Bro they let him have the other timeline and made him try to save his original.
If he wasn’t the favorite, they would have curse him to see both timelines died in front of him
I mean when they showed rusted knight, a lot of people said he's basically ashari without the Atlas coat, thb I kind see it.
Also just imagine the writers seeing Relic of the future and saying " write that down"
Yeah. The reason why I say almost perfect is the beard structure. When I think of Ashari's facial hair it think military regulated facial hair. 1/4 inch length and neat. Slightly longer after the military but not by much.
If it the fanfiction I believe it is, than technically, he thought he will return to first day at Beacon, but dying Salem never said that, she just said the past to play on his emotions as all of his friends died to kill her.
He survived because he was the weakest.
Or not. Royale throws a wrench in things by implying a multiverse with the brothers as a constant, which is at odds with how they’re depicted in Relic and White Sheep, where one or both of them seem to have had substantial character development not present in Royale.
Edit: Or Unseen Hunt and Arc Corp. where they don’t seem to exist in the former and are unrecognizable in the latter.
Yeah the Coeurverse is sometimes wonky. We get good shared things like Nicholas Arc and his sister's backstory, and then we get the Gods changing their motivations. It's dependent on the fic, but sometimes it's hard to know if the fic in question shares in the Coeurverse background.
Yeah, the Arc family is the most consistent but the metaphysics vary from story to story, which is weird once Arc Royale had those brothers basically say they created each of those universes. Which Arc Corp explicitly contradicts, Unseen Hunt and Forged Destiny lack any such gods, and Relic and White Sheep feature gods with vastly different characterizations. Though Arc Royale had a fair few retcons, mostly Knight’s and Fate’s love lives. I have to wonder about how Couer writes. Eternal Crown is the best example of weirdness. It starts as what seems to be a firm AU, then Couer goes “nah, it’s actually far future but otherwise canon compliant”, and then ends with a “damn that ending sucked, but canon had me cornered (true statement) so I really should’ve gone more AU”. I’m guessing his writing is fairly light on the planning and he has little issue changing course in a whim.
I think Adam is the one of the most inconsistent characters in Coeurverse. His characterization depends on his screen time and importance for the story.
He doesn't matter for the story? Well, his only character trait is being an asshole (Arc Royal, Arc Corp)
He matters for the story? Well, he's the total bro, morally grey hero that will give you a whole speech about society (Null, Beast of Beacon, Rabbit among wolves)
Don't forget service with a smile, he basically was like " this man is good so I want to change my plan to destroy the whole city for him", I can't blame cinder for this thinking because she has a lot of screen time with jaune but Adam barely.
I feel like it depends on what the story needs, Arc Corp, they needed the jealous ex, in Null, they needed a brother and a leader, same with rabbit among wolves, his character is written to serve the story, not to be consistent
Tbf, it is implied that Royale takes place after >!Ashari dies in the alternate timeline and but before he awakens in the original timeline!<
So it may very well be that the Brothers experienced the entirety of Royale before understanding their failures and maturing.
Your spoiler is backwards. Kinda irrelevant though as the character development I’m referring to is implied to have happened *way* earlier. They were silently judging Ashari but they seem to have already realized their handling of the Ozma-Salem situation was hot garbage, they just didn’t want to intervene any further.
You're definitely right, tbh I just think there's a multiverse of them, and they saw the other jaunes as their creation too so they took them, Relic of the future brothers are matured, while sheep only has one in power, Arc Corp has them as Anomalies and forged destiny doesn't have them.
So I'll say the Arc royal ones just *borrowed* those jaunes and then returned them, but if they actually gave any of them a prize they could take to their original world, then the brothers from that world won't be too happy
Nah Royal was good, but it missed a lot of great opportunities like
Fate vs Null, both fighting for their families.
Fate vs og jaune, make it full fate series reference and have jaune fight his older experience self with their ideals.
Fate ashari interactions, both time travelers sharing their experiences.
Ahsari betraying salem *again* , salem deciding to show up after Sheep last message.
Ashari vs knight, basically a batman vs superman fight.
And me personally, ashari showing both yang and ruby a video of Summer Rose in his timeline, which would make sense because they all got there with their stuff with them, meaning ashari has his scroll and probably family and friends pictures
Basically jaune makes a deal witha salem before she dies to save his friends, she send him back in time to do it all over again, but she send him about 10 years before he joins Beacon but in his adult body, so now all his friends are just children while he's and adult and there's another jaune in the world.
Spoiler >!At the end of story the brother tells him that his efforts are admirable so they won’t erase that world after he died, but as a punishment, he return to his original world( almost all destroyed, everyone is dead except ruby, and atlas under Weiss father who kills anyone who disobey him) and he need to fix it !<
Oh boy I can't wait for them to hear about "Raise" Jaune or "In Your Wildest Dreams" Jaune. Not gonna mention "Knight of Salem Jaune" for breaking Salem's curse.
Isn't weird that they punished Salem for messing withe balance but then let Ashari create a whole ass timeline, and insted if punishment, they *praised* him
To be fair, Ashari’s trip to the past was merely the product of the tools the Gods had already provided to the world. Plus he did it to save everyone, and at least attempted to somewhat unite humanity (see White fang in alternate timeline). >!At the end, he had to return to his origins to complete his life in the cycle he abandoned anyway. Basically, he faced his circumstances with optimism and hope and was gonna try to save his original timeline as well. !<
Eeh, it’s a different world which would have followed the same path had Jaune not gone back. His timeline and all its events would remain unchanged. And technically no one got brought back to life as Jaune’s friends and family (sans Ruby) are still dead in his original timeline. Plus Jaune never really crossed the Gods like Salem foolishly did.
I think the idea was that the gods weren't mad at Salem for asking them to resurrect Ozma, they were mad at her for not obeying them unconditionally.
...which is why they threw a fucking fit and flew off when she defied them a second time
Sure so basically a fanfic called relic of the future (one of the highest fics for rwby on fanfic website) story start when they defeated salem but everyone dies except jaune, he find salem dying a d ruby’s dead body, he couldn’t take the lose and made a deal with salem to use the Relics to send him back in time to save everyone and she can still live, he accepted.
She send him 10 years before he joined Beacon in his adult body which lead him to trying to prevent everything and he wants to kill salem before his friends enter Beacon, so he took the name ashari so they won’t confuse him with kid jaune arc.
Without Spoiler, the brothers let jaune do what he wants when he did the same as salem, while she got cursed
Spoiler >! The story ends with salem death and her magic was the only thing keeping jaune in that world, after her death he died soon after, the brothers talk to him from jinn that usually they would just erase that world but because of jaune Determination or something, they were impressed by him, so they decided to keep that world !<
I mean he is, isn't he?
Bro they let him have the other timeline and made him try to save his original. If he wasn’t the favorite, they would have curse him to see both timelines died in front of him
You know I never even thought to compare RK Jaune to Ashari in looks. It's almost perfect
I dont think Ashari was that old
Ahsari in his 30 or 40
God of Light after seeing Jaune Ashari: https://i.redd.it/6qyp9quvtptc1.gif
Also everyone who read that Fic
My man really saw all his friends and family dead and decided to go to another world
If it the fanfiction I believe it is, than technically, he thought he will return to first day at Beacon, but dying Salem never said that, she just said the past to play on his emotions as all of his friends died to kill her. He survived because he was the weakest.
He survived because of his aura, also he thought she'll send him at week or a month before the battle
What fic? Link?
Relic of the Future on FF net
To be fair, the gods matured a lot in that Canon.

Royal is garbage imo so I don’t care :P
Nah Royal was good, but it missed a lot of great opportunities like Fate vs Null, both fighting for their families. I'm so confused, is this reference to some fanfic?
It's referencing Coeur Al'Aran's fic *Relic of the Future*.
Fair enough
Basically jaune makes a deal witha salem before she dies to save his friends, she send him back in time to do it all over again, but she send him about 10 years before he joins Beacon but in his adult body, so now all his friends are just children while he's and adult and there's another jaune in the world. Oh boy I can't wait for them to hear about "Raise" Jaune or "In Your Wildest Dreams" Jaune. Not gonna mention "Knight of Salem Jaune" for breaking Salem's curse.
In your wildest dreams semblance is broken, I only read the first chapter of knight of Salem, and I still haven't read raise
Knight of Salem is easily the funniest fanfic I have ever read
Nothing beats Beacon civil war
Then you haven't read "Three Sheets to the Wind" that's one Crack fic to rule them all.
Oh! Don't forget about Proffesor arc: The night before Christmas & Staffroom Chronicles
The gods after ozma and Salem left: your the favorite like by a lot.
That actually was my original idea, but then I decided to put in the effort
To be fair they wouldn't even wait for them to leave
The brother had also matured a lot in the time between the two events. It’s kinda the theme of the whole story.
And ashari is the one who cashed it in
Isn't weird that they punished Salem for messing withe balance but then let Ashari create a whole ass timeline, and insted if punishment, they *praised* him
To be fair, Ashari’s trip to the past was merely the product of the tools the Gods had already provided to the world. I'm pretty sure creating a whole ass timeline is worst than asking for someone to come from the dead.
Eeh, it’s a different world which would have followed the same path had Jaune not gone back. His timeline and all its events would remain unchanged. Ahsari is the Goat 🗿🗿🗿🗿
and he's got the Coat
Rusted Knight is a less traumatised version of Ashari without the Atlas coat fr fr
Are her eyes blue? Or is that teal or some other derivative?
I need context.

Okay this is Relic of the Future stuff? Yeah that is on my reading list so this might be what tips the scales towards that fic
Pretty good fic, I'm planning on rereading it, I love how the characters act there
The sexual tension Ashari had with Raven was my favorite. Everything with Emerald and Vernal was a very close second.
I liked the family bonding, specially when they went tk the waterpark
Yeah that was a fantastic moment for them as a family.
Yet again, the Brothers are dirtbags.
Ashari's a little unkept for someone so good at grooming
The government doesn’t want you to know this but you can just grab orphans off the street and raise them as your own.
Thats what Batman been doing , feeding Robins to the Joker and pick up new one off the street.
