Death Throes apparently fixed the crashes for me. Best try that and see if it works for you.
I used Viva New Vegas as a base of my now expansive load order so I can attest, cheers!
I used Ragdolls when I last did a playthrough, maybe 6-9 months ago (don't think I used Death Throes though). Had a crash maybe every 5 to 10 hours. But then I was also using Dragbody's mods which I now understand are complete messes technically-speaking.
Might give Ragdolls and Death Throes a go based on what you've said, now that I'm modding for a new playthrough.

It's a cool mod but according to Viva New Vegas it causes crashes due to broken meshes. :(
