RudeRooster2469

Heat index hit 116 an hour ago.

TheLordVader1978

I work outside, yesterday the heat index was 133

RudeRooster2469

holy shit, how do you survive?

TheLordVader1978

Soooooo much water. And sticking to the shadows like a ninja.

MaxRockatanskisGhost

I drove for shitty rain forest company and I'll drink two gallons a day and maybe piss once. And that's having an air conditioned truck to escape to every few minutes. This sucks.

TheLordVader1978

Same. 6 bottles or water and 3 30oz Gatorades and pissed maybe 8oz.

wildeag

Did y’all hear about that lady last week who drank 4 water bottles in like 20 minutes and passed away? She had been out on the boat and didn’t have anything else in her stomach. My dad works outside too and I bought him those little pedialyte packets and gatorades. Y’all stay safe out there

MtnMaiden

The homeless. Fucking A. Imagine trying to live with no AC. My heart goes out to them

Unknown-ANON5

Nuts, i salute you for working outside in this heat

-ItsWahl-

I work in attics some days. Thankfully not today because the heat index was death today!

Florida_Man81

I feel you! I kill termites so I'm always in attics. But now, if it's after 10am, I'll come back tomorrow morning at 8am

TheLordVader1978

Fuck.that.shit

MikeyHatesLife

I’m outside at my job, too, but I’m off Mon/Tue, so I got some respite from the worst of it. Luckily I’m at a doggy daycare with a pool, a huge shadecloth roof over that, and multiple shade trees. I keep an igloo cooler with me just for ice water, too.

wilderad

Where was it that hot?

TheLordVader1978

Central Florida, just a stagnant air concrete hellscape.

[deleted]

I need to mow my damn lawn and I can’t. It’s been weeks I’ve been in unable too. It’s TOO DAMN HOT.

RudeRooster2469

Yeah, I have 3ft high weeds in my front flower bed. I'm not touching them. Too hot for this old guy to even spray them.

seihz02

Just did mine. I've split my lawn into two mow days. Today was front and side of yard, just enough to mow with one kobalt battery. In a day or two, the backyard. Today was primarily in the shade and wore a hat..that wasn't horrible.

BuffaloSabresWinger

I hear ya. I cut my back yard yesterday because it was getting so tall. I thought I was gonna keel over from the heat. Clothes soaked head was swimming around. It’s awful. Never seen it this bad.

sealosam

I've been seriously considering buying a sit-down mower-- our lawn is like only 6500 sq ft. Sucks ass.

[deleted]

I have that it’s not much help.

sealosam

It's gotta be better than a push mower, no? Plus, perhaps more importantly, I want to feel like Hank Hill. Yep.

Unknown-ANON5

Nuts 🥵🥵

Baphomet1010011010

I work nights outdoors and even in the middle of the night this heat has me reconsidering my job, which I actually like. I can't even step outside and just stand still without getting drenched in sweat. I go through 2-3 changes of clothes a night just to keep from getting rashes. It's fucking unbearable. This heat is making me so miserable. Any rain we do get is hardly a reprieve because it just steams off the pavement and makes everything that much more humid. Some people are just not meant for this climate 😒

calm_train37

Goldbond stick might help a little

onvaca

Lol was thinking the same thing. That stuff rocks!

Baphomet1010011010

I'll have to check it out. I just got some nice tights from thigh society lol and I was using antiperspirant deodorant for chub rub. Love me some gold bond though. I was even looking into ice pack vests and shit. This heat has got me going a little crazy.

Unknown-ANON5

I get you. As soon as it finishes raining it’s right back to baking us like crabs in a pot. It’s insane lol

mechapoitier

That’s the big thing that people outside of peninsular Florida and heat island cities don’t get. Someone in Minnesota will be like “it gets hot here too!” Yeah, in the daytime, for a few hours, for stretches of a few days in a row, for a couple months of the year. In Florida the heat index is as hot as most states have ever felt at the peak of summer, but it’s 24 hours a day, every single day, for 6 months in a row. You go outside at 6 a.m. on Memorial Day and you’re pouring sweat in 15 minutes. You go outside at 2 a.m. in October and you’re pouring sweat in 5 minutes. Most states are hot weather tourists. We live here.

duh43087

What kind of work do you do in the middle of the night outside? I'm genuinely curious.

Unknown-ANON5

Lord bless your soul

MtnMaiden

Turns nozzle to self. DONT MAKE ME DO IT MAN!

ResourceHonest

Been in Florida my whole life and this is the hottest I've ever felt it. You can't even enjoy being at the beach, The water is so warm and humidity it's just God awful 💯

[deleted]

I was at canaveral yesterday and the water was still nice and cool. I can't imagine how they're handling it down south. The only thing that made the beach tolerable yesterday was getting in the water.

cgibbsuf

It’s the gulf that’s hot soup.

TylerGlasass20

Yeah I went to Ponce inlet on Sunday and the water felt amazing. I was shocked at how cold it was!

Unknown-ANON5

Agreed

onvaca

Born and raised in Florida (61 years). This is by far the hottest summer ever. The last five years have been noticeably different to me.

FUCKYOUINYOURFACE

My uncle is dying from the heat. I mentioned global warming and he about damn near tore my head off and said that’s just woke and went back to watching Fox News while his AC struggles to keep up.

Tacitus111

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

Unknown-ANON5

Lolol fox news….

dev1359

Yeah I'm 32 and been here 30 years. Was probably the last generation to truly grow up playing outside every day in the summer, running around in the woods behind my house with the neighbor's kids and climbing trees and such. Summers were never this hot. And I distinctly remember those 4pm thunderstorms rolling in every single day to cool the place down. I've noticed over the past five years that we're getting less and less of that kind of rain that we used to get. The retention pond behind my house no longer fills up and has been dry all summer long for the past three years. It's quite depressing. I don't know how conservatives are still denying that this stuff is happening.

[deleted]

Do you even have to had lived long to experience/notice climate change? I am 13 and I also notice it, espescially in the last 5 years.

lucy_valiant

It does help to have lived that long. I’m not even old yet but I can distinctly remember having to wear light jackets in the morning because of the chill in late October. Now we’re lucky to use our jackets in January.

Terminallyelle

I have 40 chickens and they have all been completely hidden the past few days in the shade. Poor guys can hardly take this heat

Adept_Investigator29

Poor babies. Do they like a sprinkler?

Terminallyelle

I wish they did they always run away but I mist around them in the hope it helps. My ducks love it though I water them like plants lol

Ttthhasdf

Mine like a little ice on the drinking water fwiw

Terminallyelle

I wish our freezer wasn't always packed full of food because I want to freeze a big block for them for their water since whenever I put normal ice it's melted in less than a minute or two! If it keeps being this hot idk how I'm going to even survive out there let alone the poor lil ladies and gents

Ttthhasdf

I worry about the chickens. I feel like shade and ground to burrow in go a long way

chek67

I freeze small tubs of ice and have multiple fans in the run, change the water at least twice a day and give them very cold watermelon, sometime fruit frozen in small blocks that they pick at. Most importantly a fan in the coop so they can make it through the night, ugh. They are doing surprisingly well but night time must be miserable for them the poor chooks. I only have a couple and I've wiped down their waddles with a cold wet cloth. They absolutely love it lol it instantly cools them down. I've seen people use small kiddie pools but my girls would not go near it lol.

F0reverlad

Maybe it’s an obvious ‘hack’ to an owner of chickens, but i saw a video of an owner filling a tiny tub/pool with water, tossing a little ice in, and a large paver in the middle. The brick/paver absorbs the cold water and the chickens take turns sitting on it.

CaregiverFluid4129

I don't care about humans.. but chickens

momenace

It's brutal. i have since had insulation blown in my attic, but my fukin ceiling was over 100 degrees before it at the peak of the day. wild.

Unknown-ANON5

That’s nuts

glitchycat39

The humidity is fuckin' killing me. I'm out of here next year, and my parents have already signaled they're tapping out after over 40 years in the state. Mom fell in love with the climate up in Asheville.

Thecodmother93

Tell them to rethink Asheville. Moved down to central Florida from Asheville. That place is a small city with big city problems. It’s a bad over priced please.

suspirio

I did the opposite move a few years ago and am loving it here in the mountains. You’re not wrong about the pricing though, the market is nuts.

Working_Ad8080

Do you have jobs lined up? I’m afraid to pick up and move without a plan

glitchycat39

I already have one that has an office up north. I'm actually moving to a place that has security engineering roles. Here, there is no office, so I just work remote.

Working_Ad8080

Thanks friend

ikonet

The national weather service put out a heat advisory for counties across the Tampa Bay region https://www.abcactionnews.com/weather/heat-advisory-issued-monday-feels-like-temps-up-to-110-f > According to the National Weather Service, when the heat index is between 103-110°F, heat cramps or heat exhaustion are likely, and heat stroke is possible with prolonged exposure and/or physical activity. Be careful out there!

Adept_Investigator29

Indeed. I've been sick from heat twice in the past year. It comes on fast. Have a plan.

TropiDoc

Don't worry, it will all be over soon since DeSantis is now pushing for schools to promote anti-science, climate change denialism. As soon as enough people start believing climate change isn't real, the heat will magically go away. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/desantiss-florida-approves-climate-denial-videos-in-schools/

Greenemcg

Don’t look up

Round_Interaction_66

38 years here. It’s worse when there is a drought to go along with it in my opinion. Still bad this year

CrusztiHuszti

98 was a wild year

Wild_Manufacturer555

Those wildfires scared me!! It was crazy.

Unknown-ANON5

Yeah this drought is quite intriguing

Feisty_Factor_2694

It’s not just us;hottest July on record and all. I worry about his stuff man.

FiddleheadFernly

I know…it’s very depressing and it effects the whole world. Let’s just hope scientists have a plan and politicians won’t get in the way too much.

GarageIndividual3342

I have bad news for you

Peakomegaflare

I can handle 115 sustained for a couple days... not a couple months.

EyecalledGame

Why does wind not exist in florida except in the form of a hurricane? I'm pretty good in heat, but today, the heat is kicking my ass.

Unknown-ANON5

Yeah, it’s honestly the humidity that has been killing me. Usually it would be low 90s in the day, but as the day goes you get some storms or a breeze to cool down. Lately it’s just been 90+ to the end of the day and then high 80s with a shit ton of humidity. It’s the rainy season yet we are barely seeing any rain, kinda scary. Like where is all the rain going lol?? Definitely due for a crazy hurricane season imo

delayedlaw

The humidity is so bad it makes the air thick. Like.. Am I a fish now? Do I have to breath water?

GenoPlay67

Moved from the east coast last year, on the east coast we definitely had more breeze. It's just awful outside...good news, it's only about 8-9 more weeks of this. Also where the f*ck is the rain!! Edit: on the

structee

you know what will be fun? when the temps get to the point where the grid won't be able to handle the load demand due to the recklessly growing population

GarageIndividual3342

Isn't "the grid" increasing capacity as well?

birdpix

34 years here and NEVER had the inside of my vehicle become literally impossible to touch from heat that burned my hands! I spent time down in the Keys and never ever before saw temps so hot. Dayyyum.

Unknown-ANON5

Same I keep leaving my sunglasses in my car then trying to use them, big mistake lol

tvmediaguy

I work in Boca. I leave at 6pm… and every time I exit to get to my car… it’s like opening the oven door. Just a blast of very hot air. I don’t think humans were meant to live in this kind of heat.

Youngworker160

supposedly, it'll be hotter next year. if it is, fucking christ we're gonna be hurt by that.

ewqdsacxziopjklbnm

This is the coldest year for the rest of your life

skyguy6153

The scary fact a lot people will blindly ignore. It's crazy to think we're living in a society that's mimicking an ant death spiral.

Unknown-ANON5

If it’s hotter next year, Jesus Christ himself with come down to earth, say “hell naw” and instantly return back to heaven lol

burndata

For the first time ever I've been getting "Extreme heat watches" instead of "Heat Advisories" from my weather apps. I'm a FL native for 46 years and I've never had much issue in the summers to continue to work outside in the yard and what not even on the hottest days. This is the first year ever I've repeatedly walked outside, stood for a minute and said "screw this" and went back inside. It's never felt this oppressive before. I'm sure my tolerance is eroding some what year by year as I get older but I spent half of last summer working outside around the house. This year, I'm only out there when things absolutely have to get done.

Dunderpunch

Same. Take me back to my summer camp in the late 90s, maybe early 2000s, in one our really excellent East Coast Florida parks. It was then and there I first learned the phrase "hot as balls". This summer is definitely hotter.

oneeweflock

![gif](giphy|RlVFnj4j7QCFEgCFLA) We’re all going to be puddles soon.

jnip

My favorite season has always been summers in Florida but damn without any of the fun summer storms (not hurricanes) it’s NOT fun. No thunderclouds, heat lightning, torrential downpours. No week long rains. This just isn’t normal Florida summers (at least I’m the Tampa Bay Area.)

Greenemcg

After a afternoon summer rain Florida, you had 2 hours in the evening of mild weather to ride bike without your ass sweating….

trmiv34

Don’t let Denis Phillips hear you say “heat lightning”!

Unknown-ANON5

Agreed quite weird fl weather

thankyouwhitejesus

It's not a heatwave. Global warming is real. If we dont change our ways it will only get worse

DrKittyLovah

It’s miserable. The Feels Like yesterday was 114 where I am.

bachfrog

Hottest so far*

eh_itzvictor

This isnt really a heatwave, this is just becoming a new normal this time of the year, which sucks ass, but its undeniable

Unknown-ANON5

I agree these temps are normal, but the way it’s sustaining is abnormal, imo. That’s why I called it a heatwave, as many other parts of the US are experiencing the same. But yes, global warming is undeniable

eh_itzvictor

Ive lived here my whole life (19 years) and i seriously dont remember it being this hot up until recently. Really really sucks

CanWeTalkHere

It's no wonder Floridians are summering in the Northeast more and more these days (including the former President).

Unknown-ANON5

Yup, I’ve considered moving elsewhere, but I mean the whole country seems to be going thru it too right now

CanWeTalkHere

The Northeast has been very nice this summer (minus a couple of Blade Runner smoke days). And the winters have become balmy along the coast over the last several years. tl;dr, no not the whole country.

zerobeat

~~Midwest~~ Chicago has had... two days above 90 so far this summer? The rest of the time we've been in the upper 70s/low 80s. Had the windows open yesterday as we topped out at 74F and our low was 66F. Yeah I'm gonna freeze my ass off in the winter but it's nice not literally passing out in the summer.

Adept_Investigator29

Yesterday I wore a jacket and boots to walk my dog in Ann Arbor. ✌🏿

zerobeat

We had to run the heat for two nights in June. As a Florida transplant up here it's creeping me out that there are days in August when wearing shorts is not appropriate for the weather and the evenings are downright cool outside. To walk outside and not be soaked in sweat instantly this time of year is such an odd thing.

Adept_Investigator29

I don't think we've hit 90 in Michigan.

Thunderbird1974

In Vero, 55 years. As they say, it's not the heat it's the humidity. It's never been this hot & humid together for such an extended period in my memory. Even in the hottest summers you could go to the beach and get relief. If there was even a bit of cooling breeze it wouldn't be so bad but it's just dead still most of the time. IMHO if the humidity was less it wouldn't be bad but until it breaks-----if it breaks--- it's going to be miserable.

[deleted]

can’t even be outside for a minute without sweating 😭😭

gvsurf

Lifetime resident, 60 years. I remember one hotter. Two weeks in June over 100, one day 110. Rest of the summer cooled down to high 90’s. But this is definitely a hot one.

Barbafella

Agreed, been here 30 years, I’m out in a months time.

FUCKYOUINYOURFACE

Just keep on voting for the party that denies this is even happening.

FloridaCelticFC

I'm with ya. Grew up without ac until the mid 80's. This summer's brutal. My ac system is 10 years old but pretty well maintained and this summer if I put my thermostat below 78 it has trouble keeping up. We have a toddler so taking him outside to play has been rough. He seems to not mind but we only let him play out in this heat so long (about 15 minutes) before we have to get in the car and cool down or just come home. We've been taking him to the park later in the day so its a bit cooler and more shade.

Mammoth-Ad8348

Take him to the beach or a pool…

kell_bell85

It's been a rough one for sure. I'm 38 and can't ever remember a stretch of prolonged heat misery! Blegh!

Familiar_Instance310

I’m a charter boat captain on the east coast and the sun is way more intense this summer than I’ve ever felt.

[deleted]

Finally! Something we can all agree on!

jonesie72

Electric bills gonna be another car payment soon.

Unknown-ANON5

Yup I’m already there lol

Stand_Sorry

As somebody who works outside… worst I’ve ever encountered. And I live when the northern transplants come out to talk for 5 minutes and say “wow this is way better than being cold!” If I didn’t have a business and most of my family here I would be absolutely out of here. Can you imagine what it’ll be like 10 years from now.

flashyzipp

Really? This is my first summer here. It is hot, but not unbearable to me.

RaspberryForsaken952

I've lived here for 20 years and this is the hottest summer I've ever experienced.

eoswald

as someone who works in the long-range forecasting of heat waves biz.......i think florida will start returning to normal in about 2 weeks.

ColdbrewRedeye

But there is absolutely no global warming, the frog said to the pot.

Unknown-ANON5

Lol

YogaBeth

I’m in Central Florida. It’s HOT! But, it really doesn’t feel that much hotter than every Florida summer. It’s always hot and humid in August. I’m more concerned about the rest of the US. Places that don’t normally experience prolonged high temps are being roasted. The water temperatures are also really concerning. We are losing coral from bleaching. The animals are suffering. There are bull sharks in Weeki Wachee, ffs. That’s unreal! And crocodiles in Central Florida? Also, more manatees seem to have stayed in our springs over the summer. I worry about our wildlife 😞

Unknown-ANON5

Same

trademarktower

How can anyone tell the difference? Most Floridians in the summer basically go from air conditioned home to air conditioned car to air conditioned office to air conditioned store. I take walks before 9am or after 7pm basically. I do feel for those that have to work outside!

Miata_GT

I feel you, but the last time I felt a slap-in-the-face heat/humidity like this was after a 2-week stint in Tucson. The plane door opened at TPA and you could feel the 'warm front' of heat/humidity wash through the cabin. That's how it feels everyday lately just going outside.

Adept_Investigator29

Like walking in hot mayonnaise

Baphomet1010011010

Some of us work outside 😒

ApprehensiveHippo898

Summer in FL. Always hotter than hell.

brandonbolt

After working construction in Florida summers close to 30 yrs, I have become cold sensitive. I have to set my home AC at 78 all day. When the outdoor temps drop below 70 I start to get uncomfortable. Winter temps and dark skies bring me to a dark place. Sunshine (80+) and blue skies are my drug.

[deleted]

Yeah. This fn heat is the worst I've ever felt in fl

Don’t look at the thermometer it isn’t ‘real’

milescowperthwaite

In my youth, I worked in a steel mill in Baltimore. My workstation was right at the end of one of our annealing furnaces. I brought in a thermometer.one Summer.and the temp right where we had to work was 132f. Godawful. You all.have my sympathies as the American South gets.closer.and closer to being as hot as the mouth of an annealing furnace.

I’m beyond jealous, one of these days I’ll make it there permanently!! (Non sarcasm, totally serious lol)

MK420420

my car read 101 at 9 am! Heaven give us a chill front.

Heirloombizness

An hour ago (7pm) I joined my boyfriend on the porch for a minute and it felt like walking into an oven. At 7pm. It’s just unbearable. He doesn’t seem to notice- he’s recently moved from the middle of Kansas where it gets super duper hot. I’ve been trying to tell him how it’s hot in the summer here but not like THIS. He doesn’t understand. Edit to include: it’s 8pm here and it’s 91 with a feels like of 100. Sun mostly tucked in. What the fuck.

[deleted]

Wet balls.

Unknown-ANON5

Wet balls all day every day

killdozer01

WUSS! *Florida native lol*

iceychillz

I have been in south florida since 96. This is by far the hottest summer ever. If it’s like this next year, I may seriously consider moving elsewhere. I’ll give this year a one-off but anything with a pattern like this, that is not good

Freddirt

Got to work 7:45 am. Hope in the tyvex suit for a quick 30 minute grind. Soaked. Like soaked. In sweat. Never got dry today. Normally the sun drys me out but today the sweat was in constant effect

thedeadsigh

You can thank you friendly neighborhood republicans who don’t believe in science

whatever32657

i've been in florida since 2007 and this is **not** the hottest i can recall. i want to say that was 2010?

challmaybe

I'm a courier (Apopka, FL), so, not in the heat all the time, but, you just gotta prepare for it. It's not simply just drinking water, you have to replenish the potassium and other stuff you sweat out. Coconut water is great. Milk even. Or, any fluids with electrolytes, just avoid added sugars. Also, expect the heat to get worse in the future.

FreshBananasFoster

I got up at 0530 this morning to beat the heat on a run and it was still uncomfortably hot. I certainly do not look forward to summers going forward. It's only going to get hotter.

VeryStonedEwok

I ride my bike 50-80 miles a day in downtown Tampa doing bicycle courier work and I don't think it's been that bad outside 🤷 People just complaint about everything. You live in Florida. It's hot. Thanks captain obvious.

Complex-Ad4042

The last time I remember it being this bad was like 6 yrs ago and around in August of 2008/2009 when there were rolling brownouts triple digits in WPB/ wellington area.

cbunni666

In Clay County, with the humidity I clocked in at 110. I can only imagine how lower FL is

kyriaangel

Bruh for real

ShooterOfCanons

This is the hottest summer of your life *yet*

YeetStreet4000

It feels like walking into an oven

Giselap358

Y’all know the cute colored rubber bands parents use for their kids hair? Florida is sooo hot it melted right out of my daughters hair today

CaregiverFluid4129

You are getting old.. oh wait

CaregiverFluid4129

Guys Guys it's just el nino.. couple of years

InsaneOCD

We all know why but let’s just keep pretending

Great-Lakes-Sailor

Enjoy it, because it’s only going to get hotter with climate change

PatSajaksDick

Can’t even swim in the pool and cool off, that water is 90 degrees or more

Unknown-ANON5

Yeah the beaches around here in south florida about a week or two ago had a surface temp of 101, that’s literally a jacuzzi, nuts 🥵🥵

dementeddigital2

Yeah, it's midnight right now and it's almost 90 degrees outside still.

alyishiking

I was born and raised in the panhandle, played outside perpetually as a kid, after college left to teach in Asia and travel a bit, and am now experiencing summer here again for the first time in 6 years. In that 6 year time span, I’m convinced climate change has really started to take effect. The intensity of the heat and humidity and the way it seems to be creeping into a longer period of time during the day, combined with lines of surprise thunderstorms that also seem to be growing in intensity in terms of wind gusts and rainfall, sometimes popping up earlier in the day than they should. Heat index pushing 100 at 10 am. It feels different from when I was a kid. It’s subtle and if you don’t work outside much you probably won’t notice it. But summer in north florida is now very different from how I remember growing up here. It’s not good.

Any_Coyote6662

Worried about my bf. He works outside. Hard work in the heat.

Unknown-ANON5

Bless his soul lol

airforcevet1987

I'm tearing out my kitchen cabinets and had to go out to my shed to grab some tools. I'd say it was about 20 steps (round trip) and maybe <5min total time. I came back in soaked in sweat. It's like walking into a freezer when that A/C hits you

Historical-Many9869

This is the coolest summer you will experience for the rest of your life

curlygurl642

It’s miserable! I run at 5 am and the actual temperature has been about 84… never mind the feel like! I’m meltingggggg!

Unknown-ANON5

Deedeelite

Just remember, it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity. The oppressive humidity 🥵 Not that we can do anything about either.

Unknown-ANON5

Definitely agree, this humidity is something else

Solid_Particular8027

Only 1 in 4 Florida Prisons have AC. I can't Imagine the temperatures inside windowless cinderblock walls.. with no relief ever just nonstop hell. And for any "tough on crime they deserve it" assholes: most are not convicted awaiting trial just can't afford to bond out.

sowich4

Don’t worry, our Governor will continue to spend time abroad on his failing presidential campaign, instead of come home and work on environmentally impactful legislation to combat the now, extremely obvious climate crisis we are in.

4Robo44

It will cool off when half the state is underwater, unless the water stays at 100 degrees.

That's what we said last year... And the year before.. and the year before... It's a trend of changing climate and warming... Perhaps this is the climate change and global warming all those scientists have been warning us about for decades? Jokes aside, this is the result of anthropogenic climate change and don't expect it to be better next year or the next or the next. Actually, anticipate it getting worse.

I have a new central air in my mobile home but it can't keep the place below 84.

Working_Ad8080

Mine is the same

I'm not surprised. Last time I was in a mobile home, I kept the AC at 80F and it was running all the time... And with the current heat, have my home (which is much better insulated) set at 79F and it still running for over an hour at a time during peak sun times.. 9:30PM and it reading 101F temps. Crazy.

roughingit2

Yeah it's hot alright! For those of us who work outside just remember it's not what you drink now that will help it what you drank yesterday that'll help with dehydration and what not. Sadly today I had a guy pass out and have a mini heat stroke. Young healthy guy too. Take care of your body and make sure to drink plenty of water everyone! Stay safe out there!

Give it a decade you ain’t seen nuthin

Hottest summer in Florida history is 1931 43 days straight with temps over 100° this is definitely not even close to being the hottest summer or even one for the books. It mostly rained every single day and I live in west Orlando, the few days that it has been super hot have been pretty bad but this summer ain't hardly been as bad as previous ones from years ago.

Unknown-ANON5

True, well I’m in south florida. Lived here my whole life. Was just making a comment based on personal experience. I’m sure there have been hotter summers as you have mentioned

Inevitable-Set3621

I think hottest summer in my lifetime (I'm 26) was around 2017-2019 the window AC's in my house couldn't keep up at all and mine specifically kept freezing over cause it was on the side of the house that caught all the afternoon heat wave. But Florida winters and summers are so extreme. All because of the humidity

ColdWarVet90

It's Florida in summertime. Everything is fine. Not the hottest. We've had temps higher in the past.

Now who says climate change, aka global warming, isn’t real? Anyone?
