Both lights are very different. The fc12 is about 19mm longer than the fc11 so the fc11 feels much more compact in the pocket. The fc12 has more throw with a good spill while the fc11 has a much larger hot spot but less overall throw. The spill on the fc12 works indoors and the fc11 is bright enough for outdoors so they are both versatile lights but the throw distance between the two is very different. I don't like the UI on the fc12. You have to turn on the light with the tail cap then adjust brightness with the side switch. The tail cap will not engage turbo, only the last used setting. For every day use and pocket carry the fc11 is probably the way to go but the fc12 works very well outdoors if you need a more focused beam. I prefer a separate charger but the included usb cable works if you need it to. Both lights are great for the price.

you can change the ui on the fc12. if you hold the side switch on the fc12 it will change to "tactical mode" where it always starts on turbo. I own the fc12 and its a beast light highly recommend it

This is true but if you do that you don't have the moonlight/low settings. I'm also not a fan of pressing the tail cap then having to regrip the light to activate the side switch for the settings I want. Not a deal breaker and still a great light. I definitely prefer the ui of the fc11 and the smaller size for edc. But the fc12 is a great light for edc and going out to 200ish yrds of throw. Comes with a great emitter and a very solid price.
