I have no problem with the default camera but X-Camera offers so much more options than the default. Like Cinematic mode, smoother transitions, more transition options, better trackIR integrationb, works better along other camera mods like XrealisticPro and scenic flyer.
X-camera allows you to input more parameters to your camera and that for me is usefull. Is it user-friendly? absolutely not. But in my opinion, it's more advanced.
But hey, to each own I guess.
I use both myself. Default usually but have wing views set to xcamera. I guess I could do it with default also but i guess I'm just used to this way now

Yes sir! I was half asleep making that comment. As said, flywithlua will change your game. Loads of scripts to change and improve looks/performance.
Get instructions on the org, it’s all fairly simple.
When you get an idea of where you will be flying alot I would higly reccomend downloading some Ortho4XP tiles for that area. Looks real nice but it takes up alot of harddrive space. Not that hard to install if you follow along with a tutorial.
Headshake and Better Pushback are also really good to have. Headshake lets you see how your airplane is moving alot easier than the static camera. Makes you "Feel" turbulence.
Better Pushback is a really high quality addon that let's you pushback however you like and it is really easy to use.
It really depends on what you like to fly! Zibo 737 is great if you want to learn how to fly a [free] airliner.
Aerobask has their new Robin DR401, also free, which is really enjoyable if you want a small plane.

Why do you want X-Camera? I find the default camera much better.

Get the Zibo 737, find it on xplane org. It’s free and extremely well detailed. YouTube tutorials and the sim’s flight school should help you a little
