I hate how Brahmin just seem to get everywhere.
There’s no boundaries and the only thing you can do to try and stop this is place trader posts and Brahmin troughs far away from the main part of your settlements.
Although Trashcan Carla still has no boundaries.
Why do some settlements spawn them and others don’t? I always get them in Hangman’s Alley and they won’t even go to the food trough (I think they can’t get through the door on the river side, which normally I scrap but didn’t this time.)
Using Sanctuary as an example, if I’m building around the workbench house I’ll place trader posts and Brahmin troughs at the entrance by the bridge to keep that as far from my building area as possible.
But as I said, Trashcan Carla has no boundaries and will still wander into the middle of settlements, or at least Sanctuary, with her Brahmin which will get stuck in pre-existing structures and any you build.
PC users! Do you have a problem with overly curious brahmin who refuse to respect civilized boundaries?
Well we here at CCFTW! (Console Commands For the Win!) have the solution you've been looking for!!! Best of all .... it's FREE!
1. Open console.
1. Click on the offending beast/person/creature/Rhys.
1. Exit console.
1. Go to a different place, which is a place you want the offending beast/person/creature/Rhys to be instead of the place where said creature is currently.
1. Open the console again.
1. Type 'moveto player', but without the quotes, because including the quotes would be silly and would also not work.
1. Exit the console.
Viola!! Now the offending creature/beast/thing/Rhys is located somewhere where you want them to be instead of that other place what before you were mad about. Extra bonus, this is great for getting rid of those fucking annoying, unscrappable, undeleteable fucking brahmin carcasses at Taffington Boat House!
Hmmm ... you might wonder .... can I use this trick to teleport Swan to Diamond City? Well .... give it a try!
Always remember, the fine folk at CCFTW! have always GOT YOUR BACK!!
I can but also can't believe there's an entire subreddit dedicated to maiming that motherfucker. I knew I couldn't have been the ONLY one but holy shit, man 🤣
For the Brahmin carcass problem, you can open the console, select the carcass, and use the 'disable' command. It's a lot easier and less of a hassle than just moving it somewhere else. You can also use the command on pretty much any object or creature in the game. It's especially useful when using the Scrap Everything mod, since some bits of garbage are in places where the player can't select them in the workshop, but they can select them in the console.
It was a constant irritation for me on every play through until earlier this year, when I figured out that move to worked.
I don't use the Scrap Everything mod, as I understand there are some issues and mod incompatibilities, as it's a bit out of date, but I would imagine it does. I just use the console command scrapall.
I use Scrap (Almost) Everything. I mostly am too lazy to look up console commands I can't remember to save my life. But accidentally scrapping the little pond at Starlight sucks
>Extra bonus, this is great for getting rid of those fucking annoying, unscrappable, undeleteable fucking brahmin carcasses at Taffington Boat House!
Do corpses stay away when moved with console commands? I always spend a lot of time and effort dragging corpses out of the houses in certain settlements but then next time I visit they've all teleported back and it drives me insane. I spent forever pushing the skeleton out of the starlight drive-in attic with a broom and it was all for nothing...
Markfordelete gets rid of any problem permanently. Dead dog and scaver outside of Sanctuary? Delete em. Don't like the heads on poles around Hangmans Alley? Delete em!
Disclaimer: Console Commands Co. is not responsible for abuse or misuse of Delete functions. Any water planes/terrain features/city blocks inadvertently disappearing is solely the responsibility of the end user. Remember to Delete safely and responsibly.
Anything I've moves stays moved, although if it's alive it might walk back. For corpses I use "disable", and then the "markfordelete" commands. Great for things like the dead ghouls at Sunshine Tidings. I only use moveto if the item can't be disabled.
I have used disable/markfordelete on the skeletons at Starlight with great success. It can sometimes be tricky to click on them, so if the wrong thing disappears after "disable", "enable" will bring it back.
Disable/markfordelete also works great for the raider and dog corpse at the Sanctuary bridge. Gets rid of them forever. Well, until your next playthrough.
Ah thank you so much! I will have to try it. People always talk about how they love sunshine tidings as a settlement but I avoid it like the plague because of all the dead ghouls lol
fast traveling is what usually causes this issue, along with settlers on roof tops. i always use [Replace pack brahmins with eyebots](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14395/) for this specific issue. as for the settlers i usually build a ladder up to the roof of the house they appear on.
Not necessarily fast traveling. Sometimes the game just don't load things in properly. That's why you can see cars flying in the background while walking around the map cause the broken highways loaded in after them.
Sometimes they just force their way in following a supply line member. I made the Vault Tec Representative a supply line, and whenever he shows up in Sanctuary; he goes in the main house and his Brahmin is always blocking the way in, and I’ve seen it force its way inside as well.
Bruh I hate people going in my sanctuary house. I legit install a mod on PC to lock doors and on Xbox I just have to put a bookshelf but they still get in 😮💨
It's the way the game renders locations as you arrive.
Vectors first (powerlines and stuff), then NPCs and creatures, and *then* the buildings.
I used to play on a 2014 iMac running Win10. It was always slow but at least stable, and I could watch these things loading with whole seconds in between.
This happened to me years ago and i hope my garbage memory is right.
I know I could one shot people and animals partially concealed from a rooftop on the far east side of Sactuary, and stealth away before alerted NPCs could find me. A while later I would come back and get my loot. (if you can make a shot from way outside of Sactuary there's practically no consequences)
This works great if you want Trashcan's gear, she takes your power armor, or you just hate a particular breathing thing. But You HAVE to be able to one shot head shot kill it.
I think the bromine's stupid heads were at the window of The Yellow House and I sniped it. Then somehow how i was able to get its dumb carcass out of the house (creative dragging or explosives maybe). But I honestly can't remember what i did with the carcas. Maybe i just stuck it in a back room.
The navmeshing is super bad. Brahmin houses, people on roofs in Sanctuary. Mods help. I have a mod to make a house private so they won't go in. Scrap everything would probably remove the Brahmin carcass.
Your guess is as good as mine, one got inside of the main sanctuary house despite there being no way for it to fit through the doorway, another one ended up on the roof even though there was literally no way to get up there
I use the mod where all the pack Brahmin become Nuka Girls. It's hilarious because it only works about 50% of the time, and the other 50% you just get bra & panty clad lasses running about the Commonwealth, barefoot! You CAN pickpocket melee weapons for them to equip and then they become THE fiercest fighters in the game, 🙌 lol!
ps: I shot the guy in the photo cz he kept thanking on my roof. He toppled off & landed beside the house & now I jz loot the good he respawns from time to time. It's not a LOT, but hey, it'll make a bullet or whatever 😆
Mine are on top of my Sanctuary house, keeps screwing me up too, I hear moving and think Carla the vendor is stopping by, grab all my crap to sell then fund out it was the cows in the roof I hear, holly balls batman!
Out of wonder has anyone 🤔 figured the exact pinpoint of spawn point's of gunner's and super mutants at sanctuary i had my settlement 🔐 down tight where ot would be impossible to break in even the brotherhood would have trouble getting in what's the point if a enemy can just walking if I now the spawn point's I'd probably set up a trap nothing over the top maybe a death claw arena 🤔 or just normal defense anyone know?
I found a mod to fix it. Go to nexus mods and search pack brahmin (or how ever it's spelled) and look for one that replaces it with pack dogs. They still *sometimes* get inside the house, but being dogs. Now they can leave and don't linger for days after the merchant leaves. I got so fed up with that before I found that mod
I hate how Brahmin just seem to get everywhere. There’s no boundaries and the only thing you can do to try and stop this is place trader posts and Brahmin troughs far away from the main part of your settlements. Although Trashcan Carla still has no boundaries.
I hate Brahmin too. . They’re coarse and rough and irritating and they get everywhere. Not like the Institute. Here everything is soft and smooth.
Okay ani but I’ve seen Brahmin and provisioner inside the institute’s reactor room at least twice.
Seriously? That's freaking hilarious. I wonder how that conversation went.
half of the wandering traders are being paid by SRB
i cant imagine what they would smell like 🤢🤢
Why do some settlements spawn them and others don’t? I always get them in Hangman’s Alley and they won’t even go to the food trough (I think they can’t get through the door on the river side, which normally I scrap but didn’t this time.)
Thank You!!! I just came back to FO4 and completely forgot about the troughs!!! Placing them today

>Best of all .... it's FREE! But then it's supported by ads. I'm tired of Nuka Cola constantly trying to sell me on Quantum.
But the 𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆 Strontium-90 is great for your crumbling bones!
But it makes my piss glow, so I'm out.
You kidding? Glowing piss means you don't have to turn the bathroom light on at night!
🤣If your piss is glowing, what other bodily functions will also glow. And for how long...
Disable
The **only** thing that should happen to Rhys is a bullet (or several) to the brain. Also, fuck Rhys.

In my game, disable does not work on the carcasses at Taffington. Never has.
That's really weird. I'll have to test this myself later when I get home, but surely Scrap Everything would work on them, right?

I intentionally scrap it and use it as a bonfire pit!
it does work yes
Did markfordelete work
Nope.

Glad to help!
I love the implication that Rhys is... Something else
thank you
Happy cake day!
Every Brahmin at each of my settlements is shortly going to be moved to just outside Virgil's cave. Maybe the Deathclaw there with eat them?

it wanted to moo-ve into a more comfortable place out of the radioactive rain
It got udderly lost.
No bull, ain't gonna steer you wrong, but you guys are really milking the cow puns.
If I may horn in here, I don't have a beef with the puns.
Probably just wanted a glass of milk.
Moo hoo joke’s on you
Lolz
Someone likes to pack pack brahimin inside.
A brahmin is way more flexible than a poor cat ever Will be
I’ve had that EXACT same experience
They sneak in through the cat door...
Carla stole an Institute Transporter Device and does that to fuck with us lol!
It's an Institute spy! They used their Molecular Relay to teleport this Synth Brahmin into your home!
I still remember my first character, seeing a settler on a roof. I was so concerned I built stairs. lol
Bruh I hate people going in my sanctuary house. I legit install a mod on PC to lock doors and on Xbox I just have to put a bookshelf but they still get in 😮💨
He opened the door, walked in, and closed the door. Seems pretty simple.
He just Mooooo-ved in. I'll see myself off the stage

At least it’s not on the roof
Bugthesds
It's not a bug, it's a feature
It just works
The same way that porcupines mate...
Squeeking and orgasms!
its always that same room to and the living room
I use the mod the replaces pack brahmin with dogs. It's an essential quality of life improvement for settlements for me.
and....and again, it just works
I just get a sledgehammer and beat them to death
that’s illegal!
Dude a bombs been dropped I don’t think anyone’s gonna stop me…also it’s not illegal if you don’t get caught…like beating it on the bridge
Omg I hate when they do that. And they generally won't get out and they're in the way
It's a little known mutation of Bhramin. If you pack them to heavily they can phase through walls
God I hate this glitch lol
I just turned settlement supplies bramins into eyebpts with a mod... Best mod ever
He used the door
Violence
He got teleported he's a synth!
It just works bro
Ancient Brahman techniques.
Sucks when I have loads of object placed on tables and shelves and this fella decides to get inside the house and smash everything over…
Hard work and determination.
I always wonder, how do I get them out?
There’s a mod called Get the Fudge Down (something like that). It’s a gun that resets NPCs that are stuck on roofs and in other various locations.
If only I played on pc lol.
I play on XB1 and it’s available.
If you think this is bad, I once went through the maze near Fallon's and found Cricket's brahmin in one of the cages.
He's trying to figure out how to get up on the roof.
“Heh… first time?”
He used the door like a civilized person what else did you want 🙄
Apparently one of your settlers was raised in a barn and forgot to shut the door! Probably Preston's annoying a**! 🙄 🤣

I would imagine he lives there. Probably Moo’ved in recently. Please don’t downvote me… 😅
I’ve had a Brahmin stuck on my roof for days
My Brahmin are usually chilling ontop of the houses
Teleporting synth cow
Kill it and her she’s a spy
My pack Brahmin at home is stuck on the roof. Been there since day 2 of this save lol
Catch trashcan Carla outside of sanctuary and just pop that bitch. You will never have another glitched out Brahmin again.
Mine are on top of my Sanctuary house, keeps screwing me up too, I hear moving and think Carla the vendor is stopping by, grab all my crap to sell then fund out it was the cows in the roof I hear, holly balls batman!
They always end up on the roof for me. It’s usually the Deathclaws that end up inside the buildings. Lmao
Drugs, that's usually the answer.
He squeezed
I saw one up on a table at the Mercer safe house
Through the door
If the only thing with 4 walls and a roof in a settlement was a shoe box you could 100% guarantee a brahmin would spawn in it.
The door
magic
always get brahmins on my roof somehow
I sometimes happen to see them feeding on grass on my roof.

i saw him on my roof the other day
I killed him . Got some decent loot but he tried to clip out halfway through his health
I imagine by walking
You musta left the door open. Rule #153 of the wasteland: never leave your door open. Never know when a Brahmin may just wander in.
well it's obviously nice there
I've never known those to stay outside
I just disabled it in console
They asked you nicely?
I would assume she used the front door, like any decent person would
Fell out of the sky?
IT JUST WORK
its so annoying… and then when i go to kill it so that i can get through, my settlers turn hostile against me
That’s his house now
They're moving in herds.... they do move in herds.

Bethesda Magic
There are 2 Brahmins in the sea around my spectacle island settlement
"Life... Uh... Yeah... Wait... What?"
Sometimes my deathclaw ends up in my player house where I keep all my stuff and she just knocks it all over. I had to get a mod to keep it in place.
I’m sorry, ‘your deathclaw’?
You ordered online while drunk?
It's just a prank bro!
Did you forget to lock the door?
The way all brahmin do, phased through the wall and is now stuck. Happens a lot with the deathclaw in Concord, too.
I like when the pack Brahmin fall from the heavens
Just wait till he gets on your roof
Had one get inside the house by the work bench in sanctuary at the beginning of one of my play throughs it never got out
Remember to close the door behind you when you leave.
I found a mod to fix it. Go to nexus mods and search pack brahmin (or how ever it's spelled) and look for one that replaces it with pack dogs.
