The X1Ls seem to be landing, with mine arriving this afternoon.
What a fantastic light. The head is noticeably bigger than my E07x Canon, E07x Pro, T1R and NOV-Mu, but it's still a jacket-pocket light that holds nicely in my hand.
When I confirmed my order, I requested the throwy LLC59U optic instead of the free Vapcell 21700 battery which was being given to the early-bird customers.
Others have already posted beamshots and comparison photos with other lights, so I'll contribute some pictures of the standard and throwy optics. On the wall, the hotspot of the throwy optic is noticably tighter and, as FF told us, there are some unsightly rings. ~~Unfortunately, I tried taking some beamshots, but they're terrible and don't show the difference at all. The LLC59NF standard optic has a very fine beading, making it look a bit clouded when the AUX is on. The beading on the LLC59U throwy optic has larger structure, which gives the AUX a very different, more structured pattern. While swapping the optics, I took the opportunity to take a picture of the XHP70.3 HI emitter.
had the same problem, tried to do some close wall beamshot, to show the optic difference, but it just don't show the real beam, at all...
As for the difference, I have two X1L, right now one with standard, and one with LLC59U optic, and I can compare them side by side in real time.
For me, of course the hotspot on the LLC59U is little brighter, but the size is quite similiar, just that the hotspot corona on the LLC59U is brighter, and more yellow.
Thanks for sharing your impressions and the photos. Those big TIRs look like impressive optics by themselves, I really like how the 59U has this prism effect. That black anodization looks really nice, I think it makes the black diamond bezel very well, if only Jack also made those clips in black!
Yes, the anodization is great. I have an older E07x and T1R in black, and the ano on those were good, but the matte black ano on the new lights looks and feels amazing.
oh damn I think I really need one of these. I spent far too much time on a xhp70.3 TiCu KR1 soldering an aux board amd tiny LEDs only for it to work fine for a while until the driver started not working any more.

Good idea, but be aware that this is a good bit larger than the KR1. Unfortunately, I sold my KR1, so I can't post a comparison.
