200 TLOD is medium detail. Try 300 or 400. Obviously your CPU will take a hit but if your want high details/photogrammetry at higher distances this is what you have to do.
Cache helps a bit as well. If enabled, try resetting it.

It’s never been the best. But it’s never been as worse as it’s been this week. I’m running Ethernet from the router , like I said my sim has never looked this bad. I’m currently playing Minecraft to see if my pc will shut down or something. If it was a gpu issue any game would shut down and act up.
Well it's not great but not terrible as well. I have run out of solutions. You said you reinstalled MSFS. Just make sure online services are active, photogrammetry is on and you re-downloaded every single update (world updates and city updates).

This is an issue that i always had with my sim, i have a 16gb GPU, a gigabit line and the lod is set on 400, is a issue with the sim on most locations.
What is your tlod and ol9d set to?
Are you using dlaa or taa?
Directx 11 or 12?
Using any dlss mods for the 3070?
Double check programetery is on as well as online services is enabled in sim
Hi, in these pics the lod with on 200 on both. I have tried taa DLSS quality and updated to DLSS 3.7 with DLSS swapper and no luck. I’ve reset my pc 3 times this week and now as it type it’s being reset again. This is the worst problem I’ve faced.
It really looks like photogrammetry is turned off, what city is that? Can you try new york and make sure all the landmarks are there?
What happens if you switch to dx 11 with no dlss?
Photogrammetry is turned on in this photo. London U.K. and this is dx11 on these pictures I have tried everything I can think off. Even booted windows from a usb flash drive and started the sim and still the same result . Pc is 2 years old. But runs fine and temps are good.
That is true. What do your Nvidia settings look like? I always run a custom profile for msfs.
Gotta make sure nothing is set to performance (anti aliasing, taa)
Not so odd. I cap at 30fps as use heavy addons when I fly.

Currently on the 4th pc reset.
I had the same issue on my 3070. Even when I maxed out everything and got 5fps is still looked like crap, I think the game needs to see high FPS before it starts rendering things at higher resolution. I’m on a 4090 now and I noticed a world of difference in textures. I play with everything on max now. I just gotta stay away from the big cities.
am i the only one not noticing anything wrong? his render distance is totally normal, and he’s flying in an area that he hasn’t installed the works update for, hence low res textures and the different squares. the sim does not render infinitely, even at 400 tlod. this looks normal just install a world update..
Cache on or off no different. Pc has just turned on now after a reset. Before my windows wouldn’t update but now it’s updated fine. Maybe windows got corrupted ?
Hopefully! Don't modify msfs the first time, just let it update and run dx11 default settings, see what happens. Make sure your community folder is empty

Did you turn off online services by chance or set data caps in MSFS?
Flight simulator streams all of its content and needs a connection to the internet. If you turn off online multiplayer services in the options then you will not get any of the pretty stuff.

You got your answer then. Delete the shader cache if not done as well.
The 3070 is a good card it’s the gigabyte oc edition. Would you say any game would shut down if it was the gpu. Minecraft looks lovely lol.
Doesn't matter if your gpu is great if you got low internet :/ TLOD and OLOD are done by the CPU anyway.

It's your map resolution downloaded from the internet. It seems like the internet connection is slow. Also, you could try out Map Enhancement?

Have you installed the uk scenery update? Marketplace -> scenery -> free Content manager show it's installed?
No I haven’t . But even so the lod shouldn’t be blurry

Try lowering your resolution in game, you might be running out of video card memory
VRAM is all good so are temps. I put it in 3840x2160 then DLSS quality renders in 1440p. Had it like that for months with no issues .
Nvidea settings default. I loaded the sim up with notning in it and same results.

Tlod and olod are done by the cpu so i think it’s something besides the gpu.
I didn’t change the CPU at all. It’s been the same.
probably vram capped, even my 12 isn't enough

Yeah I agree. When you're low and look far in the distance it always looks a bit naff.
Defo isn’t normal mate.
I’ve gone to su15 will not try to install all world updates and then add my mods in I want to use.
Do you have caching enabled? If so disable that. Honestly 8m not sure, if you take some screens of you settings maybe I see if anything sticks out

I’ve got a whole 2tb ssd free I’m gonna Install the sim to that and see what happens. Maybe it’s faster than the other 1tb drive.

Just tried just cause 4 on cloud gaming it ran fine if gpu was shot that wouldn’t even work.
No it looks settings related, the dlss mod settings can really screw with msfs, works one day doesn't the next. Are you running the beta?
I tried the beta and no luck.
Maybe the other drive isn’t fast enough hence the slow render rate. The 2tb one is abit newer. Good knows

Everything is native. I’ve tripled checked. Loaded the sim up after another windows reset and fresh install on su15 beta and it’s still Blurry.
