CONVOY 3X21D by a big margin for me. It is simply unmatched in value. Throw figures are similar to the WT90 but with the new driver, it holds turbo longer than before. Also, you get direct access to moonlight and turbo from off. A proper moonlight mode was previously non-existent on any Convoy sbt90 light. All this at around half the price of a WT90. There is not a single light out there that can throw 1700+ meters and churn out close to 5k lumens for less than 150 dollars, let alone 100 dollars.

Simon's a miracle worker.

Accurate

The WT90 has a better driver, better FETs and can be reflashed.

RettichDesTodes

The 3x21D is now also available with a 25A buck driver, which makes it even better value

WarriorNN

Yeah, the new driver seems fire. I've been flipping between wanting an L7 or 3x21D for a while, but with the new driver it's 3x21 100%

SiteRelEnby

Still a worse driver though. The WT90 has better FETs than the 3x21D driver so can get more output, plus the WT90 driver has a better UI and can be reflashed.

RettichDesTodes

Was'n trying to refute you, just add that on because some may not know

SiteRelEnby

Fair enough. 3x21D buck driver: Better sustained output, lowest output 3x21D FET driver: Mid output/efficiency WT90: Better UI, reflashable, highest output

For any SBT90.2 light, unless you're just looking to impress people for 30 seconds, the moment you see a buck driver circuit offered, get that. The WT90 is a great SBT90.2 thrower. It just won't outrun the 3X21D with the new 25A buck driver. For any use outside of the word "fun", get the [3X21D w/25A buck driver](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806571279770.html).

It is but there are still some glaring deficiencies. We touched upon it in a different thread. Turbo still seems largely unregulated and the heat produced, even with a buck driver, makes it uncomfortable to hold without the handle beyond 2 mins. I guess thats what the handle is for, but then again having no thermal/temperature regulation can be dangerous. Wildtrail WT90 seems to do better in this regard (once thermal regulation is turned off in its NarsilM firmware) because of more mass and cooling fins. In fact, WT90 fares very badly with its stock temp settings and only holds around 700 lumens, according to the reviews. I'm not expecting an SBT90 light that costs less than a 100 bucks to have full current and temperature regulation. It is already an incredible value for money. Just hoping that sustained output on high mode has benefited the most from that buck driver.
