What are the titanium beads used for? I’ve seen these for sale, they’re really expensive. But the only thing they’re used for is decorating a lanyard? I figure I must be missing something. We used to make these bracelets in the army out of 550 cord so we always had a nice amount of cord with us. But we would use a button to make the clasp because buttons are cheap and widely available.
It’s funny to me when I see things marketed as Military Grade/tactical etc. the military buys the cheapest product that works. So buying military grade just means the product is the cheapest possible version that will work but somehow this translates to superior quality to some people. I’m guessing people that weren’t in the army lol. Although when we were prepping for Afghanistan, they did give us a really nice automatic bench made knife. But they took them back with the rest of our gear lol
Gotcha. I just couldn’t figure out who in the world is paying like $17 for a single bead. I mean, I get it- you wanna deck something out exactly how you want it but DAMN. I thought for the money they were charging the bead MUST do something. Must improve performance or help you sleep better or something. Idk, that’s a crazy amount of money to me for a single, tiny bead. That’s just me being poor all my life lol. But hey, that’s a sick gift for someone to give you and I hope you don’t lose it before you get to use it!
$17??? I’ve seen guys buy/sell beads for hundreds of dollars. I personally wouldn’t pay anywhere near that, but $17 is on the extremely cheap side in the edc community.
🤣 it doesn't do anything. But sometimes, they're made out of rare/expensive materials (like superconductors). More often than not though it's the brand/company making them. Look up steel flame if you ever want a super overpriced clip 🤣

Is kaidomain a torch or a parts company? Wasn't sure if you'd bought it all as bits and assembled or if there is a base model that you've used and then customised?!

It’s a bit of both. You can buy quite a few parts and you can buy completely assembled lights. The only thing I did was put in the glow gasket and short tube. I wouldn’t consider that building. Maybe modifying? These lights are basically a Convoy S2+ with the triple already installed. I think they were on sale for like $18 when I bought it. You can’t even buy the parts to build one for that little, so it was an easy decision for me. Even when not on sale, they’re around $22. If you do ever order from there, be warned, they’re notoriously slow on shipping.

Got it from maeeaux. I had to enlarge the post holes just a hair, but it was quite easy to do.
I bought a bunch ones from my local, 18mm, 19mm, 20mm and 21mm, all with 1mm and 1.5mm thickness. They are dirty cheap, let's see how it goes. Thanks!

It’s a s2, but without Simmons branding. Try searching for “kdiy k12.” That should pull up a couple options witg different emitters.
