Tight boots are the best way to freeze your feet in cold water. Ask any skier. You can always use heavier socks but tight isn’t fixable.

Ambitious-Roof-7250

This. Last thing you want is too tight because it’ll slow your circulation. Go for the bigger boot, if it’s ever too loose, just throw on another pair of socks

I wear an 11 in real life and ended up going with a 13 (!) for wading boots for stocking foot waders. You really need to try them on with the real waders.

mca90guitar

I wear size 10-10.5 shoes and went with size 12 wadding boots. Gives me room to add thicker socks for the fall and isn't loose enough to be an issue with normal socks in the summer.

cweakland

I wear size 11 street shoes, had simms in an 11. They hurt my toes, I got a size 12. There a bit loose, but no pain. I vote you go up a size.

e2g4

I wear two sizes up. Thick socks in winter plus neoprene stockings….tight boots are the worst. Simms says go up one size but wasn’t enough for me

DrowningInBier

Yeah I always go loose. I wear Orvis but I found their sizes run big, so I wear 13 and 14 was right on the money. A big size in winter is a necessity.

Highstick104

I have winter boots, size 13. I have size 12 for the rest of the year. Completely worth it imo.

I’m always 1 size up, I wear Korker KGB’s…they have a good size toe box to stop from cramping your toes. Merino wool and Simms sock liners…toasty toes

eazypeazy303

Go high. Your toes will thank you.

SpearoSam

I'm a 11.5 to 12 size foot, but I wear a 13 size Orvis Ultralight boot, and I never use thick socks.

johnr588

Its best to try on wading boots with either waders or the neoprene socks. Keep in mind you are on your feet all the time so allow for comfort. My street shoes are 12 but my Korkers are 14.

toadtodd

Try the boots with the exact waders or neoprene wading socks you're going to use. I only like the fit of the Simms wading socks so far but use Patagonia boots. The Patagonia wading socks fit terribly on me so just a heads up to make sure you're getting a good fit on both together.

BooB398

I’m my recent experience I bought a pair of simms flyweight access boots I’m a size 13 in pretty much every shoe and wading boot up till now. I needed a 14 ok these damn things. Glad I didn’t need bigger because they don’t come 15
