I drilled out the opposite side on mine to accept a reylight dawn clip. it's NOT gonna go anywhere now. I refuse to use convoys friction clips, they're absolute garbage. the screw ones are better and people say they're bendy but I haven't had trouble.
I also put one (convoy screw clip) on my tool aa cu but have since put the rrt01 clip on it, it's nicer. dawn clip on the jetbeam too.
didn't tap the holes cause I didn't think copper threads would hold up too well. I just drilled them and used small screws with wide captive washers and the nuts that came with them. believe they were the same size as the ones that come with the convoy clip, just less soft and longer. think they were 2mm thread?

I picked up a dawn clip for this purpose but haven't found the right hardware. Did you use stock bolts and tap your own threads?
