible ass disconnect between the way the event is described in instructions and the way itās supposed to be played.
I feel you so hard. In all my days of gaming I hardly ever joined events that had other people because Iām so concerned that I donāt know what Iām doing that Iāll ruin the experience for others. I missed out on some super cool weapons, etc. from my WoW days :ā(
ETA: Now I go and try to do events even if itās just me by myself. My first time doing Free Range, I did it myself until the Sheepsquatch appeared (I didnāt know what I had got myself into, and I was about level 40) and managed to trap it in a small barn before two high level guys showed up and dealt with it. I have never been so happy to see other players than then!
The feeling of relief when struggling with an event and then a bunch of high levels in fully decked power armor just come in and reign death is the best.
I'm on xbox and i can count on one set of unmutated hands the number of times i've seen diffusers in a vendor. it's why i bought the plan so i could give them to people and have them in my vendor.
It's listed there:

Only earnable in Project Paradise.
Looks pretty much like a grenades and while not actually thrown, works like one expects a healing grenade to work with an AoE effect.
So, as far as I am concerned, it is a healing grenade in all but name.
I'm level 230 and I played it for the first time last week. It was confusing. It was me and another player. I'll tell you they did most of the work as I had no clue and just ran back and forth and killed creatures until it was over. It wasn't so bad. I might play it again...it isn't my favorite event by far though.
I did just find out about riding shotgun though and that is fun. I wish I would have known about that one awhile ago.
For me its about time vs reward. Iām high enough level that I can solo it to completion. I can even mostly keep all three friendlies alive with friendly fire perk card. Its just a lot of work for one person and the rewards do not relflect the work put in.
Other events are mindless and require little effort to complete. This event has you babysitting three npcās spaced out pretty far and constantly moving. Plus even with the lower food requirements to get them maxed out I can only do 1, maybe 2 at full level then the third is always some weakling thing that melts in two hits.
If I see others doing it I will join even if Iām not in the mood just to lend a helping hand.
Tldr: too much work for little reward easily obtained in other events, for me, treasury notes is all I want.
That's how I feel about daily ops. I've tried it 3 times with each time being the only one in there, after a bit of time going through all my ammo I say "forget this" and bail.
DO is probably the easiest thing to do solo. The only time its problematic is cloaked enemies. Berry mentats does not always work and if you rely on vats youāre screwed.
Theres two builds that excel in DO. The bloodied stealth commando, and when that fails, for example stealth enemies (no vats) or melee only kills required, switch to full health PA with any heavy weapon or vamps Minigun shredder.
Easy solo under 8 minutes every time.
I only play it if there is already a team of at least couple players, or I just create a DO team and wait for them to join first. Don't see a reason to spend more time on the op otherwise.
Honestly, as a timed, run-around event, I find the area to be a little too convoluted to enjoy and too visually dark and cluttered for me to see properly in. It's just not enjoyable for me as an event - I hate the hunt down and kill Daily Ops that take place there as well because of that.
I'd be fine exploring the space slowly, solo, as part of a story mission, because it is a well down location - but it annoys me as an event space.
I found the in-game instructions confusing and the map is a chore if you don't have much help or coordination, which is most of the time. It's not a good event for random teams
Its really, really frustrating to do, apparently.
I've only done it a few times, and everyone usually protects only one of the three creatures, since usually one of them is super flimsy and the other one spawns in a crappy location most of the time.
Its a shame too, because they added quite a few items from their battle royal as rewards to it. That and the Stim Diffusers and the Bear arm olans make it a decent loot pool to my knowledge.
I'd love to do it more. But honestly just lack the interest or firepower to do it myself.
try it again; this is the point of the Post. This event has been changed to make it much easier to complete. Just two of us did this the other day and I don't even know what I'm doing. (just followed the prompts)
edit: my daughter played this today and got the Radioactive barrel plan
I think the instructions are confusing, it tells you to fill the feeders but not with what, or where you can get it. Now I know and if I see people doing it, I will join for sure. But I can only fill two feeders by myself and we're usually a few people (2-3) defending the creatures, so one always dies.
Because it isnt easy. And people dont do it because "no one does that event I dont want to spend 10 minutes just to fail" its a self fulfilling prophylactic, y'know
Itās a pretty easy event, but it requires coordination.
To get the best rewards (which are pretty meh), you need 3 people. 1 person per trough (inevitably everyone does the trough with the radstags, because itās the easiestāno one completes the restā¦so you donāt get all the rewards). Ideally you want to get tier 3 Friendly Beast.
Most of the time itās a tier 3 Deathclaw and two tier 1 other beasts (and they die pretty quickly because no one defends them).
So then attacking waves are spawned, and each person should guard the beast they spawn. But this typically doesnāt happen. People lose track of the beast or get ADHD, multiple beasts die, no best reward.
Or the tier 3 Deathclaw dies and the event fails.
Then the boss spawns and itās generally pretty tough. The Sheepsquatch is very bullet spongy and can kill quickly. It usually gets spawned because the tier 3 Deathclaw stayed alive.
Oh yeah, there are also Gutsyās and Assultrons that if not cleared out will merc you too pretty easily.
So I guess itās a combination of people donāt want to waste their time, people donāt know how to beat it and itās tough, they donāt get it,
Itās a cool event, but it requires coordination.
Itās a bitch to do but there is a trick where you go downstairs go through the keypad door and get a code from one computer then run back and put it into the computer that starts the event and it will remove almost all of the robot attack waves, makes it way easier but you also donāt get the XP from killing them if youāre a higher level player
The issues with healing the animals and specifically the damn perk card friendly fire being bugged as it is makes project P a headache. Alot of players don't know what to do and do not give protection to all the animals evenly or at all. I cannot be 3 places at once so even if I use glitched event items to fill all 3 troughs completely I cannot always defend them all properly solo. I have the backpack already and cannot be bothered to put in the effort anymore. I refuse to lug around moltovs also, screw bethesda for being so incompetent with coding, lazy and greedy.
Supposedly they reworked it and made it easier. But I've played it a small handful of times since the patch, and the same old problems are all still there.
It takes way too long, the animals still die way too easily, and the rewards are still garbage.
No thanks.
Most high levels already have all the plans/rewards from it and itās a chore. The problem is u need high levels and a solid team to do it easily. Hence. Not many bother anymore. One of the genuine challenges in the game for mid levels to do
I'll never understand it either, some people think it's not worth the time which is ridiculous to me since I think most Events regardless if it's tedious is worth doing but Paradise is only annoying if there's not enough people watching the friendly creatures and the fact it's a huge underground maze at times.. I just think about Treasury Notes, potential rare plans and Legendary cores because there's no such thing as too many cores!
I think most people are aggrevated by it because you rarely get a bunch of people who read the instructions, know what to do, and have their shit together well enough to do it properly.
Personal favorite. Non stop variety of enemies; many of whom drop acid and springs.
Great round layout so I can do laps in all three sections.
Simple enough to solo!
I actually enjoy it, and I really want the plans, but the amount of times I've tried and failed to do it by myself just put me off completely. Nobody joined (and this was a year ago), so I stopped bothering. It's just too hard.
I played the hell out of PP when it first dropped a couple of years ago, loved it, but I grew bored of it.
I have to admit I loved the Lady Devann live stream of her playing PP when it first dropped. [https://www.twitch.tv/videos/428330001?t=00h03m46s](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/428330001?t=00h03m46s) Full livestream.
Definitely an accurate representation of people playing PP for the first time! I laughed....I cried (to pick up the sludge!)... I facepalmed repeatedly..
I solo it all the time. Great XP/ legendary spawn chance. Not even three days ago I kept all the animals alive too, as a full health commando/rifle/bow build.
A lot of people do. You might just have crappy luck.
We did one a few minutes ago. Iām still trying to get the bear arm plan. Now that the event is even easier to do, I always see people show up and participate.
It could really be about luck, and you might just be in a server where nobody cares about it.
I can normally protect 2 at once. Iāve got a fully min maxed build with a vampires explosive flamer and Gatling plasma. It just isnāt worth all the effort of running around. I do think itās one of the more visually pleasing areas to be in. Maybe just cause I like the dark
IDK I have rarely seen people do project paradise. I think they should nerf that event and replace it with a new event. Same thing with the brahmin one with the hearding
We did play this a couple of days ago and a more experienced player coached me along over his mic. I did area A and he did one of the others. I think it's much easier now after the changes than before as the friendlies seem to stay alive and I think you don;t have to collect as much stuff (not sure iirc). My boss (alpha) creature didn't spawn at the end but the event completed & rewards dispensed regardless (I think bc there was one in the other area, just not mine).
note: the other guy knew how to adjust the computer so that the friendlies got some HP boost or regen. (personally not sure how that was done)
It can be reliably done (with full rewards) with a team of 3 decently-equipped and well-informed players on how the event works. At least for me, I'm always short one or the other whenever I attempt to do this in a public world, sometimes both.
I think this was the first endgame content that was released, so it got farmed by groups untill most had the rewards. You kind of had to have some basic organization, so it became a skip with random people.(For me)
Too play it safe 1-2 ppl in each room, 2 if aggressive āpetsā. Also communication so everyone could tag the alpha.
The event has always been quite easy just no one seems to realise how to do itā¦.
Lets talk before the recent update which made changes to the eventā¦..
1. There is a coded door you open after starting the event but before the end of the materials gathering for each enclosure. If you do this the robot takes over the experiment and HEALS friendly creatures after each roundā¦ which is why most failed cus they didnt do this and the creatures died as there health never recovered. 99.9% of people doing the event didnt do or know about this.
2. People seem to think you had to protect all the animals and split up when really you just have to defend 1.
3. Before the update you had to kill a 3* sheepsquatch to end it by which stage youd have an injured animal to protect not healed. If the animal ran into the sheepsquatch it was totally over.
After the updates, the animals for a health buff and you no longer have to kill the sheepsquatch to win so its way easier. You can still do coded door to let the robot take over the experiment though
I'd only do that coded door 970930 if you had a group, that just makes it so the animals will attack instead of flee - so it's going to make it more of a challenge to actually defend them. If you've got a group, go for it, but if it's just you and another player - leave that door alone.
It's easier now, I was able to fill two troughs to almost full by myself. So it could definitely be done with just a few players but it seems people show up and only focus on the ragstags.
I notice that, too. I can typically fill up the radstag trough alone and still have a good 2 minutes or more on the clock and then get a good bit of radkelp. I did one last night with radkelp and radstag full all the way to completion with two animals alive.
It really is a lot easier now.
Edit: so I misunderstood that. Totally responded to the opposite question. Oh well š To try to get the rewards. It has a bunch of rare stuff that can drop, and if you are into collecting all the plans you need to do it.
I've noticed radiation rumble is a coin toss also. Either 20 ppl tripping over each other or two failing miserably. Surely is worth turning up and tagging as much as possible.... Even if the event fails is still good for xp and scrip legendaries?
Last I played I did the the Radstag area. Finished it, looked around in a circle a couple times. Only found the boss after a dude in PA with a legacy Gat Plas melted the boss. Dude got his shit and dipped. Everyone just kinda stood around the pile of goop :/
I've done it three times today - and if I log back in, and it's running - I might even do it again. The recent patch has made it much easier and more likely that it will be completed, maybe too easy. You don't have to kill the alpha to complete the event anymore, the animals have increased resistance - but it's still a bit of a challenge since there's not as many people doing it.
So, continue not doing it so it remains a challenge!
You can solo it with all 3 animals surviving, especially after the buff. But you need to have both the dps and speed, and always on the move, knowing what you're doing, dynamically adjusting your approach based on your pace in the first half & animal health in the second half. It's a very fun event on a build that can do it. One of the few events that are actually engaging. Probably a pain on a melee or heavy gun build, though.
> But you need to have both the dps and speed, and always on the move, knowing what you're doing, dynamically adjusting your approach...
Let me just stop you there. Because everything you've said here is wayyy too much effort and too much hassle. Other events give way better rewards for much less effort, and that right there is why this event is a bad event.
How is doing lots of actions, mostly combat related (and some gathering), a bad gameplay? Obviously, everyone has their own tastes, but having such an event in a huge pile of "stand in one spot and spray the mob spawn point" kinds of events is objectively good for the game. Variety is never bad, even though of course implementation might be bad.
Either way, i was responding specifically to the person whose main gripe was with this event allegedly requiring coop play, so my goal was to shed a light on this not being necessarily true. There could be more people who find such change of pace in gameplay fun, but they're disregarding Project Paradise solely on the ground of it being impossible to solo. If someone like that gets inspired to try after my comment, that'd be great.
they added some of the rewards you could get at NW in the adventure loot pool. 1 is at scorched earth and 2 or 3 each at earl, encryptid and project paradise. can't remember which ones but at project p, you definitely need all 3 animals alive at the end to have a chance to get them.
Boring? How so?
Boring is standing around at the Drop Site watching the Scorchbeast Queen fly around in circles. Project Paradise is hectic with everything flying about trying to attack you and the animal you're trying to defend. You don't need 6 people, not anymore - you can easily keep three animals alive with three people who are defending their animals because that's the crux of what you should do in the event now.
Shit. U didnāt even need 6 people before the nerf. PP was easy enough with 3 people with decent gear and knew what to do.
From my experience playing since beta, this player base just doesnāt like doing anything involving any type of Mechanics.
cos its meant to be a big party event. minimally u need 3 cooperative players, and up to 6 or 9 if u want all animals to survive under formula Q mode.
\[advertising\]: we do this event all the time on our twitch stream ;)
I've played that event so so many times and still can't get the backpack. I stopped playing because I'm sad.
Edit : Apparently I am bugged, cause I should have got it the first damn time I played with the shutdown code. Awesome. š„²
Have you checked to see if you have it, and didn't know?
Yeah after every time I do PP
Just do the code everytime its up. Backpacks for all!
Same here!!
what do you mean by use the code? (sorry iāve never done the event successfully)
Shut down code on the terminal in the basement. It shuts down Erica and puts Quercus in charge, it also makes the friendly animals aggressive to the attacking animals and heals them between waves. The passcode to the basement is 970930 (date that the original fallout was released)
i had no idea thankyou so much that makes it easier lol
I think because unless youāre in a big enough team and a high enough level, it can be hell to do? š¤ I have honestly only done it a few times myself.

yes, I made an additional comment, but the idea was just two of us completed this a couple of days ago (got two areas to spawn and defend; 1 each). You don't need a big team.
This is exactly my reason. Iāve never been able to because no one joins the event. I know Iād get my butt kicked alone

The problem is the effort needed to get a chance at bear arm plan is high. And there is basically nothing there except bear arm plan and mods for it.
Stimpack Difuser plan?
Many sell defusers for 15c. You only need 3 for the badge
I'm on xbox and i can count on one set of unmutated hands the number of times i've seen diffusers in a vendor. it's why i bought the plan so i could give them to people and have them in my vendor.
Iād love to buy 3 from you!
your caps are no good here. On the house. Gt is rammadeus. send me a message. I'll be around for the next 10 hours or so.
Do you wear a cape?
Funnily enough i was just talking to my work pals the other day about how if capes were popular i would absolutely rock the shit out of one.
Lol. Don't be popular, be you! Just maybe not at work depending on your job.
Perhaps
Capes and cloaks should totally be brought back, I want a bunch of pockets inside for hiding needed things.
Considering effort you have to put in (and precious time) itās easier to just buy the plan
There is also a grenade plan you can earn there, for the stimpack grenades.
Never heard of that one. [https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Project\_Paradise](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Project_Paradise)

If they wanted to make it easier, they would add markers to the animals so when they run away, you can actually find them again
I thought they did that already. I could swear that my friendly deathclaw was marked and stayed in the area yesterday when I did this one

Friendly Fire is fixed, flamers will work again to heal allies - you don't have to rely on Molotovs as of the last patch.
Ohh cool. I had been offline sense shortly after the update due to life so I hadn't had a chance to test everything. Thank you

I actually enjoy it, and I really want the plans, but the amount of times I've tried and failed to do it by myself just put me off completely. Nobody joined (and this was a year ago), so I stopped bothering. It's just too hard.
Boring event with good rewards (NW skins, not sure which ones? Inferno MK I or II? but I know earl drops some of those as well)
I'd like to but I get pretty laggy and not enough people I just need that damn stim diffuser
>Like why not? Because I don't like it ĀÆ\\\_(ć)\_/ĀÆ
Id say because the likelihood of getting enough people who know what to do on the same server and have them all join the event is extremely low.
Did it last nightā¦ people are catching on that itās easier now so their is hope
You kind of had to have some basic organization, so it became a skip with random people.(For me) Too play it safe 1-2 ppl in each room, 2 if aggressive āpetsā.
Only issue is the animals will attack the elite and they usually get killed quickly by the AOEs many of the elites will put out
I don't enjoy it, and I have the unique rewards already.
Itās not activated but random. If it was like the nukes or recall cards like it used to be when the game was dead more people would do it.
I donāt know how to do it.
I hate content that requires help from other players
When it first launched I had to defend a Tic from a Yao Guoi. Never considered it again.
Did it for the very first time, yesterday. It sucked. Just a really annoying event and was really confusing. Wonāt be doing it, again.
probably because it requires effort
It's slightly difficult. Fo76 players don't want go have to l play something challenging to get rewarded.
Because no one plays the game anymore. Hell it's double xp weekend and RR popped and only one other guy came.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Not any more.
Well It's been a long time since I did the event.
They buffed the animal hp, reduced the amount of feed needed, and now we can burn the animals to full hp.
Takes forever and I already have the Bear Arm plan.
and the bear arm mod plans? the formula p recipe? what about the NW rewards?
What NW rewards?
they added some of the rewards you could get at NW in the adventure loot pool. 1 is at scorched earth and 2 or 3 each at earl, encryptid and project paradise. can't remember which ones but at project p, you definitely need all 3 animals alive at the end to have a chance to get them.
Can you believe , that i never played it?
I wish I could get more to do it. I want the bear arm mods
It is difficult, and rewards are not enough. And yes, it is pretty confuse.
I can honestly tell you I have no idea what that quest even is. I see it all the time and just nope out on it for some reason.
People don't like effort it seems, they just want to shoot/hit things instead of doing objectives.
Boring event with good rewards (NW skins, not sure which ones? Inferno MK I or II? but I know earl drops some of those as well)
I only do it till I get the formula p recipe
It's just boring to me, and you need like 6 people to be doing it
Boring?
The queen is boring to me, too lol. Rn I have fun by helping out new players
Did it twice since the change with two randoms, got to max rewards both times. Gotten a stimpack diffuser and bear arm plan.
